Blizzard created Overwatch with the intention of making it an e-sports focused game, which is why they artificially pumped it with so much cash despite being days old.

Still no team scoreboard. Blizzard keeps pushing this game competitively yet it's a team game where you can't see team stats. Even if I know whats not working for the team there's nothing stopping people from just denying responsibility.

Some characters are situational and require specific team composition to be viable. Some characters are strong in most comps (or at least will not get you reported).

If you have played for at least 10 hours, you can easily see that some characters don't work. Picking them only makes people mad.

I went through the usual Blizzard game pattern where I buy it, play it 24/7 for some amount of time and then I quit it and never play it again.
I feel like this happens because in their games the core gameplay is kinda weak (or in case of OW it's awful) but everything else is ridiculously polished.
I did this with D3, WoW (several times, because I'm not a clever man), Hearthstone, and Overwatch.
The last game from them I actually finished and didn't just quit was D2.

The game is TERRIBLE now. I say this as someone who loved the game at launch and over its first year and dumped hundreds of hours into it. The balance is a fucking joke now. The “supports” are so ridiculously busted to shit, meanwhile the high-skill DPS heroes hardly get picked because healers and tanks can output nearly as much damage while being much easier for the dogshit casuals who pollute this game. Moira, Brigitte, now Baptiste, they keep adding these fucking bullshit “support” heroes who deal hideous amounts of damage. The fact that the meta for the last half a year has been 3 tanks and 3 supports is hilarious. And what does Blizzard do? Release ANOTHER “healer” who has an ability that prevents teammates from dying and an ult that doubles everyone’s damage output. A fucking shit-pants toddler could balance a game better than Blizzard, it’s best to just stay away and let it die.

But now you have these 3x3 comps where an unstoppable wall of tanks is supported by so many healers you *literally* cannot do enough damage to kill them. The game is literally ruined.

I'm not going to get into whether or not yelling racial slurs at people in-game doesn't warrant some kind of action from Blizzard, but I still think removing access to the game entirely is the wrong course of action. It may even be grounds for a lawsuit, since Blizzard is deliberately destroying someone's property after it had already been sold to him. I'm sure there's some clause in the EULA that says they can do it, but that doesn't supersede the law if the law says he bought the game and therefore it's his.
