because Yea Forums is filled with dirty communists

having to buy games on epic literally doubles the chance that I will lose access to my games once these shitty DRM platforms shut down

I don't hate it. Just see no reason to use it. It has less features then steam and no one I know uses Epic

>pc overrun with piracy
>nearly dies
>Gabe says he can beat piracy by offering users a better platform than piracy can offer
>madman actually fucking does it
>pc gaming is saved
>a bunch of other developers follow suit with their own stores
>then, suddenly, out of some toilet comes Tim Sweeney
>takes away everything in the "better platform than piracy"
>then offers a devil's bargain to devs and tries to force people to buy those games from him and only him on his draconic chinese hell hole
>doesn't stop there though
>makes sure to basically call all gamers his enemy and make his store a haven for greedy devs and to shit all over the consumer
>piracy is revived
>the downward spiral starts once again

They do no benefits to the customer and keep pissing them off, not to mention really only kiss ass of large publishers lately. At this rate if Epic does get leverage in the PC market people are going to pirate instead of actually buying shit, doubly so for countries outside the U.S (which Epic raises the prices of) that had a growing number of PC gamers over the years. Sweeney is just doing more damage to the market all the while claiming he's some sort of savior and necessary force, it's ridiculous and short-sighted.

Why do you keep asking the same question?
Do EGS users have dementia?

It offers nothing compared to other storefronts and tries to shit them up at the same time, all under some guise of benevolence.

>game goes epic store exclusive
>have to pay 15% more for it
Sure sucks living in the third world shit hole of Japan

EGS launcher runs better than steam and that's all that better

>Runs better
>Has no features but takes as much power as running steam

They're holding a gun to the head of consumers to use their product. No one wants to be forced to use something.

GOG > Steam botnet > Battle.botnet > other digital PC distributors/botnets > a literal pile of human shit > all those console botnets > Windows 10 botnet > Epic Games botnet

This. When remastered AoE was announced, I was hyped. Then Microsoft made it a Windows store exclusive and I lost all interest. I just play my original copy of AoE with a high resolution mod.

>less features for people who want to buy vidya
>exclusivity bullshit
>basically trying to do embed related to the vidya market youtube.com/watch?v=fDF-S68kx5o
What’s there to like about EGS if you’re the guy trying to play video games?

>Achievements are listed on the roadmap as 6+ months off

>Why do people hate the epic games store so much?
1. Because they buy exclusivity, thereby locking games to a store and client which are currently inferior, not only to Steam but also to GOG Galaxy and other more established clients.
2. Because they are blatantly shilled on Yea Forums (e.g. ). Many of the threads about Epic would be fine if not for the fact that they're posted repeatedly. This annoys people. The hatred of Epic Games is largely a backlash.
3. Because Epic shills are fucking retarded. They call Steam a monopoly despite the fact that the very existence of Epic Games and other stores proves that it isn't, and they lecture everyone about how competition is good for consumers while at the same time they gleefully predict Valve's bankruptcy and celebrate Epic's exclusivity deals.
4. Because Epic shills don't understand that gamers are not game developers. I'm sure the Epic store's 88/12 split does wonders for indie developers whose games are actually good enough to get onto their curated store, but this doesn't benefit consumers directly because the prices are still the same.

I think 30% is too high of a cut for econtent distribution.

>3. Because Epic shills are fucking retarded.
This too. wtf they ruined this board

>less features then steam
>owned buy Tencent
>being dick with buying exclusive
I wonder why. I'll keep my CODEX exclusive.

How about for content distribution and payment processing and server support and the largest install base among the pc-playing public?

>someone saved my shitty edit
