>the just ordered this guy
>First time I'm going 144Hz
>Worried it will be horrible since it's not IPS
Pray for me guys.
You dun goofed. Should've bought OPs monitor. Its sexy contrast ratio of around 3500:1 and vibrant colors put ips to shame.
Still, it's among the best 24" TN monitors. 144 Hz will make you happy no matter what
>24"
>TN
good luck
>1080p
>2019
27 is too big and 1440p is barely noticeable on a 24 inch
Ops has ghosting problems. I've researched and it's either get a VA panel with worse responsiveness and blacks or a TN with horrible viewing angles and worse colors.
Why isn't IPS fast enough? Makes me mad.
True. On top of that if you actually want 144 Hz in most games then 1080p is a must
>curved meme
like your penis, incapable of fertilizing a pure white womb
this
dumbass plebs can't even play MHW in glorious 4K with the HD texture pack
>Why isn't IPS fast enough?
They exist it's just you're going to be paying premium for it. If you want everything to be perfect expect to pay a pretty penny otherwise you'll have to take hits else where for cost reductions.
>has ghosting problems
It's the newest 24" VA panel (also used in the aoc c24g1 but with 115% sRGB)
Ghosting is only an issue at low framerates in specific scenes
Well good luck finding a VA non curved with the same specs you brainlet
Which model is it because all I see is this when I googled ops image. If that's the one then yes it's been shown to have ghosting.
Why the fuck is it curved at 24? Shit that's bad. I've used one of those before and it made my penis looked curved when I used it for photo editing for my channel.
Left is it. post testufo ghosting test as proof or gtfo
nigga u blind
I'm reading it from reviews and comparisons.
You can do your own research I'm just confirming what monitor you're talking about.
idk man, 27 inches feels pretty damn immersive to me.
i'm using one right now
How far do you sit from it
But 1080p is Eeehhch-Deeee!!!!
Like I said, you need those 144 fps to avoid ghosting. Either that or lock fps to 60 or 72 ingame and put the refresh rate if the monitor to 120 or 144. That will get rid of ghosting too.
Samsung CFG73 is elder god tier, but the stuff MSI & AOC make are great too. I just wish Samsung's motion blur reduction had lower strobe settings for 30,60hz,etc.
anwhere from 25 to 30 inches from the monitor i guess
>QLED
it also offers me more screen real estate at 1440p, makes it easier to program, make documents, etc.
bump
...
>Work
srsly? you're acting like the only hobby anyone on this board can have is video games.
gonna go pick this up at micro center tomorrow, it'll be my first 1440p pretty excited
>Acer
good luck
>27" TN
is 1440p at 24 inches worth it? seems like it might be kinda cramped
Ive got this Acer thats 27" with 1440p and theres a massive visual difference between running things at 1080p and 1440p on it.
>1920x1080
>2019
How does it feel to live in the past?
Same shit as DVD's 720 x 480 pixels.
If it's not 1440p or 4k, you've fucked up, son.
>dumbass plebs can't even play MHW in glorious 4K with the HD texture pack
Yeaah...
Let me play that MHW in 4k with my $2000 GPU.
I like to be able to play my video games at a high framerate without needing a NASA computer, thank you.
Order this monitor earlier this week it came in today and won't turn on I have to send it back and wait a whole nother week before they send me another one
Does the price on this thing ever go down?
Just buy 2080Ti, goy.
>165hz
For what purpose. 144hz is already pretty fucking good and I doubt your brain could tell the difference between 144 and 165. It might be noticeable in a racing game where shits going by super fast, but eh.
thoughts on picking up a predator monitor? a friend has one and it looks pretty solid, just wanting to know whether im overpaying at like 600 or not
who /2560x1080/ here?
>24"
>not just picking up six 27" 1080p monitors for $80 each and playing everything at 5760x2160 resolution
fucking plebs on Yea Forums nowadays....
Why the hell are retards buying TN and 1080p monitors in 2019? That shit is literally trash tech from what, 2007? Jesus fuck
I don't have $600 to spend on a 27" 1440p 144hz IPS monitor so I gotta compromise somewhere on it.
How come I never see anons buying Scepter monitors?
Can a 25-27" 1440p 144hz monitor that isn't a piece of shit be had for $350 or less? What's the usual price on a decent one?
It was originally an overclock feature but eventually it became a standard feature. Since it's G-sync the refresh rate doesn't really mean the same thing since it's completely variable, but your frame rate will cap out at 165 instead of 144.
MOAR EXPENSIVE = GOODER
You can find some, but they're gonna have a TN panel
get VA panel retard. it looks better than IPS but not as good as OLED TV
Stupid retard. It doesn't look anywhere near as good as IPS. Why do you think IPS costs double a shitty VA panel?
VA is a meme
i have both an IPS and VA panel they are very similar if you calibrate the colors. OLED is way better than both desu and you should go for that if you have the money.
Why haven't you fallen for the Ultrawide meme yet?
Is TN really that bad if my main use will be gaming and I'm partly colorblind?
What's the next step up and what kind of prices would I be looking at?
I know pretty much nothing about monitors, what is VA?
Probably uses the same panel as the Asus shit that costs twice as much too, Sceptre has been around since the 80's so they aren't amateurs in the monitor business but they lack the brand recognition with younger generations I guess.
Never open your mouth again.
No wonder retards in here buy 1080p.
>pg279q
Have fun with the lottery.
I don't want to move my subwoofer to make room for it.
TN isn't that bad, but once you've used IPS it's definitely hard to go back. If you want everything you said plus IPS the price is gonna go up considerably, like $500-$600
Just buy a regular monitor you autists, there's no noticeable difference.
prove it
subwoofer must be put on the floor for maximum performance
higher refresh rate is definitely noticeable you mongoloid
I have a curved LG ultrawide monitor and I love it. Just wish more games had native support for the resolution
I don't put electronics on the floor.
>defending ips glow
uh okay then
Guys... You could have waited just a bit you know...
These are coming out this year. 144hz IPS panels for great prices.
>27" - 1080p
Yeah, no wonder they are cheap. No one wants that.
Seriously, do a little research, you're doing it wrong pal
>1080p
>1080p
There's decent price 144hz IPS 1080p monitors right now
Post 3 then.
>get a defective monitor
>return and replace
It still astounds me how many peoples' first reaction to getting a defective product is to write a bad review without even trying to get it replaced. If you drove a car off the lot and the engine fell out, would you take it back to the dealership, or leave an angry Yelp review and just accept the loss?
Looking forward for this to arrive:
>34" IPS
>3440x1440
>120Hz

I went through 4 PG279Q and 2 XB271HU before giving up. Retarded QC

yikes
>curved
The image on your computer is calculated to be shown on a flat screen. Having a curved monitor does nothing but distort the image.
It's so ugly.
Why can't they make something like this which looks like an Ultrasharp?
new high end gpus when
because it needs to be for the GamerZ
looks better than the competition
Those designs all look retarded, I have to agree with that.
How
Navi for 3rd quarder this year
Nvidia will release something to compete around the same time most likely
What's it like realizing you have inferior eyes?
The textures being 4k has nothing to do with the resolution of your monitory you moron. If you put a 4k texture on a tree stump and that tree stump takes up 3% of your screen, it doesn't matter. The texture could be 8k for all it matters. Texture packs are a marketing gimmick for morons who want the biggest number on everything. The only thing that actually benefits from 4K textures are landscapes. And it's a non-issue anyways since everyone is switching over to a deferred decal art pipeline.
Doesn't curved only make sense on monitors 32"> and with aspect ratios like 21:9 or 31:9?
What the cheapest 1440p 144hz ips monitor?
>get VA panel retard. it looks better than IPS
I was also worried about ips, until ive seen 144 fps and suddenly fuck colors.
The pinnacle of comfyness
>Trusting AMD GPUs
Navi will disappoint fucking everyone for not delivering on the marketing hyped and it'll be the same AMD shit.
If you are a PC gamer, there's no reason for you not having a job
>Why haven't you fallen for the Ultrawide meme yet?
>implying
Hope I won't need to RMA it because the quality control for those $1000 monitors is hilariously bad.
For me, its LG
VA = Very Awesome
IPS = Insanely Poopy Screen
TN = Turbo Negro
Post 1 in 24" and I'll paypal you 1mil.
Also gtfo with your ips glow and poor contrast ratio
everything is good except the vertagear chair. how much money do you make for all that stuff in the room?
having fun playing games without ultra wide support on launch and stretched media?
For me it's this one.
Testufo is meaningless.
My 2010 IPS ghosts more than modern VA panels, but you'll never detect it in something like Counter-Strike. You have to start dragging windows around like a maniac to the point where your eyes can't see them sharply anyway.
So yeah, the technology has limits, which are also higher than your body's limits.
Games that I play support ultrawide.
Movies are natively 21:9 and look fucking amazing on my monitor, only shitty TV series are 16:9.
Give me your best 22" maximum 1080p60/75 monitor with speakers.
>curved
>1080p in 2019
the game you have as your wallpaper has the cutscenes stretched across the screen because of terrible ultra wide support
lmao
I won't recommend you shit, sorry.
>*glows*
The HUD is stretched as well.
PC ports are majority of the time horrible on 21:9. I bought Asus's IPS 34" and returned it after a day.
>stares at a black picture on his monitor
Yeah no, fuck 24'' and 1080p.
youtube.com
So? Cutscenes are also locked for 30 fps. Are you going to cry about it as well?
Game plays perfectly fine in 21:9.
>tries playing Thief on IPS
>cutscenes stretched
Wrong.
>The HUD is stretched as well.
Wrong again.
At least try next time before blatantly lying about something and making yourself look like a retard.
It's noticeable all the time when darker content is being displayed. Which is pretty much all the time.
Cope harder, glow nigga.
Is curved a bullshit excuse from the manufacturers because it's easier to produce somehow, a brainless normie marketing trend that doesn't improve anything, or actually beneficial?
That is still terrible ultrawide support. It's even worse with games like Sekiro that flat out don't launch with support at all.
Still better than the garbage that is TN and the blurry cancer that is VA. Higher end IPS monitors have less glow anyway and I only use high ones so I don't notice it much.
Hope you enjoy VA's ghosting because high refresh VAs are the biggest scam for retards.
You've never used VA.
It's not. You have to use mods that weren't available for a long time to get good results. PC ports from devs like Square are horrible on 21:9 monitors.
If its wide enough, it is. Im using the alienware 34 curve, and not once has it crossed my kind to upgrade.
Actually I bought the MSI MAG271CQR and returned it the next day a while ago.
Higher end ips monitors are also limited to 60 hz and like 8ms response time making them unusable for gaming.
>That is still terrible ultrawide support. It's even worse with games like Sekiro that flat out don't launch with support at all.
nexusmods.com
Am I supposed to care?
Sweetie, it's a PC. There's a solution for everything.
If you are scared of mods or dealing with shitty jap PC ports, stick with consoles instead.
1080p though. I've been looking into ultrawides lately. I like the 21:9 aspect ratio for games, but every ultrawide QHD high refresh rate monitor is so damn expensive. I cant justify the purchase to myself T_T
Lemme guess, you ran testufo and decided it ghosts?
1440p VA panels are blurry indeed. That's why you don't fall for the meme and go 1080p.
I was talking about gaming monitors and I don't think there is any 60hz ips gaming monitor that can be considered high end.
>get ready to buy 144hz monitor
>stumble across running dual-triple 144/60 monitors
This is the most retarded shit, and why haven't I heard about this until yesterday? I feel like I was lied to. My dream of having a 144hz and my 60hz IPS as a 2nd monitor is dead
you people are fucking zombies
Start with a LG 2560x1080p
Even the new $2000 Asus IPS gaming monitor glows like the devil. It's what ips does, get over it. Saying there's no ips glow is like saying there are TN screens with awesome viewing angles.
You fucking retard you use proved my point. You have to use third party mods that aren't available when the game launches.
Definition of terrible 21:9 support by devs.
Imagine buying a $1000 monitor and you have to wait for mods to play games.
How is 16:9 media treating you by the way?
I never said there wasn't any glow but I'd rather getting over it than use a TN a or VA monitor.
That's because every manufacturer uses the same type of IPS tech.
Resolution is too low. I've been using a 4k monitor for a couple of years now and 1080p looks blurry as hell because of it
well then the cheapest 3440x1440p are also by LG around $600 tho. the price difference between the two is insane.
>He fell for the curved meme
Lg has nano ips and Samsung has qdot or something like that
There are games with native 21:9 support, official support added later and mod support as well right after the release of a game.
You are just a poor, seething retard who cannot afford anything and needs to shitpost about something you have no idea about.
>Imagine buying a $1000 monitor and you have to wait for mods to play games.
?
As I said, all games that I play support 21:9.
>How is 16:9 media treating you by the way?
I told about it already, do I need to repeat it for mentally challenged kids? It's obviously designed for 16:9 poorfags unlike movies with native 21:9 aspect ratio. Big deal. Can use a TV to watch it anyway.
I know this is off topic but I'm doing my first build and can't decide on cpu, 8700k, or 9700k?
Or is the 9900k worth the price?
21:9 is the future.
16:9 24" poorfags are already jealous.
>Samsung has qdot
Isn't that VA though?
>wanted to buy a cheap 144hz 1080p TN for vidya
>look into monitor stuff and find out how autistic it can get
>try out friend's IPS
>difference is much less relevant than I expected
I should always keep in mind that people in tech shit are autistic fucks that sperg out over the slightest details. I can't wait to have fun playing video games
I think you're right, my bad.
I never wrote there weren't any games with 21:9 support. I wrote PC ports by known shitty devs like Square has launch game with horrible 21:9 support.
Games like Nier never got official support.
Bought this some time ago.
>144hz
>1440p
>Freesync
>IPS
>4ms
>not curved
How did I do?
Yeah, it sucks. I'm just waiting for a decent sale atm, and playing games in windowed 21:9 when I feel like it lol
Got this one. Very good for gaymen.
MG279Q?
I have the same one and bought one on release.
I managed to win the lottery and have only at the lower right corner glow.
Otherwise it's a great monitor.
And for some reason it's still the same price it was on release.
lg.com
This monitor can't come soon enough.
There's a difference between cheap and expensive IPS panels.
>VA
Why would you pick the least readable type of panel for a computer monitor? VA is literally terrible, unless you have a multi-monitor setup and use a separate monitor for all text-related purposes.
I do actually.
How long has LG been showing that one again? I'm not expecting it until late 2019 or 2020.
I'm sure there is, his was some meme ASUS 700€ on Launch one and it just didn't look worth the money. I don't do professional image work so anything too costly is just going into the "diminishing returns" field that nerds love to argue over
9900k isn't worth the price, 9700k sucks ass, go with the 8700k
Games look miles better on a 1440p IPS over a 1080p TN. Put both of them next to each other and you'll have your balls blown off.
>IPS
>lolglow 60hz 8ms shitwank
>VA
>blurry spooky ghosting meme
>TN
>shit angles, shit colors
WHAT THE FUCK DO I PICK
>>IPS
>>lolglow 60hz 8ms shitwank
see
don't fall for this monitor.
There are only two display presets with accurate colors. One locks you out out of every possible monitor setting including brightness and the other adds a noticeable blurry filter which can't be disabled.
Enabling Freesync limits the monitor to 90fps and adds massive input lag.
TN is really terrible for everyday work. It gives greys this awful silvery shine, I suspect it's partly the reason for the awful color schemes of Windows 8 and up. I don't even mind the color shift all that much, just looking straight at it when it's not playing a movie or a game is unpleasant.
pretty sure you can run 144hz and 60hz monitors at the same time without issue
I absolutely despise the glow IPS has, even if it's minimal, especially since everything I use is in dark mode and most of the games I play have a spooky grimdark atmosphere
nice
you don't pick. you wait for OLED
>There are only two display presets with accurate colors.
What do you mean by this?
I use racing mode with custom RGB, It's 100/96/96 and brightness on 50 and contrast on 80 and have no issues with it.
>Enabling Freesync limits the monitor to 90fps and adds massive input lag.
No need when you run shit at 144Hz.
Yeah sure buddy, I didn't say otherwise. I said that the difference isn't relevant enough to be worth the money for someone who just plays vidya and occasionally browses the web. Paying for more than that is just walking into diminishing returns territory.
Yep, I got it a while back, I haven't gotten any glow problems but I'll have to check again.
I heard there was a program or something that could raise the Freesync cap but I dont think it would fix the input lag. That sucks.
I'm still surprised monitors are even bothering with HDR seeing as how it directly affects fps.
Windows runs all displays at the refresh rate of the slowest one (at least on Nvidia cards). When I tried running my monitor in 1080/60 and TV in 4k/30 (couldn't go 4k/60 because of a shitty cable), my monitor went to 30Hz too.
TN colors of native 8 bit panels are actually not much worse than IPS. You can only find them in 27" 1440p monitors tho. Dell and viewsonic have one, at least in germany
>HDR seeing as how it directly affects fps
The fuck, since when?
Also HDR on monitors are a meme until they support HDR1000 fully.
racing mode is the blurry one and doesn't allow you to adjust the sharpness. Get glasses if you can't see it.
Hey I have that monitor, its okay, I wish I had money so I could buy a decent GPU and a 1440p 144hz ultrawide.
I have this too, had to give up on ips MG279Q because it was a bugfest with freesync and the QC was the absolute worst
It's definitely worth it if you play games. Just like 144hz is worth it over 60hz.
You can't. It's been a problem for years and has never been fixed.
If you're playing something on the 60hz one the 144hz one will start stuttering and drop down to match, which makes everything effectively useless. So forget about playing a game and watching a show at the same time, you can't even shitpost on 4channel while watching a youtube video. There are apparently fixes and work-arounds that solved it for some, but nothing definitive.
That's an Nvidia specific problem.
Have you tried connecting the secondary display to your integrated GPU?
You cannot use 10 bit and 144hz as you have to lower the FPS to 120 to enable 10bit color.
What the fuck guys? I can run windows desktop on 144 hz no problem and I can e.g. play a game at 144 hz while having chrome on the other 60 hz screen. Amd card
AMD doesn't have this problem at all
What part of "diminishing returns" and "not a relevant difference for me" did you not understand? Is it really that hard to grasp different people have different needs? If I say it's not relevant for playing vidya it's clearly because it's not relevant for the vidya I play ya dingus.
>racing mode is the blurry one
No blurry shit on my end.
Why lie when a 2 second google search proves you wrong?
assuming one can only afford mid-range GPUs ( 200-250$), what's the best upgrade from 1080p/60fps?
stay 1080p and go 144hz or 1440p IPS 60fps.? I've heard quite a few games break (like physics/frame time etc) if you try to run them above 60fps.
I might have dun goofed and got myself a 32 inch monitor.
>TN
Horrible viewing angles unless sitting in front, colors get distorted if I try to watch shit while laying in bed.
>IPS
Backlight bleeding due to design, amount depends on build quality and can be different even on same model.
>VA
Worst response time of all causing ghosting/bad motion blur.
Which cancer do I pick, what would you recommend me for a mix of gaming/watching shit?
It's supposed to come this summer, I hope for something like June still but yeah...
literally everything you find on google says this problem occurs with Windows 10 and Nvidia GPUs but not AMD GPUs.
But it is relevant. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.
I seriously hope you didn't overspend on your monitor since it seems you're literally incapable of reading text
Is there any good Dell gaming monitors still or are they gone?
who gives a shit about viewing angles
how about you sit with your back straight you niggers
>1080p
>24"
>VA
>curved
YIKESSSSSSSSSSS
Works on my machine.
VA. The contrast ratio alone makes everything look so much better. It's as much of an upgrade over TN and IPS as 144hz is over 60hz.
>buying terrible chink shit
>VA
LOLOLOLOLOL
The thing is you're retarded. It doesn't matter what you see as relevant or fits your needs. The difference between TN and IPS is huge and that is fact. It doesn't matter what you think or how you experienced it on your friend's PC for a minute without a proper comparison.
I was debating on getting this one. Just like you described: 8bit panel 1440p 144hz. I don't care too much about viewing angles. I do care about color contrast on this one though so I am on the fence
tomshardware.com
>mention the difference not being relevant enough for my needs
>mention autistic spergs sperging over details
>autistic sperg goes NOOOO YOUR NEEDS DON'T MATTER
Truly amazing, sperg out some more autism boy.
Yee, good contrast really pulls me to it and its a good middle ground between TN/IPS when it comes to viewing angles, not to mention lack of backlight bleeding.
I'm just really worried about ghosting because they have worst response times measured, how noticeable is it in faster paces games?
By gaming you mean 144hz? Dell only has a good TN with 144hz. I bought a 2719D but it's 60hz however I don't play games over 60hz because GPU heavy games can't go over 70-80 fps on my 1080 anyway.
It's across everything. W7,8,10 Nvidia and AMD. I'm still getting a 144hz monitor and just hoping I can fix it though.
>1440p is barely noticable on a 24 inch
you're bananas
Step aside kid
anyone have this one? it just went on sale for $340
I have this exact monitor and I'm really happy with it.
Checked! Depends on the monitor and game. Bright games like csgo and Overwatch don't ghost at all. Games with lots of dark transitions are problematic tho. The higher your framerate the less of an issue it will be. So make sure you can push those 144 fps.
Also 1440p panels ghost MUCH more than those faster 1080p ones.
>1080p
>27"
lol
>27" 1080p
>IPS
Neat, it's decided then. I'll get it and try it out. If the contrast is bad I'll just return it.
Is bretty gutt but WAY too big.
are curved monitors some next gene mem shit or what
I've also been looking at it. How is it compared to Dell's 1440p IPS panels?
1080p 144Hz is good shit man.
1440p looks nicer sure, but costs more. The advantage of 1080p 144Hz is its significantly cheaper to buy into over 1440p 144Hz.
As someone that likes to flippy flip his monitor(s) for muh TATE, muh shmups, yeah curved is for zoomers. Unless it's ultrawide, then it goes back to being cool again.
well that fucking sucks, too bad AMD cards suck too
guess I need to bite the bullet and get 2 144hz monitors
yea never mind
the S2719DGF is not available here in the nordics and the price directly from Dell is absurd
I'm running a gtx980ti and have 144hz on my main and 60hz on my secondary no problem.
is the viewsonic xg240r the best sub $300 dollar 24 inch 1080p 144hz monitor for freesync.
>is not available here in the nordics
wow, even the shithole baltics where I am from has them and for pretty cheap too
This, unless you sit one light year away from your monitor you'll notice the difference.
Because LCD is a horrible tech. Why do we accept this shit not being replaced by something better by now?
iiyama.com
how's this to replace my fucked vp228he?
>1080p
Hope you're getting it for your fucking console faggot.
>Buying 1440p when he can't even hit 260hz at max setting
lmao your life
I wonder how many people buy 144hz monitors and can't even reach 100 fps.
>have giga gaymen pc
>no monitor yet
>not picky so was going to go with the dell S2719DGF
>its TN, 1440p, 27", 144hz. and usually goes on sale for $300 every week or two
>want 1440p, 27" or lower, and 144hz
>do not want bleed lottery (more than usual atleast) and ghosting
What do?
I'm probably going to buy an OLED for shows/movies/upscaled anime
No, oled is shit and has an unfixable burn in problem. What you want to wait is for microled.
MicroLED for PC monitors is years away.
OLED burn in is already mostly solved with deterioration only setting in after displaying the same content for several years.
If you think I'm buying a goyvidia meme card for 1200 bucks the joke's on you.
Might be years away but at least it will be viable.
OLED burn is not fixed as you claimed (and only showing after a few years). The specific reason they arent making too many oled monitors but tvs is because desktops all have taskbars that are there and cause the problem (or you have to live with a sliding taskbar, but then u better make sure you dont keep open the browser too long cause again same problem). It's just not something oled will ever fix and oled is on its way out.
Furthermore new news tech wise, they just figured out how to make a single led change colors (not an array of color leds like all old monitors and bulbs, truly color changing leds in one).
gizmodo.com
I reach 144 fps every time I play an older game.
they probably play old games or turn all the settings to low

are any of these upcoming monitors worth waiting for? I kinda want to try HDR but I heard it's a meme
Shit like D44M, Wolfenstein, KF2 and RS2 (on occasion cause that game's not well optimized) gives me 144fps maxed on a sapphire 290.
Older games like DDDA run 144 no problemo.
>still no HDR1000 monitor
You need 5000 hours of exactly the same content for burn in to become a thing and even then you are probably not going to notice it in daily use.
It's going to be years before MicroLEDs get small enough to make monitor sized displays and a lot longer for color changing LEDs to be put into monitors.
Microleds are adjustable size and can be monitor size...?

They are going on sale soon too for tv.
I had OPs monitor for about a day. The ghosting and smearing were the worst I've ever seen. I genuinely wonder how and why the fuck a piece of shit like that even gets released.
HDR on pc is fucking garbage.
The aoc g2 flat series looks very tempting btw. 24" flat 144hz ips with a sexy 120+% sRGB. Mmmmmmmmhm
MicroLEDs are used for giant 75" 4k TVs where the LEDs can be relatively big.
For the same LEDs to fit in a 30" 4k monitor they would have to become 80% smaller.
>no freesync
Can anyone here vouch for the XG2401?
Imagine being the only one at my level
trash
Titanfall 1 was pretty comfy
wouldnt mind having 3 of those so i have a dome of light hugging my face
does freesync/gsync even do anything? need a new monitor soon im still in the 60hz dimension
big can be good for a 2nd or 3rd monitor on the side for movies, console gaming, porn or what not.
>60hz
Who in their right mind use 60hz in 2019 anymore?
wording this
that's exactly what I use my 32 tv for, only problem is it's some 720p trash that I took from my dad for free
me
I can't find a single 144hz monitor in my country and shipping one costs $300-400 on top of the price of the monitor
fuck that
im broke as fuck dude lol
I got a 144hz laptop recently and I don't get the hubabaloo, it's pure diminishing returns over 60fps
It's noticable, sure, but it's pretty minor. It's nowhere near as big a jump from 30fps to 60fps.
what about PLS?
I have this
It's actually a downscaled 4k panel and it's pretty blurry with text at 1440p
If mine legit had the firmware that locked 4k I would have returned it.
>was gonna get AOC G2590FX
>for 30€ more I can get the PX version and swivel it
I'm so easily impressed by gimmicks
Well as a counter example I really like 144hz but don't consider an 144hz IPS a worthwhile investment over 144hz TN. I think it comes down to what each person wants to get out of their PC.
>got a 144hz tn monitor
>colors are fine, viewing angles dont bother me at all
im so glad i didnt fall for /g/ memes. i have dell ips monitor next to it and it's not that much better, the biggest difference is obviously the refresh rate. i laugh at faggots who spends 2-3x times their original budget and then complain about backlight bleed
Looking for a monitor with the following criteria:
>144Hz
>1440p
>27 inch
>IPS
Any suggestions?
Anyone got a suggestion for a cheap secondary monitor for my laptop that I won't feel bad getting rid of when I upgrade to a desktop with proper monitors?
>24 inches
>VA
>1080p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHO BUYS THIS SHIT IN 2019?!!!! HOLY FUCK IN A FEW MONTHS 2020 AND PEOPLE ARE STILL USING 1080P
Didn't mean to quote
I say a ips monitor at 60fps.
bhphotovideo.com
I got two of these for office work and the LG for gaming.
oh no no
>rubs sock covered feet on carpet when walks
>but it's pretty minor
Bullshit, go get your eyes check
>1080p
yikes
bruh can yall tell me wtf is freesync good or a meme?
>want a decent monitor
>they all have cringe-worthy GAMEN stands with obnoxious designs, legs sticking out at 80 degree angles, and glowing shit
it’s hard having taste bros
just get a vesa mount
So I need a new monitor but have an Nvidia GPU, so I'm stuck with this gsync meme (or does it really matter?). Any recommendations for a 144hz 1080p minimum monitor for some gaming?
