And you lost. You just nostalgia'd hard
My dad used to play this when I was little and it'd give me nightmares, finally discovered the name of it and watched a full playthrough to find it's pretty dope. Wish they still made games with this feel

win10fags now have ads in their solitaire, nice "upgrade" morons
never seen this commercial because i'm not a protozoomer
>not just copying over the solitaire .exe each time you upgrade computers/OS
Still using Win98 solitaire and minesweeper, get on my level
Solitaire's kind of a bullshit game.
I like that everyone played jump start 3rd grade specifically.

I love FF X too user. It was my first PS2 game. Please do not look into how Square has raped FF X legacy. It's disgusting and made me want to cry
commercials are the strongest form of nostalgia. I can feel old when I get nostalgic for things like Sonic 2 or shows like digimon, but those are things I can easily just replay/rewatch today and even if I don't they were at least something I was consciously paying attention to at the time. Commercials are something you see repeated ad nausem for months or even years at a time, but you never pay them any mind. When they finally disappear, you probably won't notice their absence. But when they come back because of a thread like this, you remember not only every single line since it's burned itself into some subconscious part of your brain but all the good times you had watching TV growing up where that commercial played a small role in its own special way.
I think this is a big part of why I'm always so happy whenever those hershey kisses start playing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" every December. In its own way, it reminds me of christmases past just as much as watching Rudolph or Charlie Brown does.

Welcome to Yea Forums
That commercial made me grow testosterone at fucking 8 years old
Remember when wrasslin games were fun and not shit?
Early 2000s and late 2000s were way too different to be put as one category. Drastic switchover from Millennial into Zoomer kid culture happened rapidly over the course of a year(2006/2007)
90s artwork kino please
Saying everything in 2019 is the same as 2007 is beyond retarded. The shift to where we are right now happened more around 2014/2015ish. 2007 was WAY different than 2019.
Now on social media, Zoomers are having similar nostalgia as y'all have for the 90s-early 00s era, but instead with stuff like Minecraft, Wii Sports, and the late 00s-early 10s era. How do you feel about this?
youtube.com
Feels kinda weird, I distinctly remember the late 00s-early 10s used to be widely considered the "downfall into shit era" on forums back then.
9/11 was the first shift into the modern day, 2007 was the second shift, around 2014-16 was the third shift.
Sonic Screen Saver was DOPE
The 2014/15/16 shift was when "Zoomer culture" started. The shift in 2006/07 was more of a "Normalfag culture" like some weird pre-Zoomer culture, but it definitely wasn't Zoomer
2006/07 was when the Zoomer KID culture began. 2014/15/16 was when the Zoomer adult culture began.
Rewind that shit you god damn monster
have sex
Dig diggity dawg
...
What year did it all go wrong?
Many people on Yea Forums said it was 2006-07 because that when the Zoomer kid era began and Nick and cartoon network "got rid of all the good shows" according to many.
Whenever you got actual responsibilities
When I was younger I thought the icon was some kind of robot or oven.
Hoyle Book of Games v1. Had classic Sierra characters as selectible
Based on this pic and your main childhood era, are you gen x, millennial, or zoomer?
Basically this. Nothing compares to the blissful freedom of a privileged childhood. Regardless of the quality of games/music/TV/whatever at the time, you will invariably look back upon it with fondness.
Back when all you had to worry about was completing homework. Your food was provided for you, your shelter was provided for you, your entertainment was provided for you, and you never had to question any of it. You never had to worry about getting a degree/job, your parents aging/dying, or how unfair the world is when you're force to assume responsibility for your life.

>OH SHIT NIGGER WHAT ARE YOU DOING TIER
>Hand
Did you know that there are animations for some of the cards? For hand, if you wait a couple of minutes, you'll a sleeve slide out of the sleeve and then slide back into the sleeve.
You could try imitating your image. That might work.
people will push this material whether its genuine or not. for all we know someone couldve been paid to make those pictures. but i know genuine nostalgia exists in everyone, its just whether the actual thing had soul or not really helps be more appreciative for that creation.
>Use to go grocery shopping with my mom
>Always go straight to the magazine section
>Read all the latest gaming magazines to know about all the new games coming out and get cheat codes
I would give up everything to go back
WTF. I don't know how that sentence was so messed up. If you select the hand card backing and wait a couple of minutes, an ace will slide out of the sleeve and then slide back into the sleeve.

I remember my mind being blown when I saw a kid on the bus playing new super mario bros (didn't have a DS until like 2008) and he could become the big mario from that old milk ad I saw "two or three years ago."
fuck time flies.
Out of everything in this thread, this by far has hit me the hardest. I can't handle the nostalgia anymore bros. All the memories of me and my sister waking up on Saturday morning and playing Sonic 2 has got me on the verge of tears. I'm calling her tomorrow and talk about those days
Thread theme:
'06-'07 was also when hipsters started to become a cultural thing, men's and women's fashions became less baggy and more form fitting, Graduation beat Curtis effectively ending gansta rap's dominance of the decade and cementing Kanye as a power player in music, web 2.0 was starting to take off in earnest, facebook was the cool new place to go for people sick of myspace, Apple released the iPhone (remember when sidekicks and razrs were the hot phones to have?). Point is that pop culture experienced a lot of significant shifts during those two years.
wtf this was a thing? I feel like I missed out
I feel ya, 2P sonic 2 with my brother was one of the few things we really played together more than once or twice
youtube.com
pretty sure the only things we played together more were war of the monsters and battlefront 2 once we got a PS2
oh and budokai 3. we played the fuck out of budokai 3 now that I think about it. I still think of this when someone brings up DBZ instead of any of the show's actual theme songs.
youtube.com
For me it's just remembering the hope for the future we had back then. Something as simple as that Sonic 2 background, the allure of the fancy city back there, the idea that everything is so sleek and stylish. I remember going into the city with my dad when he would pick up the check from his office, take it to the bank in the next building over to get it cashed. The moody lighting and fancy marble walls, the well dressed teller. Looking into the windows on the street, seeing some restaurant with fancy brass fixtures and nice wooden furniture.
That city is a shithole now, and the few "nice" places left are full of monochromatic hipster shit with zero soul.
If you haven't lost yet. You did now

Fun fact: That island was in Cozumel Mexico. Back before google murdered Panoramio ot force google plus on people and you could actually see ground level photography of much of the earth, I figured out where it was down to a few hundred feet based off of what's on the horizon and the depth of the water. I'm pretty sure the island itself was manmade, because it's not there any more.
I'm young enough that I spent all my teenage years browsing panoramio pics on google earth. It helped motivate me to get off my ass and get in shape so I could walk to all the cool out of the way places people found around me, and I'd spend hours just looking at old pictures of my town and places I wanted to go in the future. Google killed all that just because they didn't have enough control about where people were allowed to take pictures of, and because Panoramio didn't demand all of your personal info and a pledge to act as a "local guide" like the utterly useless replacement does. Google killed a part of me when they killed Panoramio, and I'm eternally bummed that Nasim Aghdam didn't kill a part of them, because Google sure deserves it at this point.

COME ON AND SLAM
I think I had that issue of Game Informer.
My friend and I quote that commercial all the time. It's so goddamn obnoxious.
As if deleting access to it and outright lying on their forums until eventually locking the panoramio discussion thread wasn't enough, google still hosts the images. They just don't let anyone use them.
mw2.google.com
And to rub it in, they still display icons for the panoramio images in earth and then redirect you to a smug fuck you message when you try to view them.
Google employees deserve to die
I remember playing that with my uncle when I was a wee lad. That's some good nostalgia, user.
Core Millennial, dangerously close to the Late Millennial edge.
BUD AND DUD: TIPS FOR SCHOOL
DOING YOUR BEST ON THE PACT
Late Millennial going by the primary audience, but I caught a lot of reruns of core millennial shows and had an n64 for the longest time
In my case it's was my dad who struggle to give me everything I wanted
He promised that he will buy Xbox360 for me in Christmas and he really did but i found later that he was fired from his job at that time and don't even get salary from them and he borrow money from neighbor to fulfill my promise. After that he have to work hard twice to pay off his debts
Now i feel guilty everytime when i touched Xbox controller
anons help me, there was this computer game i used to play at school all the time when i was young but ive never been able to find it. It was this game about learning states and state capitols and all i remember about it is there was this clown in a cage on the right side of the screen and you had to free him or something by getting the right answer
That's one of the ODS games. I've actually still have the CD for it somewhere.

I also remember the king portrait following the mouse cursor in freecell.
holy shit thanks anons, I haven't seen this in almost 20 years
I remember playing the ever loving shit out of this whenever we got free time in school.
A lot of those educational games were like that. You suspected they were bullshit when you were a little kid, then you look at them again now and KNOW they were bullshit.
I found him.
Your IQ must be off the charts.
If it was released in 2002, then it's technically Millennial kid era. Post-2005 games are Zoomer.

But Pog suck. It all about marbles. I still see the kids play with marbles to this day

>Pogs
>90's media themed Pogs, no less

marbles weren't popular in my area. how can anyone hate pogs though? even if you didn't play them they looked amazing with official art, not to mention slammers were beautiful.
alf is apparently coming back, maybe in pog form too.
it's all for you.
>Lunar
Oh god damn those games were amazing. Lunar 2 on Sega CD was the first RPG I ever played.
i dont nostalgia like i used to
Emulated games in the early 00's is my nostalgia, before then it's too hard to remember things clearly.
Discovering emulation, a seemingly endless library of games and anime subs online was too good, life won't ever be so simple and enjoyable again.
