He's def gonna win GSL, hes going to the military soon right? Hopefully they break him for being a Protoss.

True is so dead. He has no chance, Classic is just going to dance his way to this 2-0.

That tiny stargate shaped unscouted spot

CHINNED

November is his birthday.
But there is a few that follow. Gumiho retires by April next year

Fuck forcefields

I think a zerg will just kill him. He did really well against dark and rogue last season but it felt like a fluke

(OP)
Classic - P
Solar - Z
Hurricane - P
TRUE - Z

Solar v Hurricane
Classic v Winner
TRUE v Loser
Deciding match left

I think we might have another case of 100% of Protoss advancing to the Ro16 at this rate..

Attached: most of that army was halluc.jpg (375x204, 20K)

so why is toss doing so well?

Is it the prism drop and pick up abuse?

>Solar is 7:0 against Hurricane in LotV
> "Somehow" Huuricane wins
That sounds horrible,but probable
How would it go, pvp, zvz, zvp...yeah it can happen.

Classic v Hurricane after the break
PvP
Easy win for Classic?

Pvp is the most coinflippy match where the weaker player can win easily imo. I mean patience almost took him out at super tournament

Tell me about Protoss. Why do they hide their buildings everywhere?

The prism is a lot of it, because
>0 gas cost
>always fast warp-in
>ridiculous pickup range
But there's an additional effect. Early zerg units need upgrades to not suck, whereas early protoss units are already useful but get even better with upgrades. And immortal + glaive adepts are a hard counter to the tech zerg has at that stage of the game.

I wasnt paying a lot of attention, but i think he hid his dark templar tech this game, right? You do that because your base is likely to be scouted easily. If you build it in your base they will counter it quick.

During the other set they did proxy stargate, thats so you can cut down travel time and hide what you are doing. If you cut down 5-10 seconds on that unit flying across the map, they can kill more units before the enemy gets his anti air in place.

Because it's hard as fuck to actually scout what they're doing in the early game, and their late game is the strongest out of all 3 races hands down.
If, for example, you're a Zerg and you scout a fast Armory from a Terran, it can only be two things, Hellbats or Thor drops.
If a Terran scouts a fast Lair from a Zerg, it can only be Nydus or Ling drops.

If a Terran scouts an early Twilight from Protoss it can be
>Charge and a third
>Charge all-in
>Blink all in
>Blink and a third
>Glaives all-in
>DT's
>Fast storm/Storm drops
>Could be a 2 base all in
>Might also just be getting fast upgrades
And you can't even reliably count how many production structures they have, because they can place them literally anywhere on the map with essentially no penalty, and finding them is entirely down to luck. The only thing scouting the fast Twilight from a Protoss actually tells you is that they probably don't have a Stargate. Probably.

Protoss is stupid because it breaks the fundamental rules of the game. Protoss design ignores logistics and the risk&reward balancing of units.

lol

Why do oracles have almost as much health as a siege tank?

Generals belong on /vg/ user

Because having as much DPS as a banshee and the two best utility spells in the game just isn't enough.

Generals belong in the back of the army or at base.

And no upgrades. Why does protoss get so much stuff that's good without any upgrades? Oracles, immortals, sentries, archons, tempests...

TRUE (z) v Solar (z) after a break
Then
Hurricane (p) v Winner (z)

Predictions?
Solar then Hurricane?

Solar is really good and generally considered Ro4 material, but he hasn't been doing much lately and the power of protoss might be too much for him. I think he might go out.

Solar loses to Hurricane again.

>2 pvz
>both 2-0 to p
please explain blizztards

tastosis is the best. A classic line the other night was.
>This game is like the beginning of Aladdin, but he gets his hands chopped off.

Artosis is the god of ladder rage, my sides.

I'm thinking at least 7 protosses in the RO16. The only group left where terran still has a solid chance is group H.

I miss Idra and his antics. Honestly, Starcraft pro scene needs more autists like him. They are good fun to watch them rage

IdrA was a fag and his fanboys are the worst. He was just a Zerg Avilo. Not good at the game, a pretty awful person in general, who vocally spouted retarded opinions. Somehow both of them have a bunch of fans despite never actually doing anything except whine and lose.

Why dont any of the units in SC2 have bikinis or big tits?

A sub-100 post thread on the days when GSL airs isn't the end of the world.

A smash stage builder thread died for this

game so dead it doesnt even have a vg general anymore lmao

>sc2

Attached: 1551780564304.jpg (449x437, 23K)

Yeah, I think so too.

Attached: 1529670979666.png (1394x528, 139K)

It's banned from /vg/.

Why?

Yea I know but I think his toxic character was pushed from his managers or something. He was promotic a phony personality. On the other hand, drama is always interesting to watch even if its fake which is still counts as a drama. This is what wwe is built upon. I feel that starcraft community became a bit too tame for me because it misses the theatrical entertainment. Where are the epic rivalries at? The epic Korean player intros?

Why did they let themselves be taken over by k-pop faggotry?

How new?

>most competitive 1v1 game
Uhh sweeties you forgot about bw and unist

I know soO often disappoints, but I don't see Creator getting out of that group. Hell, aLive can win a TvP on a good day, at least against the likes of Creator.

I never really followed the SC2 generals.

>solar is supposed to win this
>z is supposed to win zvp
what did he mean by this?

>Where are the epic rivalries at?
It may not be epic, but Impact perpetually cockblocking Zest will never not be funny to me.

It wasn't, he still acts the same today, he was just as much of an asshat at the remastered launch event. He got kicked off EG specifically because his managers got sick of his autistic bullshit. WWE is fucking awful and you should actually feel bad for thinking anything should try to emulate it.

Not him but I've been here for 12 god damned years and didn't know SC2 was banned from /vg/. I don't follow SC2 generals at all but they shat up the board something dreadful before the split. I'm glad they're gone.

>what did he mean by this?
Tastosis are very experienced as casters for Blizzard games.

It turned into a kpop general, there were no video games to be seen.

Does it count as a rivalry that Maru consistently uses his Champion's Privilege to engineer entire tournaments around avoiding TY?

>I don't follow SC2 generals at all
It was a proto-discord gay ERP hangout where people didn't even reply to each other. Not a single post was about SC2.

No, you're getting SC2 confused with Dota. GSL threads were pretty big around the time SC2 launched, but it was Dota that caused /vg/ to be added.

kpop wasnt an issue after the kpop posters got exiled to Yea Forums due to TKOPA

Maru's rival is the entire pro scene, though. Also lmao trying to dodge TY just to get eliminated by Patience and Innovation.

>Dota that caused /vg/
no it was sc2 because every day there would be several threads that hit bump limit and a bunch of retards making duplicate threads and just generally shitting up the board

People love to hate characters. Its a part of the entertainment. Just like Jofrey from GoT. Wwe was an extreme example. I dont want Starcraft to hit the wwe's levels of fakeness.I just miss the good old days when starcraft was at its prime. If Idra was a real douche then it sucks for him because he keeps making an ass out of himself all the times but that was a entertaining thing to watch. Its no wonder why his rage moments became viral on the internet.

>Disruptors

ooo yes I like that.

There's going to be a SC/SC2 event every business day the next couple of weeks, then GSL has a couple week pause.

Attached: 1554229526289.png (1367x508, 43K)

I think it was a combination of Dota, LoL and SC2 as they all had like 1-2 threads active each at all times. People said that the /vg/ split ruined Yea Forums but it honestly fixed it in the long run I think.

GoT is terrible, WWE is fucking terrible. Your opinions are terrible.

dont bother dotards think the world revolves around their game while in reality it matters very little since its been outclassed by other games since 2005

I miss Idra. I saw a video where he cleared up his act and became /fit/, completely turned his addiction into a healthier one instead

Honestly I somehow hope we get a SC3 that fixes everything with esports in mind, sc2 was a failure

Attached: Konata_Izumi.jpg (1440x900, 296K)

Hurricane didn't do ANY micro to avoid the corrosive biles and still won that fight. Zerg units are trash.

BBBZZZZZZ.....HAVING OPINIONS BAD.....BZZZZZ

Attached: NPC.jpg (636x773, 32K)

That was a GREAT game

>Honestly I somehow hope we get a SC3 that fixes everything with esports in mind, sc2 was a failure
Probably not going to happen, for fear of further fracturing their player base. IMO they need a "Brood War", another expansion pack (no or minimal story) that fixes balance and lets them regain some of the glory to the Starcraft name again while they refocus and plan a Starcraft 3.

thatd also be cool
sc3 could be the reuniting factor though, but thats a high barrier to climb

I also remembered the common but true argument that today isnt really a time for RTS in the west, people focused on quick 5 minute BRs and the like

Maybe next decade though

Nah man, nuBlizzard dont give two shits about making Starcraft great again, they will focus on taking the series on the mobile phones

Attached: MtXdbBFl.jpg (640x480, 72K)

The primary balance problems in SC2 stem from decisions made in the transition from 2d to 3d, they can't be fixed with a patch or even an expansion. An example of this is the overall DPS density of units. Blizzard ported over the Brood War numbers, because Brood War worked. But the 3d engine allows more units to be in a fight at once consistently in a similar amount of space, which means there's more damage going out and fights are shorter.
That can't be fixed in SC2, you have to completely rebuild the game. I don't blame Blizzard for this, jumping from 2d to 3d killed literally every other RTS franchise, Blizzard did a pretty damn good job all things considered, it's just that mistakes were inevitable.

SC2 is better than it has ever been, More fun to watch than SC1

Why not just reduce unit dps and mobility then?

Man, Hurricane is playing this perfectly. He just shit on Solar, that blink micro was perfect.

I think they horribly fucked up on balance too
before the expansions the entire LotV era had terran as the best late game powerhouse, beating out even protoss, while also with options for the best early game harassment and best timing attacks

and then the entire swarmhost meta
its like they didnt change things

i get what they were thinking, too many changes makes an unstable game, but this was far from balanced

Because that completely fucks the game. It changes upgrade scaling, it changes how things like medevac healing scales, it changes the value of unit energy regen. What good would Widow Mines be if it took 2 hits to kill a Zergling? You can't change that because the entire game is designed around the current values. Changing one unit causes huge shifts in balance, trying to do it for all of them without unbalancing everything would require you to essentially rebuild the game from the ground up. If you're doing that, you might as well just make SC3 anyway.

Both are fun to play/watch but I think as a longtime fan since the 2000, I think broodwar is better to watch. The minimalistic distinctive color pallet, the fact that the units dont death balling, make me follow the action pretty damn easy. Lots of times, in sc2 mid to end game, I see a clusterfuck of units collide and dont fully enjoy the fight. The same issue I have with MOBAs as well. Too many things going on on the screen that overshadows the core action

Gook click shit game that killed strategy focused RTS

Widow Mine shouldn't exist in the first place. It's an RNG unit in a game about control.

You know you can limit the max number of units in a 3d engine too right

That has absolutely nothing to do with that is being talked about.

That retard Solar, he had that game. He blew it attacking.

>Another Protoss through

HMMM

Thoughts about todays games?

Attached: 1531757493489.png (293x206, 20K)

How long until pros start switching to p?
Things are getting out of hand

>Tastosis are very experienced as casters for Blizzard games.
what did mean by this?
Protoss are heavily favoured in every matchup but they don't want to make the game look bad on stream

People don't switch they just retire. The good korean zergs either retired or went back to BW, or in the case of Life got thrown in the gulag.
