R has a lot of bullshit, you'd think it was an arcade game with how brutal it gets. Especially the pre-patched AI during the 1v1 bomber fights where the fuckers read your inputs or something and could avoid your explosion hitboxes by a goddamn pixel. It's still a fun game and I appreciate all the content it got over time before the PC and non-Switch ports.

Totally agree. Jetters is also my favorite cartoon/anime based on a video game (Kirby is my second favorite). I rewatch it once every summer.
Fuck this boss and fuck most of the bosses of this game. The only manageable ones were the first and third world bosses. I remember elegant dream took me 25 minutes to beat the first try. Awkward hit boxes, ice bullshit, and her moving around too much. Still enjoy the game though.

Yeah. This and Jetters are my only experience with the 3D Bomberman games (never played the 64 games). Pretty good game (especially the multiplayer) but with some kind of hard parts.

20 years ago.
Live in a student home, together with 3 friends, and 4 friends in the house next door. One guy has SNES, I have Bomberman 2 plus a multitap.
Friends come over, it's a saturday night, we live in Amsterdam, preparing to go out. 8PM
Someone suggests we play before we go while having a beer.
We rotate the losers out, and keep thinking, one more game before we go.
Suddenly, the sun comes up, it's sunday morning.
We keep playing till about 10 AM.
