What's so weird to understand? They "recorded" attacks in a pocket dimension, Abbacchio traps the enemy in the pocket dimension, then uses Moody Blues to pick the appropriate attacks at the appropriate moment to combo the enemy.

How? I don't really agree with the art being confusing either, but I don't even know how you could see JJL as being worse fro sameface than SBR. Some characters still suffer from it a bit, but in general it's much less of a problem than it was in SBR, there's a good portion of characters that have completely distinguishable faces and you never get something as egregious as the Johnny, Gyro and Lucy on the volume cover where they all have the exact same Britney Spears face.

Probably because 39 episodes is VERY unusual in terms of anime production and they probably had to have some breather episodes in the mix to make sure to actually finish the episodes in time without them being Toei quality.

HFTF has had three ports and they've all had issues.

The PSX version is probably the worst. It's the previous revision of the game with the new characters introduced in HFTF, and it also looks inferior. As for the singleplayer content you mentioned the PSX version is what most are talking about, there's a "super story mode" which attempts to be a complete retelling of the entirety of part 3. However all this amounts to is a bunch of dumb minigames on top of the regular arcade mode fights. And the arcade mode fights have this stupid extra "bonus" objective added in which is very unclear at times and just kind of exists for whatever reason. So it's more of a novelty for anything else, worth a watch but not really a playthrough. I will say it's cool to see the HFTF voice cast get to do a bit more in super story mode at the very least.

The dreamcast version is probably the closest to the arcade CPS3 version of HFTF but there still a few minor issues. Tandem input times are shorter and everyone has the same defensive values. If you don't care about either or just want to play the game casually, then the dreamcast version is probably the best home port or

the HD XBLA/PSN release, which is essentially a touched up version of the dreamcast port with screen borders, pixel smoothed sprites and UI, and online matchmaking. Unfortunately the game was pulled off XBLA/PSN after Bandi Namco acquired the license to make Jojo fighting games so capcom took the most harmless decision of just pulling it from the online stores.

Yeah you're not going to have much luck finding ports of HFTF now as the physical copies had low print runs internationally and you can only get the HD downloadable version if you have a modded 360/ps3. Highly doubt HFTF will ever receive a proper follow up or new release because again, Bandi Namco holds the license now and capcom doesn't.

The difference is that part 4's "filler" are slice of life episodes which are very fun to watch even if they are "pointless".
Meanwhile part 3's filler is just fights on a villain-of-the-week fashion. The question is why should I care about fights that I know are worthless and that can't carry consequences?
Part 5 is slightly better in that regard, but I feel like they will never top Part 2. Absolutely kino, every fight is absolutely crucial and carries heavy consequences. Joseph loses a few times too. Fucking A.
