Zombies can be very taxing on mental health
Zombies can be very taxing on mental health
i remember getting this game when it first came out, it was on some weird launcher that i cant remember
is it even good now, considering that was like 5 years ago. shit was just too much of a grind
>tfw your IQ is too low to understand a game like Project Zomboid
BASED
Pleb filtered. Too much of a grind? Go back to playing Honey Select you incel fuck.
i want to like the game but it has so little to do once you get established it becomes boring.
wow rude
I have been waiting for fucking years for them to add AI survivors to this game. The foundation is amazing but I want to do more than build empty impenetrable bases.
I thought there used to be AI Survivors
Was that in the builds before the game's code was "stolen"?
Honestly, isn't that one of the horrors of a zombie apocolypse? It doesnt really work for a game, which is about enjoyment, but survival would literally be geting established, safe, and then keeping to yourself and trying to pass the empty time without going insane.
How many days have you survived
This is just a worse Cataclysm DDA
Nothing changed.
Last time I played, which was about 3 months ago, there was no A.I survivors in the vanilla game. There were ambient events like random gunshots and screaming off-screen to emulate a "lived-in" feel but it's all kinda lame.
Mods add A.I survivors, some of which are recruitable.
Imagine being this mad all because of some forgettable, generic, indie trash game.
So I guess it was in the previous builds
There used to be AI Survivors (albeit very basic) who would be stationed in different places
Some were hostile and would shoot you if you got too close to them and didn't back off and others would follow you
Don't know why it wasn't one of their priorities when rebuilding the game
ikr?
Grinding is maximum brainlet.
>Can't figure out a problem with brain. I'll just get so strong so I don't have to use brain!
They just added weather to the game, expect survivors in 2020
God, why are they such an incompetent devs?
I totally love the concept of game(real-time cdda), but they don’t update any shit
Any game with the word project in it has slow devs
How about an end goal? Like trying to get to some research lab or get revenge on someone. You first establish yourself so you have a safe house, then you can expand to an FoB where you set out on missions, then some game changer happens like a new mutation or the zombies become more rabid over time. The different zones have steadily increasing difficulty in monster levels/variety, there could be bandit/slaver factions who prey on survivors, you could find and rescue/recruit npcs, and if you're really savvy you include animated sprite sex and put it on patreon for thousands a month
Holy shit is this game even out yet? I remember the beta like 10 years ago
Probably has the same problem as Cata DDA
Unless they are harmless, static objects they will be far more deadly than any mall horde
>play for 300 hours on one save
>turn a corner and get shot to death instantly by a hostile npc with a shotgun
The problem with legit story end goals in sandbox games like this is that it forces you down a linear path. Rimworld for instance. Its "end goal" fucking sucks dick. Its literally just build a ship, watch credits roll.
Mods somewhat fix it but its just a bad thing for open world games imo
>Cata DDA
>Turn corner, OHKO by turret
Cata also has the problem of certain late game areas basically requiring cheat characters
it can be somewhat mitigated by being very cautious but yeah this is why I save scum
Really wish cata had more stuff to do. The most fun I have is the first few days, once I start getting mutations and implants its pretty much not fun anymore
user i too bought it on desura
sadly it went belly up, we can never play again
NPCS
NEVER
EVER
YOU FUCKING SCAMMERS
you know they gave out steam keys for free to people who bought it there right
I don't know military bases and some lab sections fucked me and I was being 90% cautious (100% is pushing a cabinet at all times)
I can't recall, can you look around corners in cata? something like that should really be in the game if its not
I think you can but some random layouts force you through the turret rooms
The biggest threat is when you find yourself a little bit comfortable and start getting sloppy. It's usually when you wind up dead.
You should make a forum post see if you can find your old desu email when you got it. They are pretty nice folks and might help you out.
Game has vehicles now and it's becoming quite a bit more refined. The biggest thing has been them redoing models.
I would 100% rather this game be similar to SS13. In fact, I'd rather they just make SS13 in this engine. It has basically all the same features, but it's much much better. Just make it a spooky mountain town with weird happenings and it will be 1000 times better
sure
