started tes series with skyrim which i loved and still love, after that i got curious and played oblivion which i loved it, now im playing morrowind with just some bugfix/graphical mods and i must say. fuck that nord piece of shit that oneshotted me after asking me 100 gold that i didn't have, hand to hand combat is great, and fuck mixing potion failed.
btw why they didn't make the same alchemy system for skyrim, being able to brew potions where the fuck i want is great

This is a really stupid question, but still curious. On my computer, Skyrim actually runs way better than Morrowind or oblivion. Skyrim is very smooth while the other two games have annoying micro stutter all the time. Is that just because Skyrim is better optimized than the other games?

This game still has really good production values for being so old. When I play with headphones I feel really immersed in the harsh landscape, they did a good job with the wind and snow sounds. You really feel the texture of the world

Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 were good as soon as you leave the tutorial dungeon. The lack of a proper skills and class system really fucked up these games.

Being static isn’t a problem, it’s meant to feel more like a d&d game. I personally like the static nature. It makes it easier to imagine things going on in the world instead of having to be awkwardly shown NPCs having unnatural schedules
