Does anyone play AQ legitimately anymore? Javascript removes most of the tedious elements, usually only try my character on the Void bosses anymore.

I check on my characters when I remember about AQ (mostly thanks to these threads) and play a bit but realize it isn't fun unless you are a 12 yo edgelord with a lot of time to grind.

Every now and then, I sunk actual years into the game so I feel a bit of comfort coming back and grinding for a level up or beating a quest line once every few months.

What are some examples of this? I've always skipped through the cutscenes and such.

In the final battle against Drakath, he catches you by surprise, rips off your wings, and throws you off of an extremely high cliff. Gravelyn has the option to cut him down in his weakened state, but she chooses to save you instead.
There are also a few instances where she calls you sweet, says you are the only human she trusts, etc.

Her personality is pretty easy to gather from all of the dialogue they have on the wiki. She's a confident, calculating girl who loves her father and seeks to accomplish her goals in his stead. However, she's a much more practical kind of evil, preferring to ally with others if she feels that doing so would be beneficial to her empire. Though she has a severe distaste towards humanity and has very few friends, she cares a lot about the Hero and Chuckles, the only undead she's been able to make using her own powers.

I know. I know her story from DF as well, just finished rewatching the cutscenes in AQW too. But there's difference in writing about someone, and writing as someone. It's hard to explain. If I can't get into a character's head to the point where I feel like I could answer any situation like they would, I simply wouldn't write about them. There's no point in character developement if it doesn't feel natural. Surely, there is an easy story there about her letting go of the tough girl routine to the hero/to chuckels/to herself/to some unexpected other, then gethering herself back up to get her revenge even if in a metaphoric way, rather than soldering on as a drone, but that's too cheesy and not interesting at all. It's as if she's only a setup for this obvious outcome. The more interesting story would be her spending forstvale or whatever with the hero, just a slice of life during the war, but I also hate headcanon into something that is never once refered to in the canon.

The Hero helped her celebrate Frostvale when she was a kid through weird time stuff, didn't he? Doesn't seem much of a stretch to have her invite her closest friend to celebrate with her.

This is especially why I added the last part. I wouldn't. I also don't feel like I could personate her well enough. ...But I feel that I'm starting to want to write something. Maybe in a future thread.

Any way to blaze through the story content of Adventure Quest, Dragon Fable, Mechquest, and Adventure Quest Worlds? I was always more of a Mechquestfag alongside AQ. AQWorld I played two years or so I think. I remember loving the Voltaire quests whenever they came up. I wish I could find a guide showing how to progress the main line story because there's so much content I don't even know where to start. I can't believe they have p2w packages for a single-player game, though. I used to be able to hit caps way back when vampire queen whatsherface was beatable. They patched that out though so now I can't imagine how long it would take to reach caps, even at the best farming spots. 30 minutes? 1 hour? Of basically just clicking the "Attack" button despite having all sorts of spells and skills just because it was fastest/most efficient
