Do you guys ever get video game fatigue or just from entertainment in general

I did when Yea Forums was the only board I browsed every day
it got better since I stopped caring about video game news so much and picked up other hobbies

OOPS, it seems you started a thread with a worn out edit of an old meme. I would've given your thread a proper response, but you ruined it from the start with that. Better luck next time!

No, I have sex with women.

this to be desu
but it doesn't cure the fatigue, it just gives you shit to do when you don't feel like video games

What's that like

Can the women be substituted?

Yes. With cute boys

Nofap.

what do you do when you immediately get fatigued with your hobbies too

I don't know, there's always something to do.
I live close to the woods. I enjoy going for long walks in areas without paths n shit, and am thinking of picking up nature photography.
Consider seeing a psychiatrist if you often get fatigued of everything, and don't feel the drive to try anything new. Doesn't sound healthy.

I saw a therapist and a psychiatrist and got diagnosed with anxiety/depression but the talking didn't help and the 5-6 different meds I tried had no effect. guess I'm just screwed

based

How's that overwhelming rage?

Look up ECT treatment

Also vydia and entertainment in general is repetitive as hell. You will get bored of going through the motions eventually.

I don't really trust going to the doctor anymore. so far they just waste my time and don't listen to what I have to say anyways. my roommate is getting shrooms sometime and I'm hoping they do something

if you're actually diagnosed, I can't really empathize.
I'm sure you've been told to exercise, if you've only gone to gyms, I would suggest doing it outdoors. I personally dislike gyms and treadmills, but running in the nature is cool.

>using psychedelics as self-medication
Bad idea

I do run but I've never felt that "runner's high" I hear about. I don't really know what exercise is supposed to do for me but I don't think it affects me either
actual medication hasn't worked though

>I've never felt that "runner's high" I hear about
me neither. that supposedly only kicks in when you've run very far, like pushing the limits of your body far. I think exercise just makes me feel better in general.

my shitty laptop can only play WoW
it got really boring really fast
I tried to level character after character trying to get some diversity or excitement
I've seen the same starting zone so many time I think I have brain damage

no desu

No wonder, WoW is boring as shit and has malicious intentions behind it. Consider yourself lucky for not being susceptible to their scummy manipulation tactics.

The "runner's high" really only happens I guess after you've progressed to a certain point. When I was training to enlist in the Army, and while I was in the Army, I always felt amazing and euphoric after a run. A year after I ETS'd, I gained like 40 pounds and running is now a difficult chore. It doesn't even feel good after I'm finished. I'm willing to bet it has to do with the conditioning of the muscles, because it's largely just taxing to unconditoned muscles/tissue.

wo(men) more like, faggot

No, but I get real life fatigue, which is why I play games to get away from that boring shit.

It's about being out of oxygen
Same reason people choke themselves while masturbating

no, but i sure miss when videogames were exciting to talk about and their only marketing is how fun or gory the game was instead of how it pushes a narrative or how problematic it is because some specific person is working on it

I think I should stop smoking

Sometimes and I browse game stores thinking some new shiny game is gonna fix it but of course thats not true and i should just do somehting else for a while.

>validating yourself via female approval
cucked and pathetic, what a shallow existence.

Pro tip: women don’t respect guys who’s whole life is dedicated to seeking their approval.

I might try running further next time. I have asthma and usually lose my vision before I can make it very long though

that's just general anxiety
I drink until it goes away then video games are fun again

You don't get ECT unless you have something like literal psychosis or are severely bipolar.

None of that shit helps when you don't really have any goals, which it sounds like you don't when you just want to enjoy video games more.

I've never had real goals you're right. I was always asked what makes me happy but I could never think of anything. my only hobby outside video games is making music, but I get fatigued easily doing that too. I don't know man. I know I need to do something but I'm just lost on what that is

Yep, I know what you mean. I think both meds and therapy can be great tools, but with any tools you need a proper plan for what to use them for. If you just swallow and show up thinking "idk why not" nothing will come of it. Meaning you have to find elsewhere.

I'm not sure how to get out of that mindset really. I think all I can do is keep going and hope something happens that shakes things up. maybe I'll make some decent art from my angst at least. oh well

I certainly don't know how you'd do it but I just think you should be open to therapy and the likes if and when you figure something out.

This, but with prostitutes

I fucking hate them. I just use them to pass the time before I grow the balls to kill myself

What hobbies did you pick up?

I thought I did. Turns out I was just severely depressed

Yes my vidya backlog is huge, i'm more into finishing my kino and anime backlogs atm
r/ihavesex

Yeah. I have to take a walk, visit my grandma, etc. till I get bored and then I'm dying to do literally anything else.

12 days in
It's fucking bullshit
I've started thinking back to this girl I fucked up with

I don't enjoy or look forward to anything except death.

have sex
get a job
get a life
if you're 18+ you are too old for videogames

I got fatigued from video games too, so I switched to films as a hobby. Yes, there are like 8 capeshit films every year, but there are a lot of classics from the 60s onwards you can enjoy.

I relate so much lol
I started Muay Thai months ago. Got really into it and now go 5 times a week late after work and never miss a class ... I'm fit as fuck now.
I barely have the stamina to keep up with IRL shit after my workouts so games almost became tedious because of the amount of time they require.
I ended up selling my gaming rig out of tediousness and now buy fewer games since they're a bit more expensive, although PS4 games get cheap as fuck pretty fast nowadays.
So yeah, next gen I'll probably buy a PS5 and be done with it, gaming will become just some random time killer like movies for me.

>Muay Thai
Been thinking of getting into it for awhile now. How is it?

It's both completely exhilarating and taxing on the body (this only talking about the cardio aspect). The fighting aspect itself is pretty fucking brutal: It's kickboxing but you can use knees and elbows as well, if that's your kind of thing then you'll be right at home.
For a complete beginner with poor fitness, I'd recommend 3 times per week AT MOST, or else you'll burn out too easily. If your gym is actually good, you'll be on the brink of throwing up your first few classes anyway hahaha.
Trust me it changes your life. DON'T TRY TO BE A BULLY DOUCHE THOUGH, learn to separate MT as your fitness hobby or you trying to get competitive, either way you'll be humbled in no time, there's always someone stronger than you.
Good luck user, and have fun!

>tfw havent enjoyed any activity in 6 years except a holiday to Iceland, even gf is boring
pls relate.

have chex
