Entua and the civil war with the robe people are just kinda of weird in general. Both were built up in 2 but 3 doesn’t do much with either.

I'm pretty sure they just serve the purpose to show you how overwhelming in power yamato is. The war is pretty much won by like 3-4 people.

The story is mostly about civil war with a pretty great twist, the gameplay is SRPG style and varies from game to game, but the third one has the best gameplay and I think it was originally a vita game to begin with. Just keep in mind, it's like 80-90% Vn and just a few gameplay missions thrown in between, there's post game though wiht a lot more missions. It's also a trilogy, so play the first game before playing those two.
