Cause Dragon Quest is the blandest jrpg you can possibly play and jrpg is pretty shit to being with

I just started playing it for the first time two days ago on PCSX2. There's no way I'm playing on some shitty little 3DS screen and being able to speed up running around the overworld and leveling is great.

That's the kind of thing that burned me out of the 3DS platform really quick, downgrades of oldergames.

I loved 8 but 11 feels like 1 step forward, 3 steps back in terms of design even with all the changes for the DS version. They failed to realize that having orchestral versions of the music in the game isn't the problem, its that theeres only like 5 fucking songs in the entire game.


Also you straight up have to backtravel like 3 times in the entire game if you want to finish it completely. Its fucking dumb and a gimmick. The entire game is super linear without much side content.

There's a patch that puts the PS2 OST into the 3DS version of the game. Sadly, it's hard to find prepatched and/or without it already being patched to have the Japanese dub which is fucking stupid, considering the English Dub is vaslty superior, which is of course crazy to say for a japanese RPG

There a a little bit with the XIS announcement. It was fun for about a month.

3DS with the music patched is 'better' but the graphics make it almost unplayable. Not that the vanilla PS2 version was the Killzone of it's time but it at least still looks decent in 2019 on PCSX2.

3DS version actually makes grinding a shit load easier but you can see enemies on the screen, this actually includes metal slimes, something DQ11 does not let you see. You can see enemies on screen in D11, but its a crapshoot if metal slimes are in... But funny enough in some locations they're plentyful, another big beef i had with DQ11, its so fucking easy because leveling is a joke. You had to really hunt metal slimes in 8. In 11 you get them half your battles in certain locations.

Finished it on PC. It was neat, but not much to talk about honestly.

DQH3 when!? I want them to do more with the Monster Coins, a Joker/Heroes combo kind of a game.

I can cherry-pick cute white girls that look more like anime characters than ugly asian girls. Look up mukokuseki, that's the truth. They generally don't look like any race. Popular anime characters just look like attractive "people"
