I think he's likable particularly because of how good the VA is, but the character is damaged, suicidal, and morally grey. He learns to become a good person over the course of the game which I assume no critic experienced

Tbh I'm fed up with seeing corporations still pandering to white trash in 2019. Granted, some of them can afford games on their fuel-truck-operator or street-maintenance-worker salaries. And there probably isnt much else to do in flyover country. Dirt-biking, burning some crosses. You can certainly imagine why there'd be a market for a game like Days Gone. These people know from personal experience what it's like to spend your days surrounded by braindead zombi- sorry freakers. Even so, isnt it a bit too tasteless to bring smelly trash out into public? not him, but gameplay loop is a synonym for the game loop which is the technical side of the game where the console performs the games logic
since the guy is reviewing the game, I assume that he meant to use it meaning the routine in which you play the game, which as far as I know doesn't have a term and the closest one to it is just gameplay
