Minimal. Injustice 2 had a similar situation with a glitch that made things easy to unlock and they just patched it and didn't do anything to people who did the exploit.

Mostly his B31 BF4ex combo. Midscreen you can F4 into DB3 or fatal blow after a microdash. In the corner you can just B31 BF4ex B31 BF4 for a crushing blow that does a shit load of bleed damage overtime.

Its his grab special. Back forward circle on ps4. It does some bleed damage but if you can get it as the 8th hit in the corner it triggers a crushing blow and does a shitload of bleed.

I have opened them all except the ones in the throne room after getting the headsamd I dont have sub zero second fatality or shinnoks amulet recepie, nor the souls recepie.
I have restocked the chests a few times too.
I have opened everything all heart, flame, souls and koin chests. I'm sure I have found all hidden chests too.

Thing is I have been getting duplicate gear too, I think my krypt is bugged.
Without the shinnok amulet recepie you cant complete the krypt, it's a key itm. Doesn't make sense I haven't got it.

I'm traditionally a sub zero main but watching the kombat kast I didn't like his pkaystyle, and jax stuck out to me so maining jax. Done his 5th level char towers so now playing as subzy, gonna do scorpion and raiden after then start messing with the more technical chars.

The game is very welcoming to new players. It has a multi tiered tutorial section walking you through basics all the way down to frame trap advantage. The fighting is mostly based on turn taking and timing rather than twitch reaction. Makes for a slower game but with more options. The characters are for the most part varied enough to find your preferred playstyle. The microtransactions are for crystals that are only good for buying cosmetics and tolkens that are also all found in the krypt area. Everything is in game currency only.

Are the tutorials worth doing if you want to master kombos or should I just watch an internet video?

characters tutorials wont teach you combos so go online
i do suggest the other tutorials since they do teach you all of the mechanics, rolls, breakers and get up attacks

You get so much versatility with the special move options because of this style of flow, personally i use the cancel-able nunchuck stance(so i can add an addition low or go into throw), the hitgrab (since when combo'd into on block it can reverse punishes) and the parry since nobody ever punishes with a low.

Turns out you dont need to kill someone with the third parry, so far if its the first parry i kill them with i still get the crappy fatality. I saw my AI do the brutality for the nunchuck hitgrab, need the info on that

I have over 4500, there is nothing worth spending it on as all skins can be earned in game, easy fatality is gay plus they come free in game (i never used one have over 200)
The only thing worth spending the krystals on is a unique kombat kard you like, or one of either the AI battle drop skin/gear because they are bad rng and unfun, and the ??? Location skins which seem to be weekly tower scoreboard rewards. Everything else in in the krypt or towers.

The stuff that really needs patching is the custom loadouts and Tournament Variations

Some characters are Low Tier Just because they dont have their good moves in a Tournament variation
Hell, mkx Had 3 Variations that Changed both a Lot of strings and Specials, they also Had their unique Look

The current system is complete Ass, they should give each Character 1-2 of their custom moves to the Default loadouts
At this Point, quickly Picking abilities at Character select wouldnt be a satisfying fix either
Characters Feel too simple and Variations dont Feel Balanced or meaningful, rarely ever is there an actual choice

Kollector as dlc would have been a mistake.

This. You'd pick an MKX variation and get 4+ moves and 4+ strings that all felt like they were made to work together. MK11 you get a half arsed character who is made to hopefully work with whatever 2 to 3 moves they might have.

The game is so streamlined in general. What you do in neutral is the same thing regardless of how the other player is acting. It is all about those forward moving safe strings. Don't need to think about meter, don't have to think about unique get up options and the tools characters have a pretty tame for the most part.

Honestly the meter being on a timer is the best thing. Other games should take that. This way you don't get retarded shit like SF4 Cammy hiding in a corner spamming hop divekicks to burn meter if they can get away with it, or similar retardation that gives characters with extremely safe meter building options large advantages, like typical fireball spamming dickery.

At the very least, Cammy had to build the meter by doing something. In MK11, you get the meter while zoning them and the majority of projectiles in the game can't be safely jumped over if they are meter burned in the first place.

But no everyone just gets it back for doing nothing. Silly as they can be at least meter building strats are part of a gameplan you have to enact. Here every idiot gets it, and that is kind of the design of MK11. It never feels like I work for wins, but that what I was meant to do is very planned out.

You can use meter thoughtlessly in this game and are guaranteed to get it back. I almost never think about my offensive meter in this game. The split is another issue. There is way less trade off for meter usage cause there are way less things you are using it for. I'll never sit on full bars cause I want to confirm into super.

Unless it's a low projectile, literally just duck. Don't block and they'll whiff right over you for most characters unless you're playing a D tier.

I know, I've been playing NRS games for years, that's not the issue. Now, there is an automatically regenerating resource that promotes this style of play because you get the resource while doing it instead of there being a choice to actually build the meter. This is streamlining the flow of the game by design rather than the players deciding how they would like to handle a situation.

Building meter so quick through zoning is only an NRS issue cause of no clashing. It is almost like NRS games have huge problems through knock on effects they refuse to change.

If you can't walk up to Cammy in SF4 while she builds meter or know how to get around a fireball in SF in general, I don't know why you would give MK11 a pass on zoning while you know that the bar is always going to come back; there is much less of a choice when it comes to meter burning a projectile in NRS games compared to SF and even less now that you don't share a meter for breakers and it comes back for free.

meter building also becomes a thing that influences your combo choice.
in other fighters you can pick between max damage/oki/meter build/corner carry.

X was when they decided the series needed to go in a more serious direction, and they wanted the color pallet and art direction to match that. Unfortunately it lead to a kind of drab, boring-looking game. I would guess that Boon and the team received complaints about this, and took steps to make the game a lot more colorful while still maintaining the more serious direction they intend to take the series in. Whether or not that was a good decision is in the eye of the beholder, but I generally like the way everyone looks, and all the stages are pretty gorgeous.

Yeah, you're able to set different values for their behavior with some sliders in the customization menu. 30 Kombo/30 Reversal seems to be generally agreed upon as the standard "fuck everything up" AI Behavior setting, but this will vary depending on the character and the abilities you choose for them. You can make them fight in just about every single player mode besides the Story, I think. Don't think you can take them online except for in specific AI vs AI modes.

The aesthetics in this game are trash, it's like three costumes and a bunch of palette swaps for said costumes, barely any variarion at all and even then most of these costumes are barely different anyways. The only treasures that are worth while are the intros/outros, fatalities/brutalities and that's about it.

MK players are fickle and MK always does well at CB since it's run by a MK player. If MK isn't showing up then that's a huge portion of attendants not showing up. UNIST and SamSho aren't getting 2K entrants, there simply isn't any community for that, even if all the fake hype streamliners from Yea Forums and Reddit sign up it will probably barely break 1K and will have huge overlap. SF dying is also a huge hit. SF generally had a lot of unique entrants, not as much as Smash, but still more than the anime throwaway entrants (who are a lot of no shows).

I would bet good money that the entrants will be smaller this year unless SF and MK get a lot of late entrants and go 2nd and 4th respectively. If you want to bet tell me.

Tekken isn't growing at a rate that would eclipse SFV 2018. SF is falling off hard because of minimal Capcom support. Hell SFV beat out Tekken at NCR by double the entrants. NWM had more Tekken players, but it was also half the size of NCR.
UNIST is also extremely small. There aren't any weeklies in hotspots, they're not even present at most majors, and the online is less active than MKX.

My main problem with Geras is that story/lorewise he's way too simple. He's Kronika's lackey, doesn't really have connections with other major characters and his quirk is that he's immortal because timey wimey sands.
Compared this to Kollector who has connections with Outworld characters, a more interesting concept/design and a varied moveset, even if he's not completely prevalent in the story he's way cooler than Geras.
