You have entered the gameplay threado, here we talk more on Devil May Cry and what is to come. I just have one question.... 1. What exactly is Dan and Reuben saying when they say "We have plans"? 2. What type of bosses/regular enemies do you hope to see in the next coming DMC video game? 3. What do you hope the gameplay mechanics will be like? and... 4. Which is your favorite DMC game?
>1. What exactly is Dan and Reuben saying when they say "We have plans"? They're channeling their inner Dutch van der Linde >2. What type of bosses/regular enemies do you hope to see in the next coming DMC video game? No more flying Jews, please. >3. What do you hope the gameplay mechanics will be like? Same as 5. and... >4. Which is your favorite DMC game? 5 with 3 being a close second.
How goes the S ranking my anons? I've S ranked every boss on Hell and Hell and DMD and I'm preparing for the sweet victory lap but I got to thinking; Do you need to S rank every mission with every character for the achievement? Like do you need to do mission 13 with all 3 boys
>returned for Beowulf >Dante stole it >went to fortuna after Mundus >fortuna girl isn't around >went to check out Dante >the fucker is in hell what the fuck >went to get Yamato back >it's there, waiting for him, and very glad to be in his hands again
i hope it will be just like 3+4 part, fifth is shit, bosses not individual as previous, weapons are just copies of previous weapons, fucking INERTIA, lmao
Michael Myers
>Danate has Rebellion >Vergil has Yamato >Nero has none Nero needs his own exclusive demon sword for him he had Yamato but his deadbeat father took it back and Nero's Devil Trigger form has Katana moves as if he still had Yamato. I think he needs a demon Katana sword like Yamato. I mean yeah his Red Queen is cool but isn't a demon sword.
She made him feel less lonely and was good company for at least a little while.
Levi Martinez
>1. What exactly is Dan and Reuben saying when they say "We have plans"? No idea. >2. What type of bosses/regular enemies do you hope to see in the next coming DMC video game? Idk, just give me an interesting villian that isn't fucking Vergil again. >3. What do you hope the gameplay mechanics will be like? Like 5, but improved (inertia and reversals please, I need those). If there's a new character I hope it is actually fun to play, V gets boring fast and I'm not even a high level player. Also, give me Nero's grabs at the start of the the game, I need those. And don't make me buy enemy step and get more orbs again. And delete that dynamic music thing. >4. Which is your favorite DMC game? 4.
>Btw what name would it have as a demon sword? Red Queen. Or Crimson Queen. Or Scarlet Queen. Something like that.
Ethan Thompson
How about Bloodlust?
Oliver Hernandez
Dante and Vergil would probably be a better game if we just consider 5 Dante and 4 Vergil, Dante alone offers more gameplay options than Nero. Buuuuuuuuuuuuut I like Nero more so just make Nero more complex and I'll take that.
Cameron Gutierrez
Edgy.
Matthew Bell
I'd like to keep the Queen thing, you know, poker and stuff.
I heard a tweety bird whisper something in my ear about Dan and Reuben saying those words.
Samuel Nguyen
Reminder to new anons to emulate the PS2 version of DMC1 the HD Collection version is botched and may leave negative impressions that were not present in the PS2 release.
Matthew Turner
Was it big and blue?
Owen Reed
Niiice. (Why are Russian women so beautiful? Why are Russian men usually so....not?)
Jason Wilson
Dan mentioned capcom having plans on a video a few weeks ago. Reuben also said something similar in an interview a couple days ago. Also reuben will be at e3.
Logan Walker
I guess you might be say that.
Ryan Powell
Men's life is hard in Russia. Most of them get their first gray hairs in their early-mid 20s.
Aiden Ortiz
you are allowed to skip V levels. you are not allowed to have a rank below S on V levels. it has to be a hyphen or S. the entirety of human rank can be skipped.
John Rivera
I always thought Russian men looked more like this.
Reuben has his hands dipped in a bunch of things so it might not be DMC related. Dan I'm not so sure about but he also said he was going to be in something non-Capcom related. Which I presume is that Mortal Kombat show.
Their faces tend towards more being feminine which is why the women are gorgeous. Wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for the men if it didn't result in them often looking like el goblinos instead of attractive twinks. Also yeah, the average Russian man has a lifespan 10 years shorter than the average Russian woman. They take good care of their women and not enough of themselves.
Carson Bell
Not far enough.
Jeremiah Ward
I have a friend from Russia and apparently there's way more women then there are men. In Moscow, 70% of the population is female. So there's no competition, and also men haven't had to really look hot for women in Russia, they just had to be able to support her. DMC btw
Considering the quality of russian girls, this is unironically a good idea. Moscow is a shithole tho, unless you want a slut who wants only your money.
Mason Sullivan
/dmc/ organizing a trip to moscow when
switch catto and birb to the trigger buttons and you'll thank me
>trip to moscow Why? You guys just said there aren't hot men in Russia.
Zachary Turner
I currently have them on the bumpers, lock-on on square, read book on cross and jump on triangle. Rewiring my brain to use two hands at once is tough but I guess it's better considering the overlaying inputs.
Easton Campbell
Faggots can stay in their cellars.
William Moore
you retard, there's tons of hot women there
why werent you using two hands before?
Joseph Carter
>tfw I can finally see Vergil in him It's a curse. A FUCKING CURSE.
David Powell
What a qt.
Brayden Jackson
I just find it more confortable to use my thumb, in general. I'd rather press two buttons with it.
Luke Lopez
>tons of hot women ... uh I am in a DMC thread right?
>he doesn't know >he doesn't know that women evolved to be at least 20% lesbian deep down >he doesn't know that women are scientifically proven to enjoy looking at hot girls as much as men
i just flew to lebanon to go see if there's any hotties like V there after only finding obese midgets in ireland and i dont understand, why is everyone screaming allah akbar at me?
which devil breakers can shoot projectiles back? I never experimented with them but I'd love to use this tactic more, I did it with gerbera againts urizen's fire balls a few times and felt awesome, I love giving bosses a taste of their shit
He didn’t meet Vergil the year before DMC3, he met Gilver.
Oliver Diaz
>maxim is 31 >adam is 33 Why were you fuckers complaining about them using younger models before? That isnt a big age difference between the brothers and the models.
Sebastian Wood
>I suddenly became an adult at 18 Okay, Vergil. We know you just wanted to be cool like dad
Brayden Edwards
It's the same retards who complain that Verg's voice sounds too young.
What do you think it's like to be so good looking somebody stops you on the street and makes you a model?
Grayson Martinez
Who knows?
Blake Walker
>tfw that's exactly what he did with Sanctus I bet he stalked her a bit after she kicked him out for pissing her off.
Ethan Thomas
>the entirety of human rank can be skipped wait what? I thought I had to do every difficulty, what the fuck am I doing at human for fucks sake
Elijah Carter
He sounds good for 3 Vergil who is supposed to sound young, and now that Vergil's a lot older he's roughed his voice out to reflect the passage of time.
Justin Davis
>urizen_omnomnom.mp3
Oliver Torres
It's definitely an ego boost, but if you're with someone else and they don't get scouted, then it hurts both of you. t. got scouted twice
Sebastian Taylor
What are you hoping combat to be like in the next DMC?
The first pics we got of him when we found out weren't that great but he did look pretty young there. People mentioned that he might have been early twenties and that's why people complained about vergil.
Yeah dan mentioned that as well, growing alongside vergil as an actor. He did a great job here. I loved the credit scene with dante his voice is perfect.
>v climbed through windows >vergil climbed through windows Vergil doesn't know what a door is
Jackson Long
GODDAMN this was one of the best indepth videos on DMC5, also silences some of the stupid shit people said about some of the plot points >hurr durr nero got his dt cuz phonecall youtube.com/watch?v=el5Wbu-vl4o >nero mirrors his fathers obsession for power >but unlike vergil he does not sacrifice others to gain what he needs
itsuno is a slut, he'd fuck all the DMC boys if he could it's not just that v would give sloppy bjs but vergil would be more experienced and know what he's doing, thus giving you a better experience
What would that make his dad and uncle then? too busy having a pissing contest while the world is in imminent danger and him being the only one to acknowledge that fact lol
Kevin Wilson

>One of the most popular character in his series >Selling point in the SE releases >S tier in UMvC >Had a son unlike virgin Dante >Got more power Is there anything Vergil can't do right? (Besides parenting)
The irony of the memes is that he is by far the most adult of the spardas and he's the youngest. The ending proved it, he had a lot more to be pissed about, and still let it all go. Vergil refused, Dante also refused because Vergil refused, until Nero was like bitch nah you can't do dis
Brody Miller
better than dante maybe, but vergil and nero are well equipped and better experienced to give the succ
don't even get me started on v's dry crusty cracked lips
People mistake nero's can't be arsed attitude with dumbness, like the nico/can scene. He literally was just coming out of a fight with a giant demon, and he was noticeably exhausted from it, the last thing that was on his mind was some bullshit that nico needed lol
nobodys mistaking anything, he is unga to the dunga

Sorry but that goes to Dante, letting Vergil power up TWICE back to back. One instance sitting there listening to V monologue about how he was gonna rejoin Vergil kek
>vergil reads william blake >nero designed his ornate gun and is seemingly technically minded as he helped Nico fix the van >dante.............got mislead by a clown
Juan Brooks
What do you think the Japan region demons are like in DMC?
What type of different devil arms do you think Dante will get next game?
Henry White

Dante scoured the whole Fortuna Castle library before Nero showed up. He's more booksmart then he lets on.

Pure fucking kino.

How are they gonna top Devil Trigger as the battle theme in future games?
Isaiah Peterson
No wonder Dante is a virgin. Who needs women when his sword is perfect.
Sebastian Gomez
To me it spoke to the fact that he cared more about making sure his dad and uncle stuck around more than getting back at the asshole who stole his arm.
Then again, I'm sure curbstomping his power-hungry dad who never acknowledged him and was also the asshole who stole his arm was catharsis.
Late as hell to the party but Nero vs. Vergil is my favorite fight in DMC period now, the narrative made it fucking powerful. I'd been waiting 9 years to see Nero go off on Vergil for how he's done him, and it was amazing, especially the ways Nero can utterly style on Mr. I NEED MORE POWER.
Michael Collins
The scene with Agnus in DMC4 is Dante letting his true intellect shine with someone who can truly appreciate how smart he is.
I like that Nero reprimanded both Vergil AND Dante and told them that both of them are retards with a retarded mindset that will solve nothing. Dante is not a hero in DMC5 and I feel like a lot of people miss that
Matthew Myers
Careful, you'll summon danganronpafags.
Josiah Garcia
>There's only hard job, sweat, tears, and tons of fixed mistakes. I suck at doodling with a mouse but I'm a decent artist with pen and paper. I don't think I've ever cried over art or had to put in too much effort. I was born with above average art skills though I haven't trained them much. I just spend them idly doodling. Talent is a real thing and some are just naturally better at things more than others. Everyone can become a master but not everyone is born with the advantage of talent. I am not a master. Maybe one day.
Visions of V is monthly right? Or is it bi-monthly?
Jaxson Thomas
>v riding an invisible cock still want a gif of this fuckery
Xavier Gonzalez
Can't blame them. Imagine Itsuno saying "fuck you and fuck you for enjoying DMC" to all DMCfags.
Ethan Nelson
I disagree with your assessment about Dante not being a hero. Or rather, he wasn't _the_ hero. He set out with good intentions, but the moment it came out it was Vergil behind all of this he knew it was him or Vergil, otherwise this shit would keep happening especially since this was basically DMC3 all over again. It's not heroic, but definitely akin to the whole, "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions" deal.
It was Nero who, as you said, knocked sense into both of them that their sibling rivalry was causing more trouble than it was worth.
Really the only sour point is that this time Vergil seems like he legitimately got away with murdering a whole city. Least he let himself be cast into Hell as repentance in 3.
He was stuck in hell between DMC1 and DMC5. This is what he is talking about when he says "suffering defeat after defeat". He was constantly being attacked and didn't have the yamato. This has been confirmed by Itsuno and Matt.
Cameron Howard
twice monthly.
Of what?
Asher Wilson
He's definately more tech savvy than the rest I mean his literal game mechanic is operating multiple different tech arms. True ungas can't understand tech, it is beyond them, let alone operate them with such precision. His very mechanic is a contradiction of the pure unga
Dante knew Urizen was Vergil since the start and thanks to his characterisation in both 5 itself and Before the Nightmare, we know that the moment anything related to Vergil shows up he goes into full blinders mode. At the end of 5 he cares more about his autism with Vergil than actually saving anybody and Nero rightly puts him in his place and tells them that they're both fuckheads.
He's still a good guy but he's not a HERO hero in DMC5, if you get me? He lets his vendetta take over whereas Nero overcomes it.
Evan Wilson
He's clearly delivering the daily dose to an invisible Vegeta.
Who here would like Vergil's theme to just be Crimson Cloud when he's playable? It's fitting. The song works. Vergil should be doing the same gay mannerism along with his autism. It all works. youtube.com/watch?v=51_1zQg2k6s
How did he get into hell if mallet was in the human world and out of hell then?
>suffering defeat after defeat Ouch that gotta hurt being defeated by low level demons, no wonder he was so desperate
Matthew Murphy
I kinda get your point, but Dante's motivations still were ultimately humanity first, just like Vergil was I NEED MORE POWER.
Especially since after being level-headed there were clearly points in 5 where Dante was legit pissed.
Speaking of, I loved the parallels with Nico and Nero. Part of me wishes he didn't have Kyrie because she'd probably be a good match for him. Otherwise I'm glad he's been taking good care of her. Wish we got to see her.
Isaiah Brooks
Don't forget that Dante himself assembled Ebony and Ivory, albeit following Nell's design. He also personally modified Coyote-A to be such a handcannon. He's no Nico but he's certainly got some skills in that department
Noah Perry
Wrong. Because Dante hasn't done anything wrong. He never wanted Vergil to re-form. He gave Vergil a chance to relinquish the Yamato so he could save the world. He did everything within his power to save the day.
Nero is only the hero because he was able to convince Vergil to stand down and fix the problem. Which is something Dante couldn't do.
Adam Roberts
It's been a while so I could be wrong, but wasn't Mallet Island and the demon world essentially merged at the time of Nelo 3?
A lot of the demon's at Mallet Island weren't actually physically there, but were possessing objects to manifest. Even if he was physically there, when he exploded he was returned to hell. Considering he was stuck in hell for a good 10-15 years I imagine he was holing his own for a good amount of time, but was slowly being whittled down.
James White
dante's chest doesn't need tits to look delicious though
I'm not saying that Dante was a bad guy or anything but his autism towards Vergil certainly didn't help the situation. Throughout the whole game he's constantly pushing everyone away and refusing help because he sees Vergil as HIS problem and something that he alone must deal with. Rather than even attempting to talk to Vergil when he gets back he attacks him immediately.
Like one of you said, the road to hell is paved with good intentions and whatnot. He was doing what he thought was right but he was still overtaken by his (admittedly justified) vendetta.
Matthew Butler
How many times do you think they've fucked in that outfit?
Justin Walker
I aint gay so I'll take ara ara mommy Dauntie over bara tits Dante
A remixed version would be poretty neat. I think anons are telling you to fuck off cause saying he should be doing the same gay mannerisms. I also disagree with that but some anons are real heated due to V fujos
Alexander Morgan
>I'm not saying that Dante was a bad guy or anything but his autism towards Vergil certainly didn't help the situation.
Explain how it didn't. Because, as I see it, there isn't a single point in the story where Dante does something that isn't with the intention of stopping the threat to the world as quickly and efficiently as possible.
>Throughout the whole game he's constantly pushing everyone away and refusing help because he sees Vergil as HIS problem and something that he alone must deal with. Because he's the only one who is strong enough to. Trish and Lady got absolutely destroyed, V is a weak bitch and Nero not only lost the devil bringer and Yamato, but also got his shit kicked in. Not only that, Dante is pushing Nero away because he doesn't want Nero to know that Vergil was his father and he especially doesn't want Nero to kill his own father or be killed by him. These are noble and logical intentions that do not, at all, detract from Dante being a hero or "being autistic about Vergil".
>Rather than even attempting to talk to Vergil when he gets back he attacks him immediately.
When Vergil asked to "Finish it with his own hands" Dante trusted him and let him. Vergil immediately betrayed that trust and said "We're going to fight, heal up". Then when he approached him again he asked him to hand over the Yamato peacefully. You cannot be fucking serious about "He didn't even try to talk to Vergil". Vergil instigated the entire thing, he could have said whatever he wanted at any time if he was interested in anything other than fighting Dante.
That makes sense, thank you. In the btn novel they also explained that the bigger the portal the more they can manifest themselves in the human world if iirc. Is that how vergil came back as well?
Henry Roberts
Is that a 5-introduced plot element? The description of the Hell Cainas seems like a retcon to explain the marionettes.
David Johnson
I like it but it belongs more to V. We should get something that reflects Vergil now after being joined together again.
Jayden Cooper
Vergil's battle theme should just be Rokumon with lyrics.
Jason Harris
I only recall reading about it in 5, but it may be elsewhere. The 5 explanation is not just about the marionettes. It's also talking about all the enemies that turn to sand when you kill them in DMC3.
Nolan Cox
I think they connected the rise in portals between Hell and the human world was tied to the return of the Qliphoth, which doesn't really make sense if Vergil didn't open the portal that would allow it to enter the human world until after stealing it from Nero.
Nolan Morris
Legacy but combined with techno and violin
Carter Long
>only vergils son was able to coax him >vergils son also ended the drama swiftly >which in turn caused vergil/dante to cut the tree >which vergils son reminded them of in the first place Nero saved us all. Dante is deadweight.
Isaac Sanders
When Vergil first reformed, he did nothing but pick up his book and look confused as fuck. Before a conversation could even be attempted, Dante attacked first. Not saying that Vergil wouldn't have fucked off to do the same thing otherwise, but Dante didn't even try.
Nero put it best at the end. There are other ways of settling their differences, but Dante and Vergil are both so set in their ways that they refuse to attempt anything else.
As I said, I'm not saying that he's bad or that his intentions were bad, but there were definitely ways he could have handled the situation better than rushing headfirst into the situation and trying to sweep it under the rug before Nero could find out what's actually going on.
Who else hoping that Nero's DT mechanic unlocks more and more arms to do things with in the future? Anyway posting what his new theme should become. youtube.com/watch?v=aWnS8iKYnbQ
It was actually introduced in the DMC3 manga. Arkham explains how the Sins use sand to manifest themselves in the human world as they can't physically cross over alone. The scarecrows in 4 were also literal scarecrows being controlled by hundreds of little demon bugs puppeteer it. Before the Nightmare just expanded on this aspect and gave some more rules regarding it, like said DMC4 bugs being small and insignificant enough alone that they can pass through physically.
Austin Lopez
Wasn't it balrog that was opening portals? Couldn't vergil have gotten out that way.
BtN explains that "holes", small portals, open up on their own fairly regularly, particularly in certain places like Dumary Island and Fortuna, but they're usually too small for anything major to actually pass through. For an actual big dick demon to come through, there needs to be a large enough portal opened by external means, such as summoning shenanigans or the Hell Gates in 4. The reason Balrog could come through (and also the reason Dante theorises he got out after DMC2) is that he had a fragment of Yamato after it was broken, and cause Yamato has the portal shenanigans even a small shard can allow a big enough portal to be opened. The Qliphoth isn't mentioned in this equation
>When Vergil first reformed, he did nothing but pick up his book and look confused as fuck. Before a conversation could even be attempted, Dante attacked first. Not saying that Vergil wouldn't have fucked off to do the same thing otherwise, but Dante didn't even try.
Vergil JUST betrayed Dante's trust literal SECONDS before this. He told Dante he wanted to finish it wit his own hands. Dante BELIEVED in his brother's redemption and let him do it. That is him talking to Vergil, that is him making amends with his brother. Vergil betrayed the entire sentiment and Dante is rightfully upset and correct in expecting ill-intentions from Vergil. GUESS WHAT, he was fucking right as well, because Vergil immediately told him to heal up and fight him. If Dante had just stood there and done nothing or said anything Vergil would have said and done the exact same fucking thing and the ending would be no different.
>Nero put it best at the end. There are other ways of settling their differences, but Dante and Vergil are both so set in their ways that they refuse to attempt anything else.
Yes, he did. But it is Vergil who is forcing this, Dante is not at fault. Dante has always given Vergil opportunities and outs. Dantre did not force Vergil, in any way, into making the decisions he did or acting how he did. If Vergil had given him the yamato when he asked for it, Dante would have immediately gone and destroyed the tree. He wouldn't have even fought Vergil if Vergil wasn't forcing his hand.
Please explain to me how Dante could have handles the situation better.
Caleb Murphy
Thanks for making me notice. Now I can't stop either.
Eli Wright
I know that, but I don't know how else to describe the twirling, and pinking biting bullshit besides calling them gay mannerisms.
Robert Nelson
I want Vergil to handle me like he handles Yamato.
Dante could have asked why he split himself in two. He could have asked why he was doing all of this. He could have told Vergil to simmer the fuck down and wait until they take care of the tree before they settled their fight. He could have told Nero what was going on instead of trying to sweep it under the rug. He could have been less fatalistic about the entire situation.
Again, I'm not saying that his intentions are wrong or anything, but by letting his vendetta take over he starts falling down to the same mindset as Vergil, rather than overcoming it as Nero does.
Perhaps this misunderstanding between us is because we quanitfy what it means to be a "hero" differently.
Aaron Carter
Ok Vergil is a slut Vergil is a slut Vergil is a slut
just the idea of making nero hot and exhausted is... hot
Benjamin Jones
>Dante could have asked why he split himself in two. He could have asked why he was doing all of this.
Vergil would have said "In order to defeat you, heal your wounds Dante, get strong. Then we'll settle the matter". He doesn't need to ask these questions because he knows the fucking answers already.
>He could have told Vergil to simmer the fuck down and wait until they take care of the tree before they settled their fight. Vergil would have laughed and said no. With-holding the Yamato was the only way he could force Dante to fight him to the death, which is what Vergil wanted.
>He could have told Nero what was going on instead of trying to sweep it under the rug.
He did.
> He could have been less fatalistic about the entire situation.
Kayden Anderson
Vergil has more aspects of british colonial style than japanese desu. If he had a sabre instead of a katana it wouldn't change much He's still a massive ass dork though
>He could have been less fatalistic about the entire situation.
Yeah, it's not like he's facing the greatest threat he's ever faced, that only he is even remotely close to being strong enough to defeat, that has an equal chance of killing him.
>He starts falling down to the same mindset as Vergil
Give me an example of a single moment where he deliberately neglects the threat of the Qliphoph destroying the world so he can fight his brother over their differing idealogies. Because that is Vergil's entire motive.
Julian Myers
Sure, he could have said all the same things and events would have turned out the same, I'm not denying that. But Dante didn't even ATTEMPT to come to a different outcome. Again, I'm not saying that Dante was wrong, just that he was not the HERO.
And by HERO I mean in the traditional sense, not just the protagonist who defeats the antagonist. I think that Nero takes that role and embodies its virtues more than Dante does in the story.
Evan Harris
Vergil can't be a slut he's too covered up. Now dante's a slut with his tight pants and low neckline shirt.
Cameron Powell
actually, 5Vergil takes heavy inspiration from the romantic goth scene. i'm sure this is to better parallel his goth V side
>But Dante didn't even ATTEMPT to come to a different outcome.
He asked him to hand over the yamato so he can stop the tree. How is this not an attempt? What more do you expect him to do?
Juan Rodriguez
>Give me an example of a single moment where he deliberately neglects the threat of the Qliphoph destroying the world so he can fight his brother over their differing idealogies isn't that literally what their final battle is? Nero even steps in and explicitly says "hey dumbasses the Qliphoth is still fucking things up so stop fighting and actually take care of it"
Cameron Williams
No, no. Dante acts like a slut but won't put out. Vergil is reserved but is a horny slut. For all we know Nero probably has siblings.
Ethan Jenkins
>isn't that literally what their final battle is?
No. Dante is fighting Vergil because the Yamato is the only way to destroy the tree and Vergil refuses to give it to him. Vergil is refusing to give it to him to force their conflict and resolve their clashing idealogies.
It was a half-assed attempt. Even Dante himself says that he didn't expect Vergil to hand it over.
I feel like I have to say it again, but I am not saying that Dante was wrong in his intentions or that Vergil did anything right in the situation. I'm just saying that Dante's mindset in the situation does not embody the big hero virtues, that goes to Nero in this scenario
Parker Cox
>It was a half-assed attempt. Even Dante himself says that he didn't expect Vergil to hand it over.
Because he KNOWS Vergil and he's not a retard. He knows that there is no way to talk him down. There is LITERALLY nothing he could have done to convince Vergil otherwise. He could have said PLEASE VERGIL I LOVE YOU, MY BROTHER, WE DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS WE CAN BE HAPPY and Vergil still would have forced the fight.
You have a very deep misunderstanding of the relationship between Dante and Vergil. They have a deep understanding of each other that doesn't come from exchanging words. Dante knows Vergil is set in his decision to fight to the death and there is literally nothing he could do to change his mind. Vergil is essentially holding the world hostage so that Dante can't refuse.
Ethan Turner
If Dante and Vergil do defeat Mundus in DMC6, what do you think will happen in the fight?
>Purrgil is always drawn with pants >it's actually true FUCKING FUJOS NOTHING IS SAFE
Samuel Campbell
>fags use to post Nero's bulge every time he got mentioned >all they do is post ugly tumblr gifs now What happened fagets
Joseph Campbell
Mundus dies.
Austin Collins
Doesn't sound like he enjoyed making nero, he even forgot about the time he did it.
Hunter Carter
Mundus will steal Sparda's remains. Dante will go to kill Mundus. Somehow Dante will lose the DSD or be tricked into stabbing Mundus while he has Sparda's remains Mundus will use the DSD to merge Sparda's remains with himself, giving him the power-up he needs to actually be on the level (or higher) than what Dante and Vergil currently are on. The climax will have Vergil use the Yamato to split the remains from Mundus and the brothers (with Nero) have a Jackpot moment where they all do a combined attack to perma-kill him.
Jackson Harris
I understand their relationship and I know why it caused the fight to happen. I'm not saying that Dante doesn't know that he can't convince Vergil. I'm just saying that his and Vergil's fight to the death to validate their existence and place in life doesn't embody the traditional epic heroic virtues, and that Nero overcoming this mindset and his grudge is closer to that.
I might just be fucking up my words or just being a retard, but I feel like I haven't carried my point across correctly.
Connor Johnson
I hope vergil goes unga and beats the shit out of him with some blood, sweat and tears mixed in there.
Ethan Moore
What kind of car do you think Vergil would drive? Or perhaps he'd go with a bike or something instead Don't say horse
I'm not telling you that Nero wasn't the hero. He is. But Dante is not wrong or un-heroic at any point in the story. Nero is the hero because he is the only one who actually has the power to talk Vergil down. It is literally impossible for Dante to do such a thing, yet you are placing blame on him for "not trying hard enough" or "being a dumb child who just wants to fight his brother over something stupid while the world burns" when this is NEVER EVER the case. There is no point where Dante isn't doing everything in his power to stop the conflict.
See I think the cause of our misunderstanding is a difference in what we mean when we say being the "hero". I'm not saying that Dante is wrong, or that he's the opposite of heroic, but that his actions and mindset doesn't embody those classical heroic virtues. He doesn't overcome the grudge and vendetta and triumph over it all like Nero does.
And that isn't to say that his vendetta and mindset are "wrong", because he is more than justified in acting and thinking the way he does. But Nero, devoid of the context that lead Dante and Vergil to that point, is able to provide a higher perspective and "be the bigger man", so to speak.
Once again I think I have just worded myself very poorly and stumbled over my point, that's my fault.
Also just to add, this isn't a criticism of the narrative or me saying it should have gone differently. This is just me autistically trying (and failing it seems) to explain my thoughts on the characters in the scenario.
I get the feeling Mundus's death would lead to one of the brothers perma-dying, at most surviving as the sword's sentience but being unable to leave it.
Matthew Cox
Should Dante and Vergil get new swords in the next game or do you want them to have what they got already?
Vergil already does his gay twirling with yamato at least.
Jason Cook
>but that his actions and mindset doesn't embody those classical heroic virtues.
But they do. He's fighting to save the planet from a demon invasion. He's doing it at the cost of having to kill his own brother, who he loves, because he knows that is the only way he can stop him and that he is the only being in existence strong enough to actually do it. Even then, there is just as good of a chance that he could die in attempting this. He pushes away his brothers son because he doesn't want to put the burden of having to kill a family member onto anybody else, because he knows how terrible of a burden it is. Nevermind the fact that Nero doesn't stand a chance against someone as powerful as Vergil.
How is this not a heroes mindset or a heroes virtues?
Vergil getting new weapons would be neat after him having nothing but Force Edge and Beowulf since forever, but never replace Yamato.
As for Dante, I say keep the DSD but maybe make some narrative conceit of him "refining" his power so DSD gets more subdued during its base form. Unlike most I actually like its base design, but it could definitely be less chunky
Juan Scott
We know, Yamato.

>You see, Nero...Our state of being exists in a conglomerate.
I think both homosexual and hetero sfm has their share amount of wacky shit, i'm a patreon of those guys (yes it's more than one person and they all have their different ways of handeling renders) so i've seen all the non-silly shit enough to know they're goat af. Some of the renders actually look better than they do in the games.
Michael Evans
Watching Sakaki play V has convinced me I don't have what it takes to ever post any of my gameplay on the internet.

Here is how I would like that to go down, and not as a new game, just as post game DLC:
>Dante and Vergil cut down the tree, at the base is a demon that is essentially holding it up who is supposed to ring in the apocalypse, they stop that >Dante mentions this commotion might be enough to "wake" Mundus seeing as Vergil is supposed to take the throne now >it's at this time that Dante realizes Vergil's memories of slavery and defeat were erased, all he remembers is blacking out and then wandering at near death for the Yamato >Dante debates if killing Mundus is the right decision, what if they lose? What if it triggers Vergil's repressed memories? what if he decides to go after Nero and his loved ones? >they travel through hell a bit (since they're trapped anyway) kill some demons and then the aspect of the "human soul" that's always side stepped in the series comes to play >they live in contained cells and are either tortured or eaten by certain, more powerful demons >Vergil's autism from when he was V flares up and he thinks they might be able to find their mother's soul, Dante asks "What's the point?" it's not like they can bring her back >but Vergil is enthusiastic because he wants to ask her something if it's at all possible >they encounter a witch inhabiting hell that shows them what to do and where to go >they kill more demons and then a bigger demon working for Mundus that was guarding Eva's soul >they talk to her, it's touching but he relays to them that they needs to stay together for the coming trials because their father is still alive
>meanwhile, Nico and Nero are looking for a way to try and summon Dante and Vergil back up from hell >they find some weird altar and collect some shit to get it to work, this can be a dlc in and of itself >it works and they bring them up >Vergil immediately attacks Nero because he owes him a rematch
>DMC6 is the search for Sparda and maybe final showdown with Mundus
>DMC6 is the search for Sparda Can't this franchise move away from Sparda and Mundus already? Sparda doesn't need to be found.
Luis Gray
>Can't this franchise move away from Sparda and Mundus already?
Mundus was relevant for 1 game. What do you mean by this? Sparda I can understand.
Ayden Stewart
Sparda should actually be the real big bad, not Mundus. Because the bros need to usurp the title and not live in his shadow.
Thomas Ortiz
>ywn get to kiss Vergil
I just wanna die.
Owen Brooks
I guess the point I'm fixated on is both Dante and Vergil believing that they need to kill the other to validate themselves, which Nero comes in and says that that's stupid and there are other ways of settling it.
Nero rising above and overcoming this fatalistic mindset is the focal point of my argument. It's the mental triumph over this that makes him the big "hero".
However, in hindsight using the term hero for my point was a mistake because its connotations don't really suit what I'm trying to say after all. Reading your posts, I definitely do not disagree with what you have said, I'm just a retard and can't explain myself properly. Hopefully this post helps clarify my stance but if not, then I'm sorry senpai
Carson James
>anyone dying after their happy reunion No never I refuse.
They're all naturale, baybee. Bee venom doesn't count as botox right
Jordan Cooper
Ok, what's yours? They rush right into a Mundus fight?
Kayden Cook
They don't do anything with that story because it was done with in the first game and he's so below their powerlevels. Let the narrative move on
Logan Hall
Vergil needs to validate himself by defeating Dante. Your belief that Dante needs to defeat Vergil to validate himself comes from a quote from, guess who, Vergil. The idea that the brothers have to fight to the death to decide whose means to power was superior is something that Vergil has convinced himself of.
It's ironic, because if the brothers are even capable of killing each other, I don't think that Vergil ever would have killed Dante. He's never wanted to specifically kill Dante in either game, he just wants to prove beyond a doubt that his pursuit of power was ultimately justified in the end, so he needs to force Dante to be fighting him seriously enough to the point that he is trying to kill him. I truly believe that if he had beaten Dante at the end of 5, decisively, he definitely would not have killed him.
Mundus is still there and he can rise again. If they ignore him he'll harass their descendants in the future. Vergil also at the fruit. He has the right to his throne. Mundus still has his fat ass on it.
Christopher Hall
No, sparda will not appear.
Hunter Martin
Imagine how tight his hole is under that thicc jock ass
Joseph Davis
Last time Mundus got sealed it was for 2000 fucking years. Chances are it's gonna be another 2000. Mundus doesn't have his ass on shit, he's not even in the Underworld. He literally can't do anything
Nathaniel Allen
too much dick sucking
Chase Perez
I was referring to you saying it was retarded, I agree with you, I rather I had a better idea than what that sperg responded with.
Cameron Moore
Vergil shouldn't care about the fruit or ruling hell after what he went through. He just wants his fucking revenge.
Jacob Rodriguez
I meant more that his right to the throne will make him a target
Elijah Morris
Ok what's yours then.
Grayson Baker
It's not hard to write in some kind of power McGuffin or secondary character that restores/improves his power beyond that of what it is.
Eli Morales
What regular enemies would you want to fight in the next DMC Yea Forumsros?
Do we know when that photo was taken? There are other photos of him where he looks younger than he is and they could have been taken when he was in his 20s as well. I'm thinking about the one where he's naked, standing up and looking at his side but you can't see anything below his hips
Kevin Sanchez
I don't think the fruit itself crowns someone as King of the Underworld, just that it gives enough power for whoever eats it to dominate everyone else and declare themselves ruler. The Underworld seems to be a full might = right place after all
Elijah Jenkins
>his hole, so tight, so pink >so untouched, forbidden and heterosexual fuuuuuuuuuuu
I would rather continue where we left off right when Vergil and Dante are fighting and proceed to go into the Qliphoth down further. The two brothers side by side going up against old and new demons, facing greater challenges than they previously have before. I would rather have no Sparda or Eva mentioned in it all the way through. I want to have the bros play off each other well, with them occasionally fighting amongst themselves while most of the time they are working together, I want to have them both defeat Mundus in a grand epic fight and be way tougher than the other enemies, period. Then after that they destroy the Qliphoth tree and go back home.
Photomode is going to be gorgeous with those places
Ian Gonzalez
No Space Harrier bullshit.
Eli Lee
That's way better. A straightforward story for 6 is much better and it allows dante and vergil to be fleshed out more and play off of each others dynamic. Nero would need to be involved for gameplay and vergil related reasons too.
I wonder whose been in charge since mundus got sealed. Would be neat to see if that company agnus worked for is messing things up in hell.
Alexander Hernandez
Well it seems Berial was ruler of the Fire Hell for a while and that role went to Balrog afterwards. Maybe it's all scattered with "kings" is different areas of Hell because none are strong enough to rule everyone and be Emperor like Mundus was.
Chasing the Kylo Ren fangirl audience. For real though he's the spitting image of Fandom Kylo. They're really convinced he's some kind of tragic prettyboy who was abused by Luke then brainwashed for years by Snoke and deep inside he just wants to be protected by mommy and for Hux and Rey to make him their bitch boy.
Oh shit are you mo0nxart? please give us the front view!
Angel Thomas
Aren't his fans rabid fangirls that stalk him and his wife? I heard some crazy stories about it.
Samuel Perry
No it's for the gays except V, he was made for fujos
Wyatt Long
no.
Michael Rodriguez
yes
Adam Price
DMC is for everyone.
Jacob Edwards
V's fans? They can be annoying sometimes but I don't think they stalk his model. Or did you mean Adam Driver's?
Christopher Martin
Most of the time Japanese twink characters are meant to pander to the hetero female audience although they expect some fujos to also latch on. Deliberate pandering is way less common though it does happen like that one Tales game with the two homo twinks.
Brayden Nguyen
Yeah Adam Driver, I remember hearing about that story a while back. I don't know if Owen Hamze has a wife although V fangirls are apparently annoying enough to make him private his account.
Yeah lmao nero lewd pages always spark intense conversations for some reason
Andrew Campbell
>Kyrie is definately a lucky girl to be dicked down by this sexy big massive demon dick kek

>It's so weird to think I used to be divided on Nero when he was first introduced in DMC4, and now here I am wanking to his nudes, and he has quickly become the sexiest game character to me, what is life Best one.
