This movie is about Robotnik trying to capture Sonic to harness his ability.
Sonic is trying to save the world by containing the chaos emeralds.
Due to this, Dr. Robotnik learns of the power of the chaos emeralds and vows to control them.
The final scene in the first movie will be him coming to that realization.

I hate Jim Carrey's on screen personas, but I'll be honest, he's probably going to be the only decent thing about this movie. If he isn't, then it will be the first time Robotnik hasn't been the best part of a sonic adaption.

The director came out saying they will redesign him. Hopefully, they fucking add the proper shit to him.

look at you can already guess the plot. this movies gonna take place in our world for whatever reason. by the end of the movie sonics going back to his home world, mobius or whatever they'll call it, and robotnik will get all fucked up and also transported back there. and because he's a crazy evil genius with very little government to contest with, he's gonna start fucking shit up.
