Guys this thread will be focused more on the aspect of gameplay, the Devil May Cry story and also other different aspects concerning the franchise as a whole.
Also we will be focusing on one of my favorite characters, Vergil, because he is a badass and so should you.
We will talk about the possibilities of him returning for a sequel and what his role will be in it and we will discuss what we would want if he were to be playable.

How do I stop being shit at this game? I just started it tonight, so I'm not into the hard stuff yet, but I can feel it coming and I know it's going to hit me like a wall.

We had him as a focus in 3, he paled in comparison to Arkham. We had him again in 5, yet again he was weak villain. NO MORE VERGIL FOCUS. New antagonist, new exploration of other characters. No more Vergil, he ain't THAT damn interesting, and he mostly jobs and loses to everyone kek

That’s a good question, a lot of people fairly complained about DMC level design but barely anyone had offered anything to improve it.
So far I loved these pieces of hell we got to see at the end of the game and in the artbook. I’d like them to keep it that way but with more gothic/barocque aesthetic, infected with Qliphoth roots.

And? There’s no way he’ll ever be an antagonist anymore. Just a rival at the best case.
Besides, he was both antag and protag in 5.

We should have some parts with semi-openworld elements and also parts where you gotta fly to get anywhere.
Combat can also use some evolving, I think we should definitely have some more combos and also maybe a few special moves, maybe Vergil himself can get stronger along the way.

How could the AI of the enemies be better?

Well, Arkham and Arius were humans when Dante killed them.
The pope turned into a demon when Dante killed in 4, maybe Mundus make a dream team with them in 6

Go play Bayonetta. Bayonetta is designed with this style in mind.

Not so much when compared to Bayonetta though. A lot of the enemies in Bayonetta could pass for bosses in DMC. [I mean sure, Blitz and Fury and even Proto Angelo and whatnot exist but those are exceptions, not the rule]

For example: Pic related is basically a standard common enemy. He's about as big as fuckin' Goliath. Sometimes you fight two.

I think they should build up more from the best parts of what DMC4 and DMC2 was trying to go for.

I think DMC6 should focus more on parrying blocking and hits with enemies doing same back with a bunch going at you simultaneously.
And you should be able to buy one moveset to try out.
Based on the analog stick's movements and the way you handle the attack buttons and all of that other stuff, multiple combos could be created along with stylish blocking and parrying that keeps the fluid fast movement going.

DMC5 angelos should be way faster

That's just not even DMC anymore unless you give that style to a brand new character and leave Dante/Nero alone.

But what if, Vergil's sin DT can change based on certain weapons he's carrying while also using like these different power gems for his sin DT for different abilities almost like in DMC2 with Lucia.

Granted, there is some things like JC cancelling inertia and the hard lock on Reversals that put a cup on the very upper limit of the game's depth, but there are mods to fix both of those and even without them, Dante feels infinitely better than he did in 4 due to having weapons that are actually interesting to use, and the sheer number of options due to them more than makes up for what Gilgamesh/Lucifer/Pandora could apply.

Where is this coming from ? The only similarity is their age they are almost the same. Nero was much more edgy than Dante. They don't have the same mentality. Dante is much more loose with everything. Nero in terms of personality is kind of a mix between Vergil and Dante.

In both 3SE and 4SE he's an overpowered meme character that is all flash and barely any substance.
He's fun to play for a bit due to the novelty of it but he's mechanically never been all that good so his exclusion from 5 is such a nothing matter to me.

Dante is more of a prankster with a selfish side until his character development, while Nero is a more typical jerk with a heart of gold from the start.
