I just got arrested at the capital, paid my fines, and went to the inn to change my vacation. Is it worth changing from Mage to Sorcerer so early, and if so should my pawn stay a Fighter to take aggro or should I make her a Warrior so she can deal big damage?
>mage/sorcerer arisen >fighter/warrior pawn Why do people do that. Pretty sure the game tells you that your pawn learns from you. You might end up with a shitty fighter pawn just because all she sees you doing is casting spells.
Anyway for a magic build it's better to change to sorcerer as early as possible. You might come back later to mage to get that passive skill that gives you extra 10% magic attack, but it's not necessarily needed. Fighter pawns do better than warrior pawns in general. But it's a good idea to let your pawn level as warrior to get some if not the best physical passive skills. Anyone that wants to play a physical class should level warrior.
This. Your second vocation will influence your stats for most of whatever you build

>Switch servers finally back up >Still no Travis pawn yet Where the fuck is he Capcom

I wanted to cast the big tornadoes I heard so much about and I also wanted an Amazon Orc wife to protect me, so this is entirely wish fulfillment
Lucas Young
did it my first playthrough and it was a blast, my pawn learned on her own and was a great tank/aggro beast. they don't learn exclusively from you, they can also learn from enemy knowledge and possibly even other pawns.
Hunter Myers
Can the Arisen be a homo? I wish to bed Ser Maximilian next time instead of this stinky ugly witch.
Jaxson Hall
tornadoes are great and all but have you heard about big fuckoff icicle impalement to the face? cause they're amazing.
Parker Bell
They can also learn from other arisens if they are taking to their world. However whenever I saw some pawn just not being good at his job it was often with his arisen being a completely different vocation.
Levi Hughes
I have seen the big icicles and I'm also excited to use those.
Are the ice spells in the Sorcerer's tree better than the ones in the Mage tree? Because the Fazil spell seems pretty mundane compared to the lightning and fire spells
Frazil sucks, go with Frigor for if you need an ice spell for general use.

since we don't really have hard numbers on most of this i suspect it has a lot to do with confirmation bias. or bad inclinations.
either way, this isn't a game where you particularly need to minmax that kind of shit. pick what you like and roll with it, if it sucks, try other options. most of the time pawns end up being pretty good no matter what.
in the first playthrough i mentioned, I spammed the fireball spell a lot, and my fighter pawn learned to grab and pick up smaller enemies to hold them in place for me to blast. shit was pretty cash especially against the final boss where I accidentally killed him in less than 5 seconds due to her zipping right over and grabbing him in the time it took me to charge up the first volley, the whole thing was over before I could blink

Early ice spells kinda blow but gicel/grand gicel is gonna be your best buddy from mid to endgame, lots of later game enemies are weak to ice. Plus it's just viscerally feelgood when you pop it off right as a chimera jumps you and it does one million of those little mini hit-slowdowns.

Do you mind if I use objectively inferior armor for fashion purposes?
Luke Fisher
You can bed/marry anyone, including Fournivals 8 year old daughter.
Jeremiah Miller
Do you mean on your pawn? Nobody is checking the exact stats and fashionable pawns may stand out more. Personally I appreciate it if the gear is dragonforged, because it means that his/her arisen cares.
Mason Torres
I meant on my Arisen
Gabriel Nelson
armor? fuck no, be fashionable as you want. weapons? that's where you get most of your damage, you really want to not gimp yourself.
Josiah Gray
It's a single-player game, why the fuck would anyone here care what your own character is wearing?
Adrian Rodriguez
Threadly reminder that assassin is the best vocation and there's nothing you can do about it.
Tyler Roberts
Never play as a mage; they get shit stat gains and no fun spells.
