How old is Link during The Wind Waker?
How old is Link during The Wind Waker?
he's cartoon years old
I think he's like 12 which is how old Young Link is during OoT.
Thats not the same Link. Explained in very 1st cutscene.
He became of ageat the start, which can mean whatever you wish.
>How old is Link during The Wind Waker?
legal
old enough
I headcanon him as the same age as adult Link from OoT. I know Brawl said 13, but eh.
69
f-for what?
He's 12
Old enough to save the fucking world
General consensus is like 12 or 13, I think that's what the Smash trophy said. However, it should be noted that
>the hero everybody jerks off was Adult Link, not Young Link
>everybody is okay with him going off on his own to adventure and shit, no comment is ever made on his age, unlike in OoT and MM where everybody calls Link out for being a kid - WW Link even gets the deed to a house
>he and Tetra seem to be the same age, and everybody is okay with Tetra captaining the ship - the one pirate blushes when another jokes about him and Tetra having kids
>other characters are seemingly adults but are just as short as him - Grandma, the old man on Outset, Niko and a few of the other pirates, etc.
He could feasibly be like 16 or 17.
Maybe they just realized it didn't make sense for people to doubt Linl's capabilities when the hero of legend was mentioned to be a child as well. Always thought it was dumb that OoT Link needed to age physically to fight Ganon when NES Link did it just fine.
How old was NES Link?
he isn't claiming it's some other link
I'm not an artist, but I think you could totally draw WW Link in OoT's artstyle as a short 16 year old and he'd look great.
Link’s 12...where the fuck is all this autism coming from?
>Thats not the same Link.
The same Link as who? OP asked about a single Link.
refute these
He turns 16 in Zelda 2, so a few years younger than that in Zelda 1
NES Link is 12 in Z1 and 16 in Z2, OOT Link is either 10 and 17 or 9 and 16 depending on the sources
He looks about 15, OOT Link was 19, 4 years strength isnt that much of a difference, he’s strong enough to wield the master sword
OOT Link was 12, it says so on the Brawl trophy
>Toon Link is the same age as the hero of time, 12
It's a video game, the "people" that react to link are just lines of code that react how the devs told them to.
You're reading too much into it.
>using Smash as a source
This.
This is the same game that said the end bosses of each Donkey Kong Country game were siblings and that Wolf and James had a relationship
No one comments on his age because the time gap wasnt included in this game, it was just a feature that allowed you to feel the difference. WW is a bit more hostile and the pirates don’t treat Link like a kid because he’s saving his sister like a man. Anyone who can sail is probably treated like an adult in the WW world, because it resembles medieval times 20 is middle aged and youths often sought adventure, riches and fame if they didn’t have parents and could wield a sword
And in times of peace, like in the OOT child timeline, kids should be on the farm or in some castle orphanage, it was a more peaceful time after the war
Even ignoring all that, OOT Link just plain wasn't allowed to wield the Master Sword until he grew up. WW Link can use it just fine, and there's no other example of a child Link using it.
because WW Link is Aonuma's special OC Link that can do anything
Well Link was originally supposed to age over time in WW, to counteract this plot hole I believe they made it so the Master sword didn’t have its original power and Link had to earn it.
To be fair it was dead when he first drew it so it didn’t have any aging power in it
It clearly looks unreasonably huge for him
>wolf and james had a relationship
Im sorry, what?
seconding this
He's 12 you sick fuck.
12 is the most trustable age.
>i-its from a smash!
are there any more reliable source than smash which explicitly says the number of his age? it’s not a fucking fanmade game you know
young enough to be cute, old enough to get lewd
God I hate Toon Link so much.
why?
And the sages probably realised what a stupid idea that was after last time Ganondorf was able to take over Hyrule unobstructed because they had to lock Link away for seven years.
The statue of the Hero of Time in WW's Hyrule Castle is what an adult proportioned toon Link looked like. WW Link was clearly not tall enough to match his proportions.
There was concept art showing the WW Link growing from child to adult and you can even see the statue of the Hero in Hyrule Castle as a WW Link grown up.
whats the age of consent in hyrule?
Old enough to wield the Master Sword, obviously.
That's the hero of time in the statue
they didn't even get the hair right
I didn't say it wasn't, I just said the overall style of the game showed you what WW would probably look like as an adult.
13~
OoT Link- 9 to 16
WW Link- 13
Maybe thirteen is adult enough.
