It's a tiny bit sad that Ocelots aren't really "useful" anymore, but I guess I can appreciate mobs that are more for flavor

That’s fine in single player but even when I was just on a 3 player server it was difficult to get everyone to sleep. I can’t imagine how annoying it is with even more people.

No, you don't need to sleep. Literally just lay in a bed for a second and they won't spawn for that player.

Stonecutter is amazing when it comes to cutting back on how much stone.
Grindstone is free XP if you horde mob enchanted tools.
Cartography Table is serviceable at best.
Smoker and Blast Furnaces are situational as fuck
Loom is only useful if you're into making flags.
Fletching and Smithing are just plain useless.

New lighting is always nice. Looks quite good, too. Like Lanterns more than I thought I would. Always thought something like the new utility blocks would be a good addition. Sad not all of them have a (good) use but it's a step in the right direction for sure. More depth to utility and UIs is just nice. New weaponry is good. Glad it's separate but still equal for the most part from the bow. Haven't had much experience with the new trading but discounts are cool, IG. I dislike how long it's going to take to level up villagers, because honestly trades are either for getting easy emeralds from renewable shit or broken stuff like mending books or the like. Making it more tedious without more depth is just annoying. And so is breeding villagers. Gossip is a good feature. Raids are very fun, big step up from zombie raids. I think the pillagers should be buffed a bit, spread out the enemies so dealing with them is less spamming piercing arrows and more actually defending a complex base, stop their pathfinding and spawning from getting them stuck and making you run all around just to find them. Also: Maybe let Ravagers ram into walls to destroy defenses? Any village with a servicable wall is basically foolproof to pillagers. I always thought creepers should seek out player structures to self destruct but there's not really any reason for these massive beasts to be stopped by a dirt pile. I enjoy the new way to find totems. Step in the right direction, mid level "boss" that isn't as hyped as the ender dragon/wither or as underwhelming as the guardians/mansion.
New villages are very cool. Look much better than before. The way they morph into the generation is sick as fuck. I will probably reload all my other village's chunks in my 1.13 world just to get stuff like this. Cats are nice. new textures are better than expected. Still better off with a texture pack. Campfires are nice. Glad my Factory's chimneys can now have actual pollution.
Wandering trader is ok.

Been fucking around for a while by creating new worlds and walking around for a few days before making a new world.
Is it me or villages are more common? In the 16 worlds I created, 9 had villages close to spawn and 2 had some farther away. Which is neat, but it seems to be an easy way for resources. A village is optional so I guess I could just choose not to go to them.
Also I want optifine to update so I can shaders and play a full play through of a new world.
