Uh if someone is threatening to kill yourself then actually it's common practice to intervene. I think you're referring to doctors, and how patients have a right to refuse treatment. As a patient, if you really just want to you can refuse a life-saving surgery or whatever, that's your right. But if you threaten to blow your head off or something that's very different.
