Has anybody played this game other than myself?

Has anybody played this game other than myself?

It's like the only JRPG on the Switch so I figured that'd give it a fanbase no matter how good it actually is, just like what happened with the Tales series.

no. you must be the only one!

Dunkey said it was bad

dunkey thinks anything with turn based combat is inherently bad

Is Dunkey black? Or does he just talk like a black?

Americano

Dunkeys a fat white guy who looks like he has down syndrome and is the brother of Nick Bates.

Yes, its fun. Ophelia is best girl.

I played it and loved a lot about it, but the lack of character interaction or even presence during the main storylines was fucking awful. Two sentence dialogues about nothing once per chapter per character in the taverns, and a handful of them after you beat a main story line, is really weak.

Even though some of that flavor text was fun, the game could have used some of the time used to give villager #79 a fully fleshed out tragic backstory, when the character passed an insight check, on giving the player characters some dimensionality.

Y-y-your excellency?

I finished it recently, and despite it's flaws I enjoyed it a lot.

>It's like the only JRPG on the Switch
I like bait threads, but Jesus fucking Christ, this is just too easy.

What else is on the switch?

Wrapping it up now, can't remember the last time i enjoyed jrpg combat to this extent. Any other games with great job systems like octopath? besides ff5.

Bravely Default and Second basically have the same system but better

I beat all the chapters and just have the end game stuff to do. Overall while combat and artstyle is fine, but the story just ends up being too derivative and feels rushed at parts. It's an okay game but there are certainly much better jrgps out there.

Good game with good threads for the first few weeks. Then everyone beat it and moved on. Hoping the upcoming mobile game isn't gonna be shit.

Got to the second chapters of everyone's stories.
It's an interesting game, but honestly, all of the characters felt way too generic.
The stories were mostly kind of predictable, at least so far as you know that they will always end in a dungeon with a boss at the end.

i tried bravely before but wasnt a huge fan, think ill give it another shot, thanks

>but better
I don't see it being better. Octopath with its weakness/break system just gives a lot more gampeplay depth than bravely did.

There is real choice on whether you want to dump all your brave to break the boss asap if you feel like he could be dangerous. Or you can try and fight through his attacks and save your pips to blow him up when he's guard broken.

With bravely there's none of that you just might as well always go ham if you have the brave to spare.

What are some good jrpgs for switch?
A lot look rather entertaining, but I don't want to add too much to my backlog.
Rather, what are the worst ones to stay away from?
I have Vesperia, FF12, Labyrinth of Refrain. I am interested in The Lost Child, The Lost Sphear, I am Setsuna, Seiken Densetsu Collection, Octopath, Disgaea 5, Chocobo Dungeon, World of Final Fantasy, and Xenoblade.
Anything Worthwhile that's missing? Hidden Gems? What is Little Dragon's Cafe? It looks cute.

these

Ophelia's opening is so touching.

Not enough of her being an edgelord, but I did like her, I wouldn't say she's best girl though becuase of H'aanit's dancer costume and chapter 3

I've got about 160 hours in it. I have done everything but kill the final (secret) boss.

Cyrus FTW.

How close do you think you are to beating him, I found having rune lord and sorcer pretty important for the first round because transfer rune+Light rune+elemental break doe a shitton of damage, (18-26k with Ophilia depending on if you have magic buffed, and is only hard for the first phase when he has multiple spirits up.)

Second phase is tougher but I found having 2 scholars to break the blade quickly, whilst Haanit and Olberic could spam arrowstorm, level slash, or thousand spears to get breaks in on everything else, it's also nice that he only has 180k health instead of 500k

>putting H'aanit in a dancer costume
What fiendish thoughts dost though thinketh?

It looks good when I don't need to rely on her repping thief, same with OPhilia's dancer, or Primrose's scholar

Ophelia is not for dressing lewdly. Shame on you

it is not the only jrpg on the Switch

>based Olberic only thinking of the knight's way and not getting distracted
