These guys are right. Sigma by himself makes Infinite a fun game, he's that good. He's arguably the most fun character in the entire Vs. series to play as; Nemesis/Sigma was one hell of a team that tricked me into playing the game twice as long as I would have otherwise. I would kill a man for him (and Nemesis) to be in a better fighting game.

Team Ninja is such a weird pick for this game but I'm interested in how they pull it off. The team's track record is all over the place but MUA never had very deep combat or complex level design, it was just a fun arcade brawler with a big roster, and they've worked on Musous before, so they have experience with that.

Marvel's side hurts to look at from the roster picks to their designs. Not even Venom is enough to justify me buying this game and I fucking loved him in the earlier games. Plus the game just looks fucking ugly. I thought the whole point of MvC was the clash of comic icons and video games. Presentation wise Infinite has no identity other than MCU characters are in it for better or worse.

There's a few decent moments in it.

Marvel's gaming division basically hand the license over to anyone who wants to fund licensed games, including platform holders, as long as they're willing to pay a decent share of royalties and allow the mouse final creative say. We know that Nintendo approached them for this, just like Sony did for Insomniac Spidey and Iron Man VR.

Honestly, if you're annoyed about them not being multiplats, take it up with the third-party publishers not being willing to fund good-quality Marvel games.

Square and PlayStation have Marvel licenses. From what's been said they can sub any Marvel game to any high caliber studio, then the publisher can make it exclusive.

Chinese audiences eat up shlocky CGI fests regardless of whether or not they have any prior history or knowledge of the IP. Look at Bayformers and numerous superhero movies; they tend to do great there just on spectacle value.

They're a big part of the reason why these superhero movies consistently do over a billion at the box office now. It's gotten to the stage where Disney kowtow and pander to them; the Doctor Strange movie from a few years ago being the most infamous example.

Iron Man VR is set in the same universe as Spidey. Beyond that, the only non-crossover Marvel game on the horizon is the Crystal Dynamics Avengers game, which has been MIA the past two years.

We'll probably see quite a few of these MVU games next console generation.

Ghost Rider on PS2 is basically a cross between DMC1 and God of War 1 with a better version of Bayonetta's motorcycle stage between levels.

If Platinum got a Marvel game I'd rather a Heroes for Hire game with Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Put Saito on as director and the Madworld/Anarchy Reigns music people on the OST and that's a guaranteed hit.

It'll be interesting how they bring X-Men in. I'm guessing Disney is going to look long and hard at how Dark Phoenix performs, and if it does well it'll be tied into the MCU with a soft reboot that changes the circumstances of the first movie to something in the 80s instead of 60s and use a bit of CGI aging like Fox already is. They're probably keeping an eye on Venom 2 as well.

For some reason I really like stories where Punisher handles comparatively mundane cases. There's that short story of him simply ringing the doorbell of a couple that was using their children to film CP, inviting himself in, and shooting them dead in the basement with a silencer to not traumatize the kids any more than they were already.

Black Panther was black pride. People didn't go nuts over Iron Man 3 basically co-starring rhodey.

The problem with DC is that the characters are so OP and it's hard to do justice to someone like Batman with just 4 special moves. For Marvel the characters are intentionally simpler and less OP so you can have someone like Captain America bring something to the table. Exceptions are there of course like Strange, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, Jean etc.

The Donte DLC alt is unironically better-looking.

She had all of 15 minutes of screentime in Endgame and ultimately did nothing but blow up a spaceship, there was a 45-second "GIRL POWER!" scene that frankly felt more like blatant tokenism and smacked of "Fine, here you go" than anything else, and it last for a good 45 seconds.

Men still did everything, a man still saved everyone at the end, and the other woman that died was swept under the carpet by the end of the movie during the lavish funeral for the male character. Even the female character who's supposed to be stupidly powerful had 1 minute of screentime and didn't do shit.

Tom Lee said himself though that Ninja Gaiden is "in the shadows" for the foreseeable future following Nioh selling really well; shit needs time to recover after 3 and Yaiba put a big dent in its image.

I unironically thought Venom was a good movie. It had its share of flaws for sure but Venom/Eddie were great and really the only reason I wanted to see the film. Get a better villain, tune up the graphics in the CGI, let Hardy be a little goofy, and there you go. Potential for a great sequel.
