There was a thread about this last week and Anons theorized that the inflated file sizes were to dissuade deletion and competition by taking up so much space, and I've noticed that most of the games like this are always multiplayer. Doom 2016 had a 20gig size when it first dropped then ballooned to 90gigs when they started releasing the multiplayer updates

That's just a cost saving measure. Kiddy tablet doesn't have a blu-ray drive and memory cards are more expensive.

Its a marketing strategy. You need to be sure they play your game only. So you ocuppy as much space as possible so they dont have other games
