That depends. If they decide to add at least one super pad per map it'll be an option on every race and handling types might be better. If it's still only on some tracks handling will be a situational pick at best.

Actually, the fault is entirely with Universal Interactive's awful management. They got greedy and realized they could make a lot more money rehashing the previous games and partnering with Konami for a distribution deal on multiple platforms. They canceled the Sony deal and Mark Cerny left the project once that happened. Traveler's Tales were left with 12 months to develop a new title from scratch.

Reminder Oxide has 6 limps, thus he is a hexapod. Not much unlike an insect. The Horsefly is the fastest animal with it's 140km/h (birds of prey just fall, doesn't count). Oxide is a disgruntled, mutated horsefly that lost his Wings but retained his need for speed.

Twinsanity was the biggest missed opportunity in the series, possibly in the whole 3D platformer genre alongside DK64. It's so close to being a fantastic game but it's short, incredibly buggy and blatantly unfinished. I still think Twinsanity's semi open approach is the best way to create Crash on modern hardware, especially if you can port back to previous areas to grab gems.

I've been thinking about this. This game is shit but does it have anything of value worth including in Nitro Fueled? Similar to how they're bringing back content from CNK even though that game was mediocre. Haven't played it in over a decade so I can't even remember what the karts looked like.
