Albums that are overly self-absorbed with the travails of celebrity are kind of a pop music thing you don't see happen in other genres. The concept of a musician who reaches so much much celebrity and spends so much time in the studio that they lose the ability to go out and have the genuine human experiences and perspectives needed to add some pathos to their music doesn't really translate to other art forms.
