I liked it because I could be a gay space commander.

Agree, didn't like it either

the races are cool

I wanna fuck quarians

Mass effect is literally the western equivalent of a dating sim with a shitty story world and gameplay tacked on

I liked it because you could be an overtly straight space commander.

That's cool, I'm glad you enjoyed it, user.

Enjoy this gift.

my first run was a crazy sexpot femshep and I based her appearance on winona ryder desu

Played renegade earthborn femshep with a ruthless background. After she earned her reputation people were wary of her, but nobody knew that the loss of her men hit her hard and even though she's a cold brutal short-tempered cunt most of the time she cares a lot about her team and would do anything for them.
Also romanced Garrus and fed his bloodlust.

I learned the hard way that sole survivor is the most retarded background

Never played with sole survivor. What was so bad about it?

I like it because no other games let's you roleplay so much and in such a satisfying way like action movie badass. Playing as renegade Shepard is extremely fun regardless of how shitty the gameplay and plot of the game is.

I feel like their should've been a Telltale game for that. Never played Wolf Among Us, maybe that one.

What do you mean? You already are a gay space commander on his way to getting uranus probed.

I played Wolf Among Us and you feel more like a cuck than a badass on there.

Although I have several problems with ME it is a damn masterpiece next to telltale games.

I enjoyed Tales from the Borderlands more than any ME plot. (But that's not a "badass" simulator, ironically)

The end result is you learning Cerberus is responsible for every tragedy in your life.

And then in ME2 you are, of course, working for Cerberus the whole time and NEVER have the option to call them out.

Ironically in ME3 you don't have the option to side with Cerberus on the dialogues. From my perspective that felt forced because Cerberus, regardless of all the shit they did, saved your life, so it was hard for me to be antagonistic towards them.

Now I know what makes her ass look so voluminous.

That's partially why I didn't hate ME3 as much as everyone else.
I always saw Cerberus as the bad guys

But you do. And The Illusive Man says he was not aware of any Cerberus cell working on Akuze and that they must have been rogue. The point was that Cerberus had too many rogue cells, because too many cells were isolated and working on black ops tier stuff. Another one was the Pragia facility on Teltin, that experimented on Jack.

>putting more effort into the boob physics than the walk animation

>But you do.
Post it. Cause I got jack shit.

The closest thing in the whole game to calling the illusive man out is at the end when shepherd can say "you get the help you deserve" to him

Old Bioware had their priorities straight.

>Another one was the Pragia facility on Teltin, that experimented on Jack.
Yes, the scientists there think the illusive man is in the dark, but isn't it implied later on that he always knew what was going on and just turned a blind eye?

Why the fuck did they drop the whole "70s Syd Mead" aesthetics of the first game, it gave the game a much original style than the generic sci-fi look the went in the next games.

Also, the fact that they dropped the whole "mystery and exploration" aspect sort of made the sequels feel a lot less interesting and the universe somehow smaller.

I feel like the first game had a ton of potential to make this universe something really special, the third game killed that and than Andromeda pissed on it's grave

First game has by far the best story and atmosphere of the three. Second one has shitty plot but its concept (everything you do in the game counting on the final mission) was executed well, and it has the most satisfying renegade options. Third game has the worst plot and narrative, the dialogue wheel was dumbed down, nothing you do during the game matters and the ending has more holes than a swiss cheese.

Didn't played Andromeda but I know better than to buy any game from modern Bioware.

>Post it. Cause I got jack shit.
Do you mean, if I have a video playthrough handy of a sole survivor Shepard in ME2? I don't. But I've played a few sole survivors myself and that conversation about Akuze was the first time I heard about Cerberus having rogue cells, long before Jack's conversation came up. In fact, why don't you try it? It's not like it's near the end point of ME2.

I get the impression that nobody who worked on 2 actually wanted to work on 2. All the effort went into the companion missions and everything else just seems to exist to support a game about doing those missions.

It's like EA took over, gave them a list of "consumer friendly changes" they expected to be made to the series and the only way they got anyone to work on it was by offering to let them add that one thing they really wanted to add, so when they all came together to add their one cool thing they passed the buck on finishing the rest of the game to the same standard.

It's more like along the line he knew they were making a human biotic experiment, with a very promising individual, not that they were have pit fights with kids, doing surgeries on them and drugging one of them with endorphins to the point of orgasming, in order to encourage her to kill people. They probably just came back to him with results from her implant, as to biotic spikes and general output while being vague about her age. TIM doesn't need to know everything.

It made me gay for a few aliens so it can't be that bad.

>cant even jump

EDI tells you that Cerberus is basically small enough for TIM to have personal oversight on every project so every time he tells you it was a rogue cell or he didn't know what was going on, he's either admitting his organisation is completely out of his control or he wilfully blinds himself to what his teams are doing until they spill over and become a PR issue

>Shepard, I didn't know, you gotta believe me buddy
>So, evil or incompetent. Which is it?
>Whichever one keeps you working with me until the sequel

i just went and watched some gameplay on ME1 and it had aged surprisingly well. that can't be said from barely any 3rd person shooter from that era. though it had some similarities, for example the god awful menu design which was a big thing for games in the 360 and ps3 time. also the big ass vignette covering half the screen. and the potato quality clunky animations. so in the end didn't age so well after all.

see also we see later on that TIM has no problem doing fucked up shit for the "Greater Good"

it's all smokescreen and lies

>But I've played a few sole survivors myself and that conversation about Akuze was the first time I heard about Cerberus having rogue cells, long before Jack's conversation came up. In fact, why don't you try it? It's not like it's near the end point of ME2.
Yeah, the akuze thing is briefly mentioned in all playthroughs. The point is that it isn't mentioned that Shephard was part of it, the original massacre in the sole survivor variation

>doing surgeries on them and drugging one of them with endorphins to the point of orgasming

ok, this is lewd

Jack's whole story boils down to

>stolen from mother
>tortured in lab
>escaped
>raped repeatedly
>thrown in prison
>raped some more in the showers?
>rescued by Shepard

The series yes, the first game is awesome and comfy though.
Soul survivor is badass and I murdered everyone from Cerberus during my playthrough. Then 2 got dropped and I was like holy cow I remember Cerberus this is so cool! And then was like oh ew this entire game is completely fucking gay.
This was so depressing
>booting up ME1 for the first time
>walk into citadel
>look around in absolute awe
Fast forward
>boot up me2
>go to citadel
>running around the basements and small dark rooms and hallways
Why the fuck would they do this. They completely fucked the citadel as a hub in 2. Then again 2 fucked a lot of things up. Space exploration, weapon upgrades and accessories, health and armor, vanguard

>most satisfying renegade options
Did you not get that one cult to surrender to you and then execute the leader and proceed to murder every member afterwards to make your way out of the place in mass effect 1?

i played the first mass effect for like 2 hours and then fucking uninstalled

go back to fortnite

bioware = gay shit

Best space opera I've ever played. Minus the most recent abomination.

Fantastic characters, fantastic sense of scale, incredible maps and locations, everything about the original trilogy was dope.

All the games are good in their own ways. Suck my dick. God tier games.

>I'm captain shepard and this is my favourite store on the citadel
