What went right?
What went right?
placing ATB in the trash where it belongs
Just like every Final Fantasy which did so.
Blitzball and that’s about it.
Comfy tropical settings. Can't wait to replay this, Super Mario Sunshine, Chrono Cross, and any other tropical summer game.
Its endgame is grindy bullshit the sphere grid is bloated
conditional turn based combat was fun asf. but i also like the atb systems so idc really. ffx had a cool story and the combat was good. that’s really what these games come down to.
over 50% of these games are the combat so. i also liked ff13 though so im sure im gonna get people saying my opinion is invalid etc
>1, 2, 3, 15 etc vs 5, 6, 7, 9 etc
Reconsider.
>People die and Yuna dances
damn yuna finna dabbing on their graves

>Best Combat in the franchise
>Arguably best music
>Sphere Grid
>Weapon customization
>Blitzball
>Summons aren't just glorified spells
>Lots of content that doesn't have insane conditions like Steiner's Excalibur
>actually challenging bosses that aren't just damage sponges
>Rikku's mix
no reason to get Excalibur II when Ragnarok exists
Genuinely great cutscenes and animation, aside from other reasons posted.
>Best and least convoluted FF story
>Great world setting
>Theme of game was death
>Great soundtrack
>fantastic graphics at the time
>One of the first games with so much voice acting
>Went back to traditional FF combat system
>Basically had the Job system with everyone serving a different role in battle then after the main story everyone could do everything like the materia system
>Amazing art direction (the first Final Fantasy world to draw inspiration from Asia instead of Medieval Europe resulting in beautiful aesthetics and colors in environments
This man.
gorgeous tropical setting
great music
best combat system in the entire series
best RPG mechanics in the entire series in the form of the sphere grid
a few challenging bosses that reward new tactics
one of the best, if not the best story in the entire series
aside from Kimahri every party member was very memorable
>Wakka using a ball
>Titus using the sword
>Mythical balls
>3D football is actually a turned based grid slog
>Dumb fuck story
>Straight line corridors: an Anthology
You probably think Final Fantasy VI was good don't you?
>right
Music
Aesthetic and world building
Sphere Grid
Hotswapping characters mid-combat
Correct implementation of linear story telling and map design
Blitzball
>Wrong
Celestial weapons
Starting the trend of FF sequels and expanded universe
Fucking morons not understanding the context of the laughing scene and pretending like the last time they played wasn't when they were 5.

I've tried a few times and could never get into it. Quirky RPGs like the Mother ones, the mario ones and mother clones are the only ones I can really get into. Dragon Quest is the only big classic jrpg series I've been able to really enjoy, but even then i've never finished a single one of them Maybe i am a brainlet, but I will always beat games that really drive me
>all these guys posting "best" track
>no 'to zanarkand' posted
wtf
you hear it every time you start the game up, people got sick of it. It's also just a basic piano medley, maybe it appeals to you emotionally but it is absolutely in no way one of the better songs on the game.
Lulu, Rikku and Yuna
It's overused to hell, I'm honestly sick of hearing it. Same goes for Hymn of the faith.
That song got old fast. I can barely even tolerate listening to it.
