Why don't I see any discussion on this game now that it went F2P? Its honestly one of the most improved MMOs in recent memory, I have trouble finding things to nitpick here. It ticks nearly every single box of a sandbox mmo, while still having some themepark elements to please that crowd(Dungeons).

Isnt it the case that few guilds are controlling whole server economy and the rest is fucked?

There are a few monopolies in the world, but the idea that everything is fucked is pretty overblown, the market is doing fine and you wouldn't notice that anything is going on if there really is anything going on.

They recently made it so that plot bids are going to be private, meaning that a single rich person will have to drop ungodly amounts of money into a city to buy every single plot to create a monopoly on crafting in that city.

I was interested in this awhile back, will give it a try after work if it's F2P now. How's the payment model now that's it's F2P? I'm having flashbacks to Archeage but I doubt it will be that bad

It sounds cool on paper but when I look at gameplay it's a big turn off, the art style just looks like shit to me

Lost me at MMO

It essentially has a sub free of $9.95 a month. Other than the premium there is literally nothing else in the cash shop, all you can do is buy gold to trade into silver, which is basically a copy paste of the gem system from GW2.
You can buy premium with silver as well, having just started playing it a couple weeks ago we had multiple people grind up the required silver to nab premium within a week.
The art style is shit, but for the scale at which things take place(upwards of 300 people taking part in a fight at a time) the graphics are in the right spot. Gameplay wise its like playing league, a mix between tab target and "action"

started with friends, we played for a few days, made our first t4 gear, then we just suddenly stopped because it felt like there is no goal, we would just wander around, level up gathering skills and stockpile resourses with no incentives
i can see some people find it relaxing in a way,
its just not my thing

I was looking into this game because it sounded fun, but all I heard from people was p2w p2w p2w so I never bothered. I doubt that isn't the case if it went f2p...

Except that it's a slugfest until you manage to make enough gold to buy their premium bullshit.

Its $10, and like I said earlier its basically a sub fee to have a game with no real cash shop to speak of. There are no cosmetic options or anything, their cash shop consists of premium for $10 and NOTHING else.

With how disposable gear is and how you can take on people multiple gear levels above you without problems the idea of selling gold to gain silver to gain a significant advantage is pretty laughable.

Probably, I'm just kinda really surprised at how much fun I've been having with it and looking at the numbers on steam it was interesting to see that there wasn't any discussion on it for weeks.

Because its made by a bunch of lying hacks who said the game would be F2P at launch with zero P2W options. Then they announced a month before launch it was not going to be F2P and they were releasing a P2W shop were you can buy both currency and faster progression.

Throw in the cupcake of them fucking up every single part of their PvP areas and turning the ENTIRE game into nothing but a zergfest and you get a really shitty wanna-be EvE clone with some RS elements which was dead on launch.
