little things can lead to greater things. I was a neet borderline hikikomori for almost a year. wash yourself at the same time every day, try and get up at a reasonable time, go for a walk every day. I find it difficult to talk about because my lifeline was a friend telling me that there was a vacancy where he worked so I got a job there. getting a job is probably one of the best things you can do in that situation because it does a few things:
-you have money
-it takes your mind of things
-you have less time during the day, which means you value your free time more
-you meet new people, and can gain some new skills, good confidence boost if you put the effort in
you won't find answers to big questions like 'what is my purpose in life' because your purpose is fluid and will change with time and far too many other factors.
iget a lot out of reading stuff but that might not work for you
