NEVER
CON-TACT ME IN PUBLIC
NEVER

I'M BEING FOLLOWED
JUST AS I THOUGHT
JUUUST ASSSS I THOUUUGHT

RUNNNN AWAYYYY

This shit disturbed me. It was like some sentient AI was following me around the city

HAVE YOU SEEN ARLONG CHRISTOF?

Oblivion's NPCs ranged from a bit autistic to outright insane, both in their backstories and in their A.I behavior. Something that morrowind & skyrim miss out on.

It was oddly comfy.

I'LL PAY YOU WELL I'LL PAY YOU WELL

Was this the single most used line in Oblivion parodies or what

Was he right about the whole conspiracy stuff?

Near the city of Chorrol.

And if you told him that he really was being followed he fucking snaps and goes to grab an axe from his house, then proceeds to run around the city and break into houses of his suspects. And it's entirely random. If he manages to not be detected by the guards on time he might even kill some of the suspects.

he only does that if you don't take matters into your own hands iirc.

Pic related is my favorite oblivion NPC. She had a low responsibility setting in her A.I, meaning she could commit crime such as pick-pocketing other NPCs for food, or stealing from around her. She was shit though and would end up dead in Bravil in nearly every playthrough because she'd get caught in brod daylight trying to pickpocket another NPC and the guards annihilate her.

>he only does that if you don't take matters into your own hands
If you tell him that none of those people are following him he goes "A-ha! You're one of them too!" and tries to kill you. You only need to walk away and the guards will swarm him and kill him. But if you feed into his delusions and say that they're all following him he'll snap and go to eliminate them. I forgot what happens if you tell him that only some are following him. He'll probably go to kill the ones you said are following him while not chasing the others.

>I forgot what happens if you tell him that only some are following him.
He tells you he will pay you money if you kill them, you can kill them and later show the note to the guards too

this is what i meant by take matters into your own hands, theres an option for the player to do it. if you don't thats when he goes turbo autist axe man

I didn't remember that. But I do remember having the option to report him to the guards. Man I fucking love Oblivion.

Anyone else enjoyed joining the fighters guild, then attack a guard and flee into one of the guild houses. Then proceed to watch as the guild members started attacking the guards?

>dark brotherhood
>First quest has you loosen a fixture in an attic to kill someone and make it look like an accident
>Get a key to a house to kill everyone inside
I WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE THIS GUILD QUESTLINE FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAIN AND IT HURTS

If it makes you feel better, I've never EVER even started the oblivion mages questline.

Holy fuck this whole questline.
