I'm alright, I used to play ermac and reptile and they're both gone of course. I knew lots of long combos in mk9, but I never actually bought mk x so I didn't really learn any combos. I just work with my fundamentals of fighting games basically.

I really like Noob Saibot. I haven't played since UMK3.
Kollector and Ceras(?) are interesting.
I would like to play a grappler but not sure who fills that role.

Sub-Zero primarily, like in most of the games. He's been my main since MK1. Other than that I've been playing around with Kano, Erron Black, Jax, and D'Vorah, though I'm probably going to drop her unless she gets some serious buffs in a balance update. She's a huge step down from her MKX appearance. Interested in trying Cassie Cage, I never got into her in MKX but she seems to be top tier as fuck again so I feel I should at least be familiar.

I've been doing AI tower battles whenever I play lately which hasn't been a ton. I just want to horde resources.

Is Johnny bad or am I just garbage? He has almost no overheads or lows really from strings, and tons of his shit just hits high and gets punished by literally anybody ever crouching.

Why do you like those characters? I wouldn't say that there is any one character who resembles both, Skarlet or Noob might be the closest equivalents. Geras maybe but you have to also learn to play him as a grappler. Shao Kahn is good at controlling mid-screen and punishing people trying to come at him like Ermac but they aren't very similar aesthetically.

I've gotten torn up by some good Johnnys but I think he gets most of his mileage from whiff punishing. If you want someone who is just unga rushdown like he was back in MK9 Liu Kang is better in almost every way.

I just thought they were cool so I learned them. I liked ermacs teleport and reptiles slide which I basically used for the same purpose to switch sides and get a hit, also liked their projectiles and all ermac's cheap magic grab shit. Really gonna miss switching up Reptile's slow poison ball and the fast one and his poison spit, too... So I guess I'll try Noob and Shao Kahn.

This studio is above every Japanese fighter simply because the netcode is good isn't PS2 tier trash like every Japanese studio peddles.

I like Frost, played a bit of Baraka and he was fun

My main strengths in this game seem to be juggles, but I’m still working out my knowledge of them. So far I can reliably combo into Frost’s drill move from an uppercut, or her winter winds kombo. I’m still trying to find the right variation for Baraka though.

Kabal is a lot of fun, same with baraka, but man, when the AI in the towers (for grind) is more skillfull than you are, it hurts like hell.
