I don't understand this argument in regards to the models. MK9 and X women get called men, yet MK11 models are manly as well but instead of being buff they're all twinks or traps. It's like arguing over different shades of grey nothing really improved it's just a different shade. What deteriorated massively however are the designs, with 9 and most of X it their bodies weren't a huge issue because the designs were so good, SF4 characters have huge hands and feet but you don't care or don't even notice because the designs are good the same can't be said for 11 with far too many looking like a rejected Avengers: Endgame design and the rest being bland and I'd take oversexed or whatever meme shills are using to describe MK9 this week to boring any day.

There's no animation that shows him bending his knees to prep for the jump so it looks like he just floats up into the air. If that's what he's doing they're not selling it in the animation -- in that case, him still reacting when he lands as of gravity is impacting him is odd. It's just a janky animation overall.

It's nowhere near as egregious/funny in MK11 so there's not much to show. There are some janky ones but not many like the MKX Kitana low kick or the Atom ducking "animation."

My main issue in MK11 honestly is Erron. He was bad in MK11 but he looks so plain in MK11 and doesn't move like a gunslinger to me at all. He just looks like a bored dude most of the time. Doesn't sell his character at all.

I wouldn't agree with that. They did a fantastic job with the aged versions of the main characters. Young and Old Johnny is one of my favorite things to look at in this game -- it's incredible how well they represented the same character years apart. The young ones obviously should be smoother and prettier and in prior games, the outfits rarely have wear and tear unless the character is meant to be rough.

Erron should fall into that latter category, even younger him. He should be grizzled and world weary. If they're trying to make it clear that he got more worn out as he got older, then they shouldn't have used him how they did in the story because "a guy who uses guns a lot" isn't that interesting. If he's not the character archetype we wanted yet, he shouldn't be used.

My opinion of this was, nether realms never really had the ability to make hot women ever since the move to 3d. They always find a way to fuck it up. This has never really changed even for MK11. Yes the models are nicer but tamer, more normal but the world remains fantastical. Your females have normal proportions but your males have heroic ones, toned muscles, wide shoulders, etc so it makes the females inferior design-wise.

Yes the models look nicer, but the art direction has actually regressed as to not fully exploit the advancement and this is true for all of them, all while keeping the ugly MK aesthetic. One step forward. Two steps back.

I think most look pretty good, though I think Skarlet, Jade and Kitana are the standouts face wise.
Like in the sense they look like actually people.
Sonya is pretty good but a slight step down I think, Jaquie looks good but I think most of the time she LOOKS like a video game character.
