Fire Emblem is unironically better than ever before.
Fire Emblem is unironically better than ever before
This is true but good luck having an FE thread without bitching Smashfags pretending they play FE and people that played one GBA game when they were 10.
its true in some ways and not true in others.
conquest is the gameplay high of the series thus far, but it's probably fair to say that fire emblem peaked in a worldbuilding/character sense at fe4/5. in terms of raw presentation, shadows of valentia of course takes the crown here. the game has great art and soundtrack. but shadows of valentia is marred by its own problems.
the problem for the upcoming fire emblem is that it doesn't have a stunning art style nor does it seem to have a new gameplay mechanic as interesting as pair up (yes i concede it is broken in awakening but it is great in fe14). for three houses, the game just looks sort of blase.
why couldn't I ship basilio and falvia game? WHY?
Yeah, the artstyle for the upcoming games is a downgrade. Am I the only one who liked Kozaki's artstyle the most?
I think so, but it does have big issues still present.
Regardless I still clocked 300 hours total on Fates SE and loved Shadows of Valentia. My favorite is still RD but the future looks bright outside of the cold, dead eyes of the 3H characters. I'm looking forward to it.
You certainly aren't given how immensely popular he is, but I feel like he did a better job on Fates art than FEA and his best one was Eir's neutral and the Book 3 promo art for FEH.
Wasted Opportunities
Tellius will always remain my favorite games, but I don't begrudge people who like the newer entries.
2 more days until the expo
This. Is there anywhere to discuss fe anymore? /feg/ only talks about gachashit and r/fireemblem is just "eeeww fanservice eeeewww"
