I can't believe this

I made a thread just a little while ago but couldn't reply to posts because i was out walking my rabbit.

I'm here now in case anyone wanted to talk about the W3 mod. Videos:

youtube.com/watch?v=dBFeCMT7KUo

youtube.com/watch?v=8epSuY3F9Ao

Someone asked if i had the camera follow Geralt on a timed delay - that's not the case. I've disabled the vanilla attack direction, so now G only hits where the cam is pointed. What you asked about is me manually setting up the cam for each upcoming attack, switching between RS & X

Lets talk guys, I'm a little bored

>walking my rabbit
>walking simulator mod
not surprised

I don't know what the fuck I'm looking at but it looks pretty good

shes really cute actually, ill upload a vid i took yesterday!

and lolno the mod isnt a walking sim actually, ive just mixed around stamina values for most aspects, promoting a more careful usage of sprinting to not get fucked. Taking qs from games like DS, Gothic3, RDR

thanks man, its a collection of mods and tweaks im working on to make the game feel current gen

Sounds boring.

>Walking my rabbit

Ah man that sucks, i was hoping you'd think it was cool

what's the point of the mod? The vanilla camera is great for combat.

I didnt enjoy the vanilla combat, is was much too focused on numbers and not on the gameplay-feedback-cycle. And it didnt feel aligned with how the game presented itself, like a dark and brooding world where choice is supposed to matter. The combat felt to arcadey to fit that thematically. Either way the combat metagame is the least changed aspect, mods more focused on things like the player not having access to a map nor their inventory when not next to Roach. Can demonstrate whatever if wanted, have W3 running in background. Also rabbits still here, chilling next to me. sry for wall of text

uploading some pics to keep the 6 of you (checked video views, ty) entertained

added the ability to manually rear, holding LT (spurs) and RT (break) simultaneously does this

Attached: 20190427112058_1.jpg (1920x1080, 493K)

have plans on making all nearby NPCs stop and look at you when entering taverns, so as to make it feel like youre unwelcome or have frightened them. Not yet tho

Playing this on a PC from 2016, on a 970, so i can't yet install all the insane supreme graphics mods or 10000mile draw distance. Check this guys channel though if you wanna see what that looks like: youtube.com/watch?v=-XpFI2Egv7o&list=PLmYtE3fg1EWW7H1clbdtV-yL0RReqcoFH

Not too shabby for a game from 2015

good luck on the project

Any mods to add new soudtracks?

thank you my man, and thank you for writing. Will release the entire thing as a chunk for anyone to download sometime in the future

ok this is gonna be an audible cringe from me.
Yikes.

>immersive cam mod that's already out
hook me up?
also OP if you can please simulate a DoF effect similar to the one in RDR2

Oh bro, you are in for it. Not only am i manually setting when music should play at all (current model: only in settlements, in combat when taking damage && hp

nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/689

Cute shit i hate my gfs bunny its a little asshole

Can you make Yen's breasts bigger?

IC only affects the cam. This mod affects other parts of the game aswell, such as movement, controlls, removal of HUD-elements, adding the tiniest of vibrations to things Geralt does (mounting Roach, firing crossbow, climbing, landing etc) changed and cleaner main & death screen and so on.

Mods not just trying to mix around thing, its all about making the gamefeel astronomical. It's my bad for not properly being able to demonstrate

Really? I just let her out and watch her run around outside for 15 mins and then she comes when i call. Did you see the vid? She's like a fucking pokemon

>*whistles for magic horse*
>autoruns on road to quest marker
These for instance are impossible. Roach never respawns, and I increased her hearing range to 100m so its your responsibility. Autorun is naturally modded out, and no map is practically available

Are you guys getting what I'm getting at with this mod? For all you who remember the 'downgrade' nonsense, thatll be it

clever man

also, lmao

most of you have probably already noticed, but Geralts head also faces where the camera is pointed. This pic shows it pretty well.

I managed to get some guys named Skacik's old mod running with the latest version of the game

Attached: 20190303010713_1.jpg (1920x1080, 395K)

Thats pretty cool, are you going to be doing anything heavily with combat?

This mod heavily leans on another mod called Friendly Meditation, but I have made changes.
Its activated by holding LS, and unavailable to select in the common menu. Meditation within 9 meters of a Place of Power now opens the character panel to select skills. There's no other way to open that screen. This little change forces the player to venture to nearest Pop (remember, very limited map usage) to unlock new skills after leveling. However, since i very much love DS i've made the game quite difficult and lowered all droprates for enemies. These things alone changes player behaviour to act more in line with the game's themes which is what the mod is about. You will now no longer approach a band of bandits in a sprint of retardation, or youll just die like a mongoloid. What do you guys think? Im pretty happy with it so far. When playing, it feels like a mix between W3, the first Dark Souls and Dragons Dogma. Default walking speed reminds of Morrowind, making the gameworld feel fucking huge

Attached: 20190303003009_1.jpg (1920x1080, 415K)

this camera is claustrophobically close to Geralt.

Yeah, see this:
My final goal with combat is to make everything feel as intuitive as possible, and removing all HUD elements for the player to focus solely on whats going on. Focus is on making the feedback between using controller and whats happening onscreen feel legitimate and accurate, and then make the game incredibly unforgiving (but not stupid of course)

Another goal is to have no common menu (the horizontal one where you select inventory, map, character etc), and only have that outsourced to contextual button presses. Come very far on this, in final stages of being able to play 100% without pressing Start a single once

>urge to reinstall Witcher 3... RISING

Attached: index.jpg (240x192, 12K)

It varies, and the many aspects that would in vanilla make the game unplayable with the cam this close have been eliminated or changed to compensate.

Some screenshots might not do it justice but I assure you it feels fucking amazing to play. Have my PC setup next to my TV and can vouch for it working just as well on large screens

Here's what the game looks like when im having the Horse Stamina bar enabled. When Roach gets increasingly scared (fear meter increases) the controller will vibrate in a pulsing manner, increasing in intensity and speed as she gets more and more scared. All that to just being able to play the fucking Horse Fear Bar disabled. Havent figured out a perfect system for horse stamina yet.

Really like this sc, after changing around with the FOV-values i landed on something that I think really gives Novigrad a sense of scale and visibility. Horse-cam wasnt set up properly here though, hence the large space between Geralt and left side of the screen

More Novi coming for a few screens

is this alcoholic mode? very relatable.

Attached: 20190426195643_1.jpg (1920x1080, 274K)

am i the only that prefers the moroe zoomed camera you get when overburdened?

no, but im working on making alcohol last longer and be more impactful. You have to drink a beverage every 4 ingame hours in this mod, so alcohol should be an interesting option.

Also, theres a weedpipe mod in it aswell

Attached: 20190419171518_1.jpg (1920x1080, 358K)

Nah man I do too, but dont you think its so stupid to have that HP bar? Looks out of place imo, especially since its so baby sized
