The Switch is NOT getting worthwhile Third Party support. Getting old ass ports like ancient FF games (and they're way too expensive for such old games) is better than nothing, but still isn't impressive. Even now the only reason to get a Switch is the first party games.

If anything it'll get even more third party support when the ps5 launches since it's an already existing console with proven popularity making it a no brainer to make games on while making things for the new ps5 would be a gamble.

Splatoon *is* the multiplayer like tf2 or league.
It does have the single player mode it comes with, but you could consider it more like a long tutorial and is absolutely not worth buying the game for.

The octo expansion is good, but it's dlc and still not what you buy splatoon for.
It also assumes you have some time played and have some real experience.
Trust me, you're not getting through Girl Power with determination alone.
