Released as a free to play in 2008, it is in my opinion one of the last games with a great design philosophy behind it, if that makes sense. The learning curve and the skill gap were both very high, but it made being good at the game extremely rewarding on top of allowing the community to thrive by having the more experienced players training those who were ready to learn. The soundtrack/announcer was kino and playing dressing up to be good looking was great since you could see your character at all times. But it had to be ruined by greedy Korean vultures and poor decisions, sadly. But there's no such things in s4max and we had fun these past months.

Yeah, I guess it was made a little too early. The thread, I mean. In any case, the room is still up I'm still practicing/moving around in the maps. It's great that in this private server you can actually be alone in a room without sentries bothering you or having to ask someone else to join and be afk, or whatever.

I remember when CS and PS were the only melee options in S4, when melee only rooms were nothing but CS and PS and yet, people still called out CS shitters even back in the day.
Fuck man I remember this game. I had the bad luck of starting it right before they closed it down. I think I might download it and play a few rounds for nostalgia (And lose horribly due to being rusty as fuck).
