You can change that, are you going to play video games til youre a grandparent?

I barely play play any video games at all. I simply don't have the time between work and gym/cardio. When I do have time, playing video games just seem like counterproductive.

why not

How are you going to continue your social life, pay for your bills and care for your children?

Hobbies take the empty spots between those. Hence they are hobbies. How is it any different than if the hobby spot was taken by woodwork?

Definitely interactivity. Especially when it comes to adventure games and VNs, there is a sense of accomplishment when plot moves forward because you made it. Telltale had right idea of branching story but had inexcusably shit execution. Maybe instead of buying shit ton of licenses and making 3 games at the same time they should've considered making at least one game that completes the story and has more branching than either A or B. At least Obsidian games sometimes gave you option C too.

The interactivity compliments not only the storytelling aspect, but there is definitely primal sense of gratification from defeating a hard boss battle that no other medium provides.

woodwork is a productive hobby

Not in the slightest. Hence, it is a hobby. Its inherent value is none other than wasting money and providing entertainment.

woodwork actually makes you better at something, gives you a tangable result and is socially acceptable. youre creating instead of simply consuming

thank u, next

I want to kiss those tits but his face isn't that good.
Also, because I have no life.

Because it's the nr. 1 poorfag activity.

1. be no one in real life
2. use games as a means to hide the fact that you're doing nothing with your time

It's a form of entertainment that have never until recently existed, if I wanted to do things like getting buff and fucking bitches like they did in the stone age I'd do that instead

nice titts bro. no homo.

but if you recognize the pattern, why don't you change it?

I have learned two languages from early age gaming in order to be able to understand the games I have wanted to play, and gotten a partner of seven years whom I am married to as a result of playing the MMO which we met, which in turn netted me a bought apartment in a capital city and a stable job which I didn't have before. Including this, all of our friends own a console and PC, and nowhere in europe has it ever been strange to play videogames as your hobby (in fact not being able to afford has been.)
I know the thread is bait, but this is mostly for the sake of any underage recluse Reddit fodder that somehow ends up here reading these things and somehow thinks they have any relevance in the real world.

There are games that i have a lot of fun with. And there are games that achieve a awewome catharsis when you are truly happy playing them.

i can't read this, its too long and you're probably spewing incel propaganda that i dont want to expose myself to

thank u, next

well I don't play games much anymore so I guess I have

Why?

Yeah, why dont become a hollow big tits man?

Cause it's fun. Also I don't have any other hobbies that I'm "good" at

fun, challenging, mental massaging

Because there's nothing else worth my time, my mind will not be changed on this.
