All my WoW friends left for XIV and haven't stopped playing it since BFA launch.

When will they make it so RDM can sustain its damage output better lads? Every time I start off with my awesome 12kDPS opener but then eventually settle into the 7k range and finish there I die a little inside. It just hurts.

Most people don't consider dungeons "content" (which I personally think is a shame cause I fuckin love a good dungeon) and we have nothing to get hyped over for raids since all we have to go off of is that it might be about restoring the light filled areas of the First and a single teaser image. Trials also will probably be meh like Bismark EX and Lakshimi EX were. Ravana and Susano were fine but Susano was kinda easy. The "best" trials tend to be the final boss of the base expansion and the following primals so it makes sense people arn't hyped.

Dungeons tend to just be "that thing you get in roulette" though, like you never see people going "aw man I fucking solm al" or anything. It's pretty rare for a specific dungeon to stick in people's heads. Raids I'll give you since they have story content attached to them (I also mixed up raids with savage because I'm dumb)

most content forces you to spend 10 to 30 minutes inside an instance. you used to be able to mass pull in dungeons and dps down mobs for epic boners, scripted events and stop gaps makes sure you cant just DPS the new primals so everyone clears within a certain margin (enrage timer), alliance raids are full of bullshit mobs and damage sponge bosses turning into an hour long instance. the game is full of tedious shit and the only thing making me get shadowbringers is the 3 month fresh period where everything is new and maybe a cool set for my SAM. apart from that i doubt i'll be subbed for even 6 months total. TEDIOUS SHIT.

Yea. I got the Rebirth release on a steam sale, I'd quit WoW in Cata, and I wanted to find another mmo on the market to scratch the itch I lost.

I eventually just had to settle for a private server, I've been having to deal with drama and FRESH bullshit for years so I'm finally glad I can get a Blizzard owned server. I don't know if they ever did anything that would've fixed the problems I had with the game.

Instances are cells loaded for individual players or parties. Dungeon content is instanced. Duties are instanced. Raids are instanced. Eureka is instanced.
The world has loading zones but it is not instanced.
You would call WoW "seamless", except for all the places where it isn't. Good luck getting from STV to Quel Danas without hitting a load trigger.

Regardless of whether or not you want to call it good it's far more worthwhile than XIV's pvp, mostly in that it's a thing that people actually do in wow.

WoW pvp hasn't been 'balanced' since WotLK and hasn't been good since ever.

It has different pomanders, enemies, and a new floor type which is a giant open room. The bosses are also designed to be more easily solo'd compared to potd.

No. At the very least you want carpenter, leatherworker, goldsmith/weaver (can't remember which is better off the top of my head), and culinarian at 15 before you go very far with it. It's really not that bad, it'll take maybe 30 minutes each if you take your time with them. I know leveling shit you don't care about just for the cross classes seems tedious but trust me it's far less tedious than trying to craft without them, after a while it becomes basically impossible to HQ shit outside of sheer luck without CC skills.

Slightly depends on your goals.

If you ever want to make the weapons, you'll typically need intermediate materials from the other crafters. If you want to make Orchestrion Rolls, you'll at least need Carpenter (for the blank pages, though you can always buy from MB too). All crafters need gathered materials. And until they update the systems, crafters really work best with the cross-class skills from other crafters, so ideally you'd have them all at 50 at least anyway.

If you just wanna make potions, though, yeah, they do alright on their own.

You could just buy all the shit leves ask you to make, but all you'll be doing is having the class leveled up, you wont be able to make anything with it without the skills you get from the other classes

Cross level skills are still a thing with crafters. It's on the list of things to look forward to, but they aren't very high level things either. I think you get them all at lvl 15. Aside from that it's really just saving on armor space. I think you have to level all the gathers if want to bother with more than one craft though.

I didn't fully buy into the leaks. I heard we were getting blu, dancer, and gunbreaker. When I saw blu then Gunbreaker at first fanfest, I was believing. So Dancer was something I assumed. And I assumed since GUN was a tank, DNC would be Healer, it only makes sense. Plus both of those roles REALLY need more players. Hrothgar are based. I'm actually more mad that there are no Hrothgar females than I am mad about bunny boys.

It's a DPS with one or two support abilities, and it'll probably be required to bring to raid like all the other "support" dps classes have been. In DNC's first appearance in FFV it's a pure melee dps job that fishes for crits and has special unique gear that raises its crit chances. It's also pure damage in FFT which, again, is Yoshida's favorite game. It has support abilities, but even those scale off of melee power.

Fury and Brave Boost increase their attack power, their support skills are based on attack power, you have to level every physical job to access them, and they can fly which lets them swooce up along side any enemy and punch the shit out of them. They're a physically-oriented support job.
