I think you'd be into Transistor.
2/2 (BiS, SCIV); Dishonored was recommended to me last thread, I think I'll like it when I get around to it. You might like Mark of the Ninja.
1/1 (MGS); never got into Touhou because bullet hells aren't my kind of shmup but I went on a nosalgia trip of listening to UN Owen Was Her? YTPMVs from a decade ago the other day. I mention that because I don't really know what to recommend you.
3.5/4 (+Sly 2 +Odyssey +BamHam City ~GTAV); I enjoyed inFamous 1 a good amount, although Prototype's movement and powers make it my preferred PS3 superhero game from that era. I'd recommend it if you haven't played it. Very satisfying to run around in that game.
4/4 (God Hand, Gen 3, MGS, Minish Cap); can't really think of a recommendation based on this list but you seem cool based on it.
1/1 (DMC5); I'd say try Transformers Devastation (you'll need to either find a used copy or pirate) since I know you like Bayonetta and I see Borderlands 2 there. It's like Bayo 1 with tweaked controls, new mechanics, guns with TPS mechanics attached, and weapon looting/upgrading with various weapon types, passives you can pass between weapons when feeding one to the other, elements, etc. Plus 5 unique characters with unique stats and abilities. I never realized how similar it was to Borderlands until now actually; mostly Bayo with elements of Borderlands, Vanquish, and Revengeance.
Ever play Vanquish or John Woo's Stranglehold?
I wish Ace Attorney appealed to me more. I think the characters and music are great from an outside perspective but the gameplay doesn't seem like something that would interest me. I also think just watching it be played would cheapen the experience, so I just haven't played them.
Not really looking for recs but if anyone has anything I'll gladly hear it
4/4 SotN, CT, Dishonored, Bloodborne
Have you tried any SMT games? You seem to like games with a darker aesthetic
3/4 +MH World, DaS, RE4 -Nier Automata
Try Vanquish
5/6 +Sly 2, inFamous 2, Mario Odyssey, Arkham City, Bioshock Infinite -GTA V
You're brave to put Bioshock Infinite on here. I liked it when it released but I should probably replay it to see if my perspective has shifted. Try Ratchet and Clank assuming you haven't already.
2/3 +Sapphire, Minish Cap -Fallout NV
Try Danganronpa
2/2 SMT Strange Journey, SH3
Not him but I only just got into visual novels myself. You definitely need to be in the right frame of mind to play them.
>Ever play Vanquish or John Woo's Stranglehold?
Loved Vanquish but barely heard of Strangehold. Into the backlog it goes!
I mean, don't knock it till you try it.
The game is honestly really good and if you haven't been spoiled on the story, then go for it. The games are honestly great and are fun little puzzles with good gameplay for a VN.
Alright peasants let's see how your tastes stack up.
Decent list dishonored and axelay feel out of place as pretty good games but all have superior competitors. I'll give a pass to goemon because I can't really say there is another game that can do what it does better. And inside over superstar saga? I mean its no color splash but I'm not convinced.
Yea Forums core as hell but i can't really say any single game doesn't belong on a 3x3
Bruh. Bioshock infinite? Infamous 2? Odyssey AND gta V? Such a basic ass list.
OP is the best first person shooter of all time? Eh, not seeing it, otherwise perfect list.
You thought you could balance out your weeb list with a cag and loot shoot? Borderlands 2 is such a dreary game and the writing just has not held up.
absolutely Yea Forums core. But all those picks are unqiue enough besides the smt double dip that I can't say it's not a cohesive 3x3. Good grid
anything beyond 3x3s are for cowards, almost as cowardly as putting dmc3 and 5 on the same 3x3. Might as well put up nocturne and powerstone and make the real itsuno meme 3x3
mwah Perfection in Grid Form. Fantastic genre and generation rep, but bold enough to put some wild but undeniable picks like jak and ultimate. Truly a list of great games.
>anything beyond 3x3s are for cowards
That's why I make sure to highlight the 3x3 itself in the middle. The outer layer was just an experiment because I was curious what I would put there, and I've stuck with it.
DMC5 didn't replace 3SE because I couldn't in good conscience call it better. I'll likely remove one eventually but for now it's there to show that I think they're equal (I'mg going to try and play a bunch of new things over the Summer that will spice my chart up I'm sure). For the record, if I wanted a full Itsuno meme 3x3 I'd have Project Justice, Auto Modellista, Star Gladiator, and One Piece Mansion on it alongside DMC3/DMC4/DMC5/CvS2/DDDA.
>Perfection in Grid Form
Appreciated
Sorry bros I'm way too tired to rate you all this time.
>God Hand
>Fallout NV
>MGS
You don't actually consider these your favorites. You're just trying to fit in with the rest of the NPCs.
If I had ONE suggestion it'd be to pick between OOT and MM. I know it hurts but it'll leave a nice open spot for something other than tetris to rep the 4th gen.
Lotta action games, maybe put your feet in a good cag? Install some suplex mods on new vegas maybe even play around with the combat mechanics of divinity OS. It'd flesh out the grid alot.
>You don't actually consider these your favorites. You're just trying to fit in with the rest of the NPCs.
You didn't actually post that. You're just trying to fit in with the rest of the NPCs.
Do people generally put purely nostalgic games on their 3x3 that they haven't played in years?
2/5
Tetris and SotC are cool
Zelda and Smush suck though
(forgot mine)
>windwaker
o.oh well you know it had it's own style you can overlook the poor design decisions if you
>WE LOVE FROM SOFT WE LOVE FROM SOFT WE LOVE FROM SOFT
blech
>shadow of grind
Why, you have to know that game is just a thinly veiled skinnerbox, look I'd accept BOTW but the LOOT box version of shadow of war? And tenkaichi and undertale are whatever picks, not strong but I can't hate them. Stones is the last great classic FE fantastic pick and Shovel knight needs to stay.
Fantastic list honestly have nothing bad to say about any of it. Little 30 yr old boomer generation wise but all those games are varied and great that I don't know where I would even put a super metriod. Fantastic list
yes and those people have sub par lists
>If I had ONE suggestion it'd be to pick between OOT and MM
I've really thought about it a lot but there's just nothing else that I can think of that could adequately fill that hole for me
Why does Zelda suck?
>>WE LOVE FROM SOFT WE LOVE FROM SOFT WE LOVE FROM SOFT
Yeah I like video games. Stick to your movies.
>>shadow of grind
>Why, you have to know that game is just a thinly veiled skinnerbox, look I'd accept BOTW but the LOOT box version of shadow of war?
The fuck are you on about?
I like to think of my 3x3 as games that mean something to me over really good games that I think are the best. Childhood games mean a lot to me and I think they deserve a spot even if they're lackluster.
I thought that's what everyone thinks when they make a 3x3?
The 3d mainline titles outside of botw are shallow and easy. botw isnt super hard but it at least has the physics and chemistry system which offers fun experimentation. and the dungeons are better than most other 3d zelda dungeons
>shallow and easy
Easy? Yes. Shallow? You might have to elaborate.
Maybe a metroidvania or arcade classic. Even a decent fps would round out the grid. Every good list could use a cag.
lootbox version of shadow of mordor I meant. It's just such a 7 out of ten and doesn't really belong with the other CLASSICS. And sekiro being here so soon is just in bad taste especially lined up with 2 games in the same style. You can have an action focused 3x3 but to put a third of it behind one design philosophy just looks bad.
Eh bit of a point, alot of OOT is go here get tool use tool beat boss repeat. The combat depth is lacking and has always been a drawback from other action adventure games.
Sure, but the combat is at least functional and mostly satisfying. After all, it's an action adventure title, not just an action title. The gameplay has to account for more than just combat encounters.
>lootbox version of shadow of mordor I meant.
What are you on about?
>And sekiro being here so soon is just in bad taste
Let me guess, you didn't play the game or didn't get past Chained Ogre? Anyway don't even bother replying, I'm going to bed.

Forgive my pleb status but I don't know what the acronym you posted means. I've touched Divinity Dragon Commander and thought it was alright. Fallout never seemed my speed, but I admit the only one I played was 3 when it was new and I was less discerning in my purchases.
I mainly aim to play some games that have elements of my favorites in different genres. I think my best bets for Stealth are Blood Money/Dishonored/Mark of the Ninja/Sheep Raider, FPS Titanfall 2 (and Dishonored I guess since it's the First-Person part I'm trying to acclimate to), and RPGs TWEWY/Live A Live/Summon Night. I want to play Aztez as well, which might be a gateway into turn-based strategy, even though the draw for me is its insanely deep 2D combat system. I'm going to chip away at all those when I have time, on top of some stuff in my current wheelhouses I'm excited for (SamSho & My Friend Pedro will probably eat up my June).
the combat of ocarina is mostly combat and dungoens. water temple is the only good dungeon, the rest are only challenging for toddlers. combat is mindless too. so wheres the good gameplay?
You're acting as if a lower difficulty equates to the game being bad. The dungeons are all unique and well designed with their own gimmicks and twists, even if they're not particularly hard. And again, the combat is functional. It's certainly not bad in any way. Hell, for an adventure game of the 90's it holds up damn well in that regard.
But I will reply because people must know how overated sekiro is. Being restricted to a single weapon and single tactic with the ILLUSION of choice does not make a superior combat system. This sort of difficulty can be addictive but is ultimately shallow, the depth doesn't go far beyond the difficulty of rhythm heaven with no room for self expression in how to approach a fight. Slap slap parry slap slap parry slap. Sure it felt good to beat madam butterfly but there are so many fights that play like her and replaying her fight won't hold up over time. Now undying hatred and gurdian apes are one of the best soulslike bosses but they drown in a sea of 1v1 slap slap parry slap fights. The minibosses haven't a lack of uniqueness really hurt the game overall but not as much as the linear design compared to every other souls like. I understand the game wants me to deal with its challenge head on and not have any shortcuts but doing that by limiting approaches and routes will in my opinion will make people sour on the game over time when the YAY I FINALLY BEAT IT rush wears off.
I meant a good CRPG you have so many character action games that it gave me a bit of a brain shuffle. Titanfall 2 is a great pick for any 3x3, one of the best single player campaigns in fps.
not "lower difficulty" necessarily but when the entire game is completely mindless except for one dungeon, yeah the game sucks. it's functional, the game doesnt crash or feel horrible. but theres only one temple that offers any challenge or satisfaction. the rest is just wasting time
>but when the entire game is completely mindless except for one dungeon
It's not. The first three are pretty much straight shots forward but from the Forest Temple onwards they start getting less linear.
I'm definitely aware of the narrow scope. I'm a cheap bastard so I rarely take risks on game purchases and usually wait for sales. Even on games I'd think are slam dunks I look at a good amount of gameplay and opinions. I only get a lot of games at once if there's a big sale or I'm trading in games I'm never going to play for them.
I think I can trace back my current buying behavior to getting burned on pre-ordering Street Fighter X Tekken. I had gotten real into Capcom fighting games at that time and I grew up with Tekken. I basically got memed on.
Now this is a list, little heavy on the RPG side but thats fine because they are all amazing. And the action rpg and crash really helps balance it out. And those rpgs are so varied, kotor p4 NV and ff8 and g/s are all so varied in design that it gives a nice balance of what is the top of their sub genres and philosophies. Great list don't even think about taking that crash off.
the most linear dungeon in the game is fire temple, and that's after forest. spirit temple is kinda neat because you have to go back in two different timelines but again none of them offer much challenge at all. the combat is functional but a two year old could do it. the puzzles are usually just "apply new item to every scenario"
I use Crash as my online avatar for everything. I will never ever take it off, unless the CTR remake somehow tops it.
CRPGs are real cheap, gog has bunch of them. Arcanum is pretty great. Kotor is on sale. And if you liked divinity you got orginal sin 2 which has realistic chemistry mechanics before botw did it AND the writing is faaaantastic
coward list you can get rid of 7 easy
I like more than 9 video games.
CHOOSE COWARD. CURATE 9 GAMES TO BE THE DEFINING PIECES OF INTERACTIVE MEDIUM THAT DEFINES WHAT YOU VALUE. YOU CAN ONLY FIT 9 GAMES IN THE VOYAGER GOLDEN VIRTUA BOY. DON'T LET THE ALIENS THINK OUR VIDYA SUCKS.
based boomer
I'd say thats a classy ass list but you put in a multi stand alone game collection. Don't be a coward who puts in those kinds of collections. Your choice of best mgs game says alot about you don't cheat yourself of that.
Half-pleb, but still mostly good picks.
You still have Pokemon and Minish Cap after all these years, I'm sad that you still haven't fully matured yet.
Almost all pleb shit. You're a massive weaboo and a pleb, but you've at least got partially good taste.
Having more than one game from a franchise always looks stupid, but you have some excellent picks on there and a great balance between western and eastern games (which is a rare and always good thing to see).
Weaboo as fuck, but your love for video games is honest, so you're alright. It helps that you have Wario Land 2, that's some patrician stuff right there.
Your list is too generic so I don't know what to recommend. You also look like you're underage.
Probably a guy from the nineties who grew up with a PS1. Extremely generic picks but most of them are good, although I don't know how someone can love FF8 that much other than having massive nostalgia for it.
>guy from the nineties
Yep
>FF8 nostalgia
Yeah. I didn't speak English when I played 7 so I couldn't get into it. 8 was my first real FF and I loved it.
Honestly the only reason d2 has stayed on here is because of MedixanXL's recent update. Could probably replace it with Outward as my current shtick. Suikoden II is also near and dear to my heart
Pretty solid list.
with the exception of smash and persona 5 which are the latest in older franchises the newest game in came out NINE years ago. Most certainly not underage.
I have to respect the balls of someone who puts sega bass fishing right next to a defiant altered beast. Based list.

Forgot to post mine, although not all 9 are staples so my mosaic changes often.
Have you tried any other JRPGs?
It's not about the year the games came out, it's about which demographic tends to love them that much that it thinks it's top 10 material. Although it's such a generic list that you can say that nothing's certain.
>Wind Waker
For what purpose.
Also I dislike seeing GTA in any mosaics, same goes for the Shitsona games.
Gotta give some love to someone who puts yakky zero on their 3x3 in the face of being called fake. Great list almost all tops of their genre.
I mean Persona 4 is in my list. But yeah I've played tons of JRPGs. Usually there's some story element that diminishes the game for me. Though I've never played stuff like Chrono Trigger or FF6
WATCH YOUR TONE WITH ME, BOY
>like Chrono Trigger or FF6
You should get to it, then, they're pretty big classics and both worth playing.
I should. I've just been playing other stuff and I do older games from time to time. Recently played SMT Nocturne and now I'm spending time on MHW. I might do them relatively soon though.
>SMT Nocture and MHW
Great picks, although I value singleplayer experiences way more than multiplayer ones, so I don't find MHW as appealing.
>screams generic
>puts up thief souls deus ex and fallout all together
Don't think making me boot up bonusroom.mp3 again will make me not laugh at how generic your list is. That being said all these games are pretty great divine divinity is pretty dated, if I'm getting arthritis for something it should be at least as timeless as diablo 2

They're god tier games and there's no shame in having them on a mosaic, I was going for genuine taste, not trying to be as hipster as possible, and I'd say that even after many years of playing you're bound to have at least some favorites that are really popular games.
>divine divinity is pretty dated
Not at all.
>as timeless as diablo 2
Divine Divinity is superior to Diablo 2 because it has way better worldbuilding and the writing is of a much higher quality. The merits of Diablo 2 lie in its popularization of the ARPG gameplay and how fun the multiplayer is, but it's not as good as a game as Divine Divinity.
>in a weekend
That's stretching it, unless his sessions are really long.
