I think Mytra has a standalone purpose. She can be a bit surly at times but she's still a sweet woman at heart. Your classic tsun-tsun. Pyra is basically her motherly instincts and her desire to nuture the people she cares for personified. I do enjoy the concept of them simply sharing a body but the ending separating them showed that they had developed enough individually to exist apart. Monolith said around the time Torna came out that Pyra was the most popular character in Japan but he couldn't comment on the rest of the world. I wonder if that's true for the rest of the world. Find out how to get Corvin, one of the DLC blades. Once you get him, put him on Morag or Zeke and try to max out his chart (it doesn't take long, I put on some podcasts and knocked it out in a night). Give the driver enough equipment to make their agility so high they basically can't be hit while using Corvin. Then play as them and do the Elma fight. You can play it on Easy and still get her if it's too hard. But doing it like this you shouldn't have any issue. Corvin can carry a lot of challenges. Also make sure Rex is using Shulk and Mythra if you can. Shulk will help you guys live even longer.

I switched Rex out of my party as soon as I could, I'm like 20 hours in and having an okay time. It makes a little more sense if you take her backstory into account. Pyra was created because Mythra couldn't handle what she'd done, and hated herself for it. Pyra represents everything that Mythra wanted to be but couldn't.
Notice how Pyra is the brave one? Every time she gets in trouble, Pyra is the one that handles it, that faces the danger. Mythra is brash and outspoken, but vulnerable. Pyra is braver and more calm.
By the end of the game, Mythra is much more similar to Pyra. She's grown, she's who she wants to be, etc.

Whenever someone says something bad about Xenocringe, a nintendies mind goes into a state known "Eric projection".
In this state, any and all criticisms of Nintendo are pinned to a man known as Eric.
