So we got it started it I was expecting 1 with more levels but everything seemed different. i was just confused and gave up on it.

I started with 2 and have yet to play 1 but neither I nor my girlfriend had issues with the menus. It was very straightforward, you might just be retarded.

Overcooked 2 was ok, but I definitely agree the first game was better. They made a lot of stupid decisions in terms of how the UI was setup. You can't even change cooks on the fly anymore. You have to go all the way out to the main menu. When we started the first game we were convinced some levels were just unbeatable without a 3rd or 4th person, but we powered through it with 3 stars once we got good. 2 just feels like the harder levels you have to cheese in some fashion just to win. Like the most frustrating thing in 1 was whenever the kitchen had rats stealing your ingredients. But it was just a small few out of a shit ton of stages. 2 just feels like every level has something on par with that.

You should play 1 and you'll understand his gripes. One was way more well thought out and straight forward if a player wanted to drop in or drop out.

Second game: Press both shoulder buttons on the second controller to join but NO there is no text or anything in the game that tells you about this.

Edith Finch is an excellent walking simulator though. Got it on sale on Steam a few months ago, and it's a creative game with a good narrative. Only walking sim I thoroughly enjoyed, besides To the Moon.

As a Katamari fan, Donut County was a bit disappointing. It's not very much a puzzle or action game, but the storytelling doesn't really make up for it. But it has a 10/10 aesthetic and soundtrack so it's worth a playthrough. And an easy Plat if you're one of those weirdos.
The Arcane Kids games are all gold however.

Of Arcane Kids'? You can play 'em in any order, really. If you can't decide, the release order is:
Zineth -> Bubsy 3D -> Room of 1000 Snakes -> Sonic Dreams Collection --> Crap! No One Loves --> Bubsy 3D (Epilogue update).
Zineth, No One Loves Me, and the Perfect Stride demo (which I don't know where to place in this timeline) are the action games, all based on fast momentum based platforming. The rest are humor or art games. Do whichever strikes your fancy. They're all straightforward, but remember to look up a hint guide for the Dreams Collection so you don't miss out on the fourth game.

Survive is on the ps plus. In Japan only. But the Japanese version of survive can be played fully in English and with us/eu players.
