I NEVER encountered this sort of thing back when the first game came out and I was in the community. Furfaggotry wasn't a thing yet, only in Sonic communities with SAB2 and Sonic Mega Collection on GC. And even then, yeah sure, you had a villager that people wanted to fuck later on with WW, CF, as the games went on, but Isabelle just sort of concentrates that furfaggotry in one fine point and makes it the sole focus of anything.

Animal Crossing furfaggotry has been a thing forever. One of the biggest drawfags on Yea Forums in like 2005-2008 was an big Animal Crossing fag who kept saying AC should get dating/relationships. Any time anyone would discuss Animal Crossing the number 1 topic was always if it should get dating and romance.

The AC fanbase hit the shitters around 2014 when New Leaf brought in thousands of newcomers with a much different perception of the franchise than those who played earlier games.
