What the other user said, and in mario party 3 if you do ''story mode'' runs each character starts with a different helper for duel maps, some are much better than others (luigi and Yoshi). Meanwhile DK is bottom tier because he's got a bigger hitbox for some minigames (in addition to have a trash helper)

I think it's a combination of SFV being on it's last years and Tekken 7 being on the growth, despite being actually older than SFV. A huge portion of my country's Tekken scene discord are former Street Fighter players. Nobody likes to play that game anymore. It's not even fun on a casual level, ST, 3S and USF4 are much more fun game to just pick and play. Also all these 3 titles have working netplay. Sometimes SFV's netplay just shits the bed, even if you know you have good ping against the opponent. I recently tried to play some games against my friend in SFV and out of 5 matches we played, only one of them wasn't sperging out with rollbacking and having fuckhuge delay on everything. When we play against in USF4 or Tekken 7, it's always a perfect connection.

I still do think that SFV will surpass Tekken 7 in entry numbers but never has it been this close. I so hope they announce SF6 already, I personally like Street Fighter more as a series.

It's not really convincing to be honest. Shirts may have been free, but sign-up wasn't. Not sure how many people here know how FGC tourneys work, but you have to pay to enter for each game. I don't see that many people paying extra to enter a game and not show up (i.e. waste money) just for some shirts, unless they're some god-tier designed shirts that everyone was dying to get their hands on them.

The game itself is miles better, roster is much more balanced and the movesets are more fleshed out. The population is the same since theres no incentive from namco.

Pretty good. We see great character variety in tournaments, the mechanics are arguably the most solid they've ever been, and it's one of the only fighters where every region of the world seems to be on roughly even footing.

The gap between Tekken and Xrd is huge. Tekken will probably get 500 while Xrd will get maybe 300. SF will get 600-700 entrants, so MK going from a possible 300 to 700 is a huge leap. I'm basing this on CB2018.

This isn't true at all. A lot of the MK community dislikes people like the AFGC because of the drama they cause. Why go to a smelly tournament when they can play at home or at a MK BBQ? The MK fanbase grew online during the PS2 era, so probably half of the comp players would rather not travel and stay 100% local. MK also had shit like ESL, Pro League, MLG, WCG, etc. What's the point of showing up to a scene where you have to share a space with smelly weebs who will sperg every time your game is on stage?

Having online and online tournaments isn't anything new or special to MK. If anything organising in such a way is a bigger deal for the anime community cause it is the only way they get games. And games like SFV not only have online tournaments as part of the CPT, but also shit like ESL.

MK11 is boring, online is amazing though but playerbase is dropping off quicker than most games

I get plenty of matches during prime time in DBFZ but I'm Super Saiyan rank. I don't know if it's still possible to rank up for people starting at the bottom. I tried matchmaking at 12am and got nothing. East coast here.

SFV will always get you matches because of the crossplay and because it's a Street Fighter game regardless of rank.
