I can't stand her DD model, or anyone's DD models in general after seeing the massive improvements in SoJ.
DD models don't look like 2D and don't even fit the Ace Attorney art style.
SoJ actually went out of its fucking way to redo all the models to give them that same 3D-that-looks-2D look that ArcSys games have.

SoJ no contest. It's in my personal holy trinity of overall best AA games: TT, AAI2 and SoJ.

Bar the fact that it Apollo gets ANOTHER BACKSTORY meme, I really enjoyed all the cases and the story was good, but the only real issue is the leftover from DD which isn't resolved.

They introduce a new main character and do literally nothing with her in the sequel, Athena still needs saving in 6-4. Phoenix still is a bluffing idiot and not mentor master keikaku man like in AJ. Edgeworth has to save the day again at the end. But none of the games are perfect, so I look at the bright side and think the pros outweigh the cons.

Personally I quite enjoyed DD...if played in chronological order. They tried to make it a Tarantino film with the anachronistic story and it falls flat. I recently replayed it from 5-DLC, 5-2, 5-3, 5-4 until the bomb, 5-1, 5-4 after the bomb and 5-5 and it makes the game a lot better.

I actually really like Athena, both mechanics, character and story and the final two cases were great, but they poorly executed the villian.

Regardless, SoJ I can tell you has a chronological story, and a great one at that. Expect feels.

I played DD chronologically with exception of the bomb.
Also DLC is Case 3, not Case 2, you fucked up and didn't play it chronologically.

I hated that because it was so transparent Phoenix had no faith in his client and was just stringing him along to bait him into incriminating himself. I'm not sure how you could have done it differently though, the only workable change that comes to mind is replacing Phonix with a Payne.

I’m playing through the trilogy for the first time on Switch. I like Maya. Specifically, some of her sprites are very cute. She has some adorable expressions.

The point was showing how much she matured, which was fine, people keep memeing about the kidnapping but fail to realize it was a cover up for the Plot twist.

The DLC was garbage though, she was original trilogy style and it did nothing but ruin her progression

I liked the DLC case. I think Maya is basically done progressing as a character, and don't deny that the DLC was anything but trilogy bait. Not that it was terrible by any means, it was a good case.
