I haven't posted on a forum since the mid-2000s. Even reading them makes me queasy. A friend got me to browse a subreddit for a while and it was unbearable. People would go into the profiles of people they disagreed with just to see how popular they were/what subreddits they posted on and lambaste them for it.

It's pathetic.

Reddit has for the most part taken the place of the numerous decentralized forums that used to exist. sadly its worse and just brings everything under one unavoidable banner.

At least with cs.rin I can just browse and ignore people and take the cracks and what not, or just go elsewhere.

After visiting and seeing the forum I sure won't be contributing there.
