Honestly the only thing I'm coming up with is Blood Omen with Soul Reaver and Legacy of Kain. Which is to say a shocking lack of games where a series actually rotates between a set number of protagonists with their own goals an intentions. Instead of either sticking with one, partying up, or having disposable series of replacements inline one after another game.
