a lot, but much of your play will autopilot once you get used to certain situations.

Once you've played enough matches, you'll eventually get a feel for when you know your opponent is gonna throw faints and punish them accordingly.

Beyond the mind games though, execution depends on muscle memory so you won't really be thinking about what you're doing when you're doing it but how to get to the start of said combos you're performing.

Depending on where you are on screen is the most important thing in my opinion for how you go about doing your combos.

All I want in this life is to die to one of those teleport massacres. Then I can go peacefully.

spoon when you're fullscreen outside of yuzu's slash range it might be worth trying to get some installs or charging grd, backdashing out of that range and getting buffs seems strong as well

Mika is very, very scary if you get her stagger pressure, frametraps, and knowledge of common UNI OSes down. The thing is that's hard and most people starting out with Mika mostly do the same netplay gimmicks.

Mika is very viable. Her upclose pressure is good, she blows up the OS game, and has scary damage off things like 360C CS. Just have to weather the storm of characters with strong neutral control but she's fast at least.

The reason why people say that it’s because it IS good. However, if you have further questions all you gotta do is ask around for some tips and tricks. Personally I never go to discords, but from what I hear they seem to really like helping me people when asked about character combos and match up knowledge

You can buffer charge moves before round start in most fighting games. Gives charge characters an opportunity to setup and not get dunked on in the first 2 seconds of the match.

most games let you charge before the announcer calls the round start. In samsho there's a character that can build charge from character select.

After labbing it and practicing for abit it gets easier.

I think it was unintentional but there's a character with a balrog turn around punch style move that builds power the longer you hold it. holding it from character select gives you a minimum of like level 2-3 or whatever compared to a normal level 1 at round start

I'm in the beginner lobby and just faced sairoux. Just started the game and having a hard time pulling off my combos (have done training just can't do them in a match)

I remember my first couple of months being BnB free and losing many times. It wasn't until last Fall I believe that I actually put in serious work into practicing for real.

I'm sure you'll get in on all of us eventually if you're consistent with showing up to play and practicing the BnBs. The hard part is getting the confirms to do the BnBs in my opinion.

It is, but for some reason I feel like doing standing c rather than 2c is much easier. If you cant do that then maybe give standing c a try

At they very very tip of 6c or if it clips an extended hurtbox it can be very hard to connect the 2c afterwards

Believe it or not there's less cancer than you think in the discord. You'll find who's a fag and who isn't quickly, and you can just play often or chat with the people you like. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread, but 95% of the discord are nice about playing games and helping new players.

I was stuck in Light Blue for literally over a year and managed to make it out. you'll find some greens if you just look.

Sai took quite a while in getting BnBs down.

Mostly actual matches. I'd warm up for a few minutes before joining somtimes but other than that, just get bodied until I started finding openings in my opponent's attacks.

Also, start with smaller BnBs, like 2A>2B>2C into a special move (for example Akatsuki's 214B is a powerful asset since alot of people forget to block the overhead on the last hit).

Once you get comfortable with that, then move on to the mid-level stuff.

Not Sai, but just keep at it. It takes a while to get used to your basic bnb. After that, you can just build off of the starters you seem to land the most and practice those .Once I get it down in training, I force myself to use them in actual matches, even if it means I drop it and lose the advantage.

Well I've been getting parried out of my 5A punish for Akatsuki 6B every time despite it being a 6 frame move against a -6, so I'll chalk it up to netplay and my own inability to time these buttons.

I’m not sure why but sometimes it doesn’t get punished even by really good players. My theory is that at the tip of his thrust, the moves’ hit box lingers for a bit during the recovery frames and makes it safe due to the blockstun it has.
Either that or I’m just being dumb and people just have a hard time punishing it sometimes

It's the optimal stuff that looks (and likely is) challenging.

No, she's pretty straightforward and until PC lobbies actually became regular I was the only regular Orie in these threads which always surprised me. Being consistent with her links on certain combo routes in netplay is the only real concern and those can be grinded out.
