Yes. We all generally agree gold was the best one.

>posting none transparent gameboy
plebo

Akhsually /vp/ has now abandoned bashing kanto and is attempting the same with Johto so it's only a matter of time before it is just as hated

Unfortunately yes
I love gen 3 and 4 but 2 is essentially the peak of the series
Although Heart gold and soul silver take the games and do nothing but improve so gen 4 is technically the best in my opinion

2 > 3 > 5 = 1 > 4 > 6 > 7 > 8
also play rom hacks

R/B/Y was the peak soul but you people didn't even exist then so you wouldn't know.

what?

>Soulless graphics
>slow as fuck

I just finished Crystal for the first time a couple hours ago. Comfy as fuck

yes.
it was the perfect addition to gen1.
>+100 pokemon fit really good with previous ones. now we just get a random mix of already existing pokemon.
>you could go back to previous region and interact with the same characters. so you felt the connection to previous games. gen 3+ feel to much disconnected from each other

I believe that to reach the same level of "addition" to a previous gen, they should try to do the same. like think about sword/shield connecting back to x/y. And i don't mean just lorewise (as it is supposed to be), but also letting you explore both regions.

>Indigo GBC
Yes
If it's Pkmn Silver, then double yes.
If it's Pkmn Gold, then it's almost yes.

Tied with gens 3, 4 & 5. But also, .

It was great. Gold and Silver built on what made Red and Blue so much fun, but the franchise hadn't become formulaic yet. That being said, I'd argue the formula didn't get tedious until they started putting longer "cutscenes" and more story into the games.

this, Pyrite and Prism are amazing

That's done it, fucking 10 seconds of sound makes me want to pay Gold/Silver

Pokémon Crystal was peak soul.

Does nothing is more like it.
It barely fixes any of the issues with GSC.

Best battle theme coming through youtu.be/FGBIwd1fbqY

Full of soul

original is always more soulful

I don't think there was any point in my life more full of wonder than that. Being born around '92 really was the perfect time to get into Pokemon.

>finding out you can go back to Kanto

This was fucking huge for me

What filter is that?

I've only played Blue and Silver but I always thought Gen 3 had the most soul.

Shut up bitch. I'm 100% positive I'm older than you and I can tell you're wrong. GSC was the peak. Graphics, pokemon, music, etc. Stay dumb.

>Going back to Kanto to fight the old gym leaders again
>Fighting Lance again
>Fighting Red

level curve

Not only was it peak soul, that time was also the peak of my life. Nothing better than playing Pokemon on your gameboy for hours end when you're 11 years old without having to share it with anyone, unlike the pc and consoles on which me and my siblings had to take turns. Not a care in the world other than catching pokemon and playing N64.
